  1. This is on tomorrow peeps. See you there.
  2. True that. Silvia owners are permanently out of control.
  3. I have run the GTT pump to it's limits. 224rwkw when auto so add a few more kw to compare to manual. I did a track day and I can honestly say that I scraped through. The colour of the exhaust changed markedly as it was running very lean. Somehow I didn't blow it then so I decided to blow it later. (jokes - but I did blow it). DO NOT TRUST A WALBRO PAST 240RWKW. Have I emphasised this enough? Pay attention.
  4. Nick I can't keep up with you. You're in Melbourne now?! For everyone reading this thread. The bushes you use will make bugger all difference. The clear answer for those who want the performance without the hassle is to do what I did. R32 GTR diff. I had a Nismo in there before and yes sometimes I loved the clunks and groans and skips and when women pushing strollers stared at me I wanted to yell out "Yes I am the f**king devil. Look away before I burn your eyes bitch." but as mentioned by others here, some days it just gets tiring. I loved the way the Nismo locked up on the track but day to day I'm much happier with the GTR diff. I may even get it shimmed up a little one day. Flirt with the wild syde again.
  5. Internally the same. Too much f**king around for little benefit. It's not even that strong a box anyway. I've seen people convert R32 GTR boxes to RWD so I don't see why it couldn't be done with an R34 one. Good luck. Start saving.
  6. R32 box is not strong enough. Anything that came out of the factory behind an RB25 will do. Don't worry about the R33 kms as they are tough boxes.
  7. Ok first thing, it's an R34 GTT, not GTST. Next, that doesn't make it gay. Things can be done with autos and they can be devastating on the street. Third, manual conversions can be done and have in the past. Do a search. The info is on here.
  8. This post will be no help to you whatsoever but can I just confirm what I see here? An engineer wants you to strengthen your rear end because you have wider wheels than standard? What a f**king joke. Are you going to be driving around on Mickey Thompsons all day every day? And you can bet this guy takes himself totally seriously too. Ok here's something semi useful. I have an R32 GTR rear end in my R34 GTT and it's a great piece of gear. Paid $700 for the whole kit and kaboodle and it's tough as nails. Really tough nails that is.
  9. As mentioned it's a similar cost to rebuild or buy second hand and once rebuilt it's basically a new box so the answer is clear.
  10. Dude everything you said sounds great except "drift spark plugs". WTF!? Haha. It is worth pulling out the plugs and checking you have the right heat range but otherwise yes the weather, temp and humidity can affect the tune so getting it retuned locally would be worthwhile. Most of our cars run worse on hot days.
  11. Oi bitch! I'm beating him up first ok?! Once I've totally pulverised him you can have a go. Mwahahahaa.
  12. I just put some on mine to REPLACE the noisy ones that were on there. (That and also because they were too big, the less noise was the bonus.)
  13. I got LOWER readings from UAS. It's just me though. No one else has problems there. My car is allergic to their dyno. Have you got a programmable ECU like a PowerFC? If not there is no tuning to be done.
  14. I used to think that but my car ran within 1kw at Bel and tehn at UAS. No mods. 1 month in between. Similar days. That said, the UAS dyno usually has an allergic reaction to my car. Anything from 20 to 60kw down on expected power.
  15. I'm going to get mine painted properly by Louie at Xclusive Colours. I've seen another car he has done like this (Malcolm's mega clean R33, was in HPI recently) and it looks good. I think he uses a satin kind of finish so it doesn't look home painted like people do.
  16. Are you sure that wasn't on your 300C?
  17. Drifting Mac Pass would be fun if you had the skills to do it. Quite obviously there is absolutely no way you could actually do it without crashing into oncoming traffic though so we will all just have to dream it.
  18. Ahh, now it's making sense. I've got a big bore GSXR too. A Bandit 1200S. It's got the old oil/air cooled GSXR engine in it. I said that once - the faster part, not the safer part - and someone told me to be quiet before I embarrassed myself further. They were right. I have a 1200cc bike that wheelies on demand, 10 years old but off the factory floor did 10.5 second quarter miles and 0-100 in 3.1 seconds. Can your GTR do that? What if I put a pipe and dyno jet kit on adding another 20% more power? I was out on a group ride the other day on this bike and compared to some of the bikes there I felt positively slow. Full noise forwards and R1's, GSXR 1000's cruise past me like I'm on my way to church. That said, you are smart in that you know you can't save yourself ON the bike so you take yourself OFF it. Well done. Chris, I don't see you posting in the event I posted for us? Get to it!
  19. So why post? Just so everyone is clear. Yes it's a windy road and no, we do not condone doing anything on it other than driving sensibly at or below the speed limit.
  20. You're obviously bike mad Large so I am assuming "1990 Gsxr1200" is a typo. Looks fairly superficial at least Jono, race tape a new indicator on there and lets go!
  21. Actually we do. It's in the common law however, not legislative. It's used as a defence to a criminal prosecution but has been fairly narrowly defined. I don't think the abovementioned situations qualify. Fair call.
  22. Can you even register a peewee80?
  23. Shutup fool. /end pointless post and stupid joke and waste of space and waste of electricity posting and waste of your time to read this.
  24. And thread closed. If anyone has any useful info for Mr Reaper than you can pm it to him.
