Was originally designed to go behind a 1600 4 pot and I had a warmed up 308 redlining in 4th. I guess my point was only that you should look after your machinery as best you can cos it can kill you.

IT's because we don't want to encourage silly behaviour. I might make a judgement of a particular situation and decide how far I'm willing to go but someone else might take my tale of the event as condoning some other behavior not envisaged by me.

Hmm to summarise because I'm lazy. Good point about a gearbox being not worth 20-30-40k however I once blew a gearbox at just under 200km/h and I can tell you that I'm lucky to be here. Had a gear come up through the floor pan, and miss me, but still. It sheared one of my exhaust pipes off causing the back section to drop straight into the ground lifting my back wheels into the air at about 180, splashed very hot gear oil on my leg and also on the exhaust causing the cabin to fill with acrid smoke so i could barely see where i could barely point the car anyway. Luckily the driveshaft was held up by the handbrake cable and didn't drop down too. Instant chop job otherwise. Apart from that freak occurance, I own a Skyline so I can drive hard and that's what I do. Witness the fact that I rarely get 300kms from a tank of fuel. I feel the car deserves to be looked after. To be honest, it surprises me how many Skyline owners drive like grannies most of the time.

R33 and R34 exhausts take a different route under the car so no.

I can't remember what brand but a more expensive brand of polish that you can find fairly easily at auto one or repco kind of places first. Did the whole car then a week later did it with that turtle wax stuff which leaves a big pile of silicone on it then a week later did that again. Looked schmick. I'm sure there are more expensive products out there that people swear by but this has worked for me.

You don't put oil in your trannie but yeah, it should have a cooler out front there. Is it between the radiator and the front mount? I don't know but isn't the cost issue with Unichip the tuning rather than the install? Ie hours and hours of tuning necessary.
