  1. 3rd gear for me and 4th for you is 1:1 but I'm not sure if this takes into account the diff or not. I do like the track which is why I thought about getting the FMIC. I'm also leaning towards whiteline for suspension. I've got to get some decent tyres too.
  2. How much power are you making if you don't mind me asking?
  3. Suspension next then FMIC then emanage I'm thinking unless the good people of this forum convince me otherwise.
  4. B-Man, I can definitely feel the difference in the seat of the pants but I'm still to properly drive it. Boost peaked at .88 bar last night but usually around .84 so far. Perhaps that's a little high...
  5. Meggala,Yeah I am. I can feel that flat spot but I haven't had a chance to drive it properly yet since the AVC-R went in on friday. Makes me wonder about all these guys with 200 and 250 rwkw though. Obviously I know that I have an auto and there are power losses there but that was my choice for comfort in Sh!tney traffic.
  6. Here are my first dyno sheets. Car is an R34 GTT auto with full exhaust and AVC-R boost controller. What do people think? Is this alright?

  8. Go now and report it. It doesn't matter when just asap.
  9. I say if you are very careful and state pure facts only then you should be allowed to post. Problems arrise when what someone thinks is a fact is more of an opinion. I work in law and I often come across people who think they know the difference but don't really.
  10. Excuse me but all you 6'! - 6'2" people (let alone the shorter ones) are not bloody tall alright?!
  11. 6'5" r34 I need to bring the seat forward and tilt it back when I'm wearing a helmut. It's fine the rest of the time.
  12. Spotted a white 32 DRFT number plates on Elizabeth Street in the city just then.
  13. That's kind of the way I was thinking too but then I thought about two things: Truckies use it to prolong engine life not get extra performance. It wears off. But yeah dunno about deposits after it wears off. My oil looks like it's still in the bottle now so I'm loath **** with something that works.
  14. New pads front and back last service. hmmm. Alistair or Aaron did them.
  15. 1:20 with compliance tyres for me. I tried so hard to wear them out but they still have heaps of tread. I thought those MR2's seemed fast.
  16. I had major traction problems too. That's a much tighter course than Eastern Creek. Got a bit of 4 wheel drift action going on later in the day which was fun. (Duncan my witness ) Have to say I don't think I was the only one who was confused by what was going on in the middle of the day. I sat there waiting for the turbo sixes and V8's to be called out and it didn't happen. It was a mixed session. The wind blew away the words from the loudspeakers a bit which didn't help. Also the white 33 GTR that was with our group rather than the GTR group and a red 32 GTR at different times both took me under brakes into the hairpin before the straight which people were specifically told not to do. That's ****ing dangerous and the way that people get T-Boned you ****sticks. Where was the flag for these people? Also what was with the control of people coming out of the pits. I saw one close one.
  17. No dude it's a skyline. 4 wheel disc brakes.
  18. I just recently had a service and a week or so later noticed my back brakes sqeaking. Pulled my wheels off just now and both back brakes appear to be slightly on. I can turn the wheels when the car is jacked up but when they are off i don't have the strength to turn the hubs. Could my handbrake be adjusted too tight and be slightly dragging or is there another possibility here? Thanks.
  19. I'm almost always with you on your missions to educate people Merli, and the times when I'm not it's been because I didn't have enough knowledge to have a clue. You come across as harsh but justified to me. The Forum Policeman, Knowledge Division. It's true that Ghostrider wandered around a bit in most of his posts but it was your swinging dick and impressing the 14 year olds comments that set the tone; despite the smilies. It's a public forum. People can and will waffle but there's no need to be rude unless someone throws it at you first. Ghostrider's: "In July '74 I put down a 49.6 around Oran Park's short circuit, during a lap dash event with Datsun Driver's Club, so! where does that put me?" was all it took to get you firing. I would have thought that your answer could have been more like: "Like I said, MOST people. By the sounds of it, you are not most people. That's where it puts you." With regard to the issue of who could beat John; 'a good steerer with a well balanced car' or 'not most people on the forum'; you were stating your opinion, not a fact. FFS! The two of you are arguing different points! See you on Sunday Merli, me and my stock GT-t are gonna kick John's arse round and round the track all day long. 345 rwkw? Pfff I've got at least a hundred and some very cheap tyres. He doesn't stand a chance.
  20. I'm still training mine in series 1 or 2 at the moment.
  21. Just so people don't lose sight of reality. (Not saying any of you are, just saying just in case.) I've seen the results of a Monaro that was doing 250 on a freeway and lost it due to what at 110 km/h would be a small undulation but at 250 must have been a lot worse. Car came to rest 250 metres down the road and 100 metres or so off to the left, set itself on fire and pretty much disintegrated. The guy died in the fire but probably wouldn't have made it anyway cos he was fairly mangled.
  22. I know what you mean. It's a harsh cut out. Scared the crap out of me the first time it happened. I hit it almost everytime down the straight at Eastern Creek the other week. Only just though; car is pretty much stock at the moment.
  23. Exactly I'll be there trying to prove you don't need them.
  24. What profile tyres are you running Nick? I put my old 17" rims on to race and found them much more comfortable with the way they let you know where the limits of traction are as opposed to the 18's I normally run. The tyres are sh!t quality and I'll be using them again on Sunday but believe it or not I felt safer knowing my tyres were the weak link because (obviously being my first track day) I was still learning the car - as you will be this weekend. To clarify that; I'd prefer the tyres let go than anything else. Hope this makes sense. I have a massive one days track experience to back me up here with all previous hard driving being FWD on dirt.
