  1. Pearl white it is then. hehe...
  2. Seriously though. this is a skyline forum, ask the silvia guys, or do some research yourself. I was checking out this forum and SDU for 3 months before I even posted not to mention other sites. I found all the info I could use no problems. Without trying to take sides; these forums would be better if people A: didn't ask questions that could be answered with a little bit of your own effort; and B: ignored questions on the silly side instead of going in for a cheap shot.
  3. I lived in the Territory for 2 years and I find it very hard to believe there is a spot that goes from unlimited to 80 km/h without a 100 km/h in between. I got booked doing 66 in a 40 zone up there. Never left 1st gear. ****en idiot! (me)
  4. It was in the Sydney Harbour Tunnel a bunch of times over about 6 days or so. Speed cameras are able to catch speeds up to 360 km/h I've been told. A mate is a cop and in the training they get told if the radar has three dashes instead of a speed reading call the airforce cos it's over 360. I wouldn't know about accuracy at these speeds though.
  5. :sadam: Saw a silver GTR with a tall guy standing next to it. Number plates SAU. Anyone here?
  6. If you go up Oxford st I'll come out and wave to you all unless it's daylight in which case I'll be playing frogger with you as is my usual form.
  7. I think I'm out of this one but but the sound of things last night most people are...
  8. Will it fit an r36 GTTTR?
  9. Haven't tried it with the line but with my 99 SSS there's no way you could say either that it was lacking power on normal fuel (ie pulled timing) or that it didn't gain it from using high octane stuff. Don't ask for technical explanations (or a dyno reading) but that's what I think.
  10. I don't have any boost at 110 km/h on the flat. Doesn't need it.
  11. Not many people survive crashes at 200 km/h so I'd be taking that with a grain of something. I've seen the result of a 250 km/h lose (estimated by the cops) in a new Monaro recently and he didn't really hit much but he was very bloody dead I can tell you. Still, sounds like a d!ckhead who had our best interests at heart trying to remove himself from the gene pool.
  12. I'm quoting myself here.
  13. Cool, thanks guys. And for everyones info. they are exactly the same brand and model, barring the obvious difference in size.
  14. Oh shit. I've just been told I have to pick up friends from the airport at 10pm. I thought they weren't coming til friday. Shit shit shit. It would have been good to get a proper bunch going but even so it sucks that I now look just like most of the rest of you. Where's my violin and my dagger? Anyone got a reliable time estimate from there to the airport?
  15. What I'm trying to ask is about the feel you get from the tyres that they are about to let go.
  16. A little while ago I was punting around a corner I know very well. Sometimes, when I'm feeling frisky, I hit it hard in 1st (tiptronic) and can get a smooth drift til traction catches up with me. This was with 235/45ZR17 tyres. Now tonight was different because it was the first time I'd hit that corner since I got the 225/40ZR18 tyres on. I had actually decided to go quickly but within traction around the corner and changed into 2nd gear before I got to the apex so I was barely on boost but with next to no warning the back let go in the same fashion as it would have if I'd meant to drift it. I didn't lose it, just grabbed it back the way I usually would but I was surprised. Now my question is; Is it just my imagination or do lower profile tyres by their nature give less warning at the limit of traction or is it possible that the width was an issue? As a side; Can anyone translate the full codes I posted above? PS. I felt the slide was smoother with these tyres.
  17. Book me under the name "Keith"
  18. Unfortunately (in one sense) I have to cancel sorry guys. Would have liked to have met a few of you but will have to wait to Show & Shine me thinks. I got lucky last night and it looks like tonight will be an encore performance. :D:D:D:D:D
  19. I'll park my shitter behind you.
  20. I suggest you just trawl through all the posts here. Stick more to the forced induction performance section. You'll see links to other websites along the way; go there! There's no easy answer. If there was you wouldn't remember it anyway. Repetition works Jive. Repetition works Jive. Repetition works Jive. Repetition works Jive. Happy surfing.
  21. Maybe for you Steve There is time in 3rd gear though... definitely not in first.
