I saw that Navara about two weeks ago when it came back from being painted. It had the original motor in it. Modifications included one backwards facing conrod.

Any chance you've switched one speakers wires? That would cause phase cancellation which is most noticeable in the bass.

Ha ha. In the R33's there is a battery compartment on that shelf behind the back seat but it's not there in the R34, that's why 666DAN was able to put a sub there. I've been a bit slack with mine but it is coming along. My box has been built but I haven't covered it yet or done any of my wiring. I put a Nismo filter in my standard box. You could definitely feel the difference.

I think these before and after threads are good value. Everyone knows they are all relative and that nothing is perfect, it's just an indicator to add to your knowledge base.

I drove my 308 holden with only extractors on and it sounded crap at anything less than 5 grand.

If you completely seal it you are wasting a fair bit of the power of the sub but you will get punchier bass.
