Do you mean me? I thought about manual but like you couldn't find one in 4 door. I'm told that the importers assume that people who buy 4 doors expect the buyers to be older and therefore lazier I suppose. The words "executive types" were mentioned to me and to be honest that's kind of what I am although I really hate to admit it (I'm still clinging to my youth). People who import their own seem to get the coupes. The whole importing thing has become more accessable as time has gone on so I expect to see more Stegea's and 4 doors and other different, fast but practical cars. I've always been a practical person in that sense, no family but I often fill my car up with friends.

Well if you're in Sydney MIC33R you can come and check out mine for a reference point. we can go for a blat and you can tell me (like everyone else) that I should have got a manual. Fug yas all I say. I've now learnt from all of you guys that mine is definitely a series one.

They're different cars. Comfort factor, looks, age, not to mention that pumping that much power out of a 4 pot has got to have a detrimental effect on the life of it. Have a look at all the fcuked rexes.

It's people like you Jamezilla that we need to get things changed. A well written letter to the right few people and hopefully a few more to the same people and they might take a tiny bit of notice. People who rant and put illogical arguments in their writing will not be listened to. When I took 13 parking tickets to court (wont bore you with the details) I prepared myself fastidiously and spoke well. The Magistrate took a real interest in my plight. Not only did she let me off all of them but she said in court that she would speak to other Magistrates about the issue. That's not to say there aren't plenty of ****s out there that were psycologically tested and proven to have, what we would term personality defects, and consequently employed because of that defect; but if you don't try... Good luck mate.

I'd keep an even throttle and steer out (maybe some opposite lock depending on how far the back end is out). Generally if you let off the accelerator it's just as good as braking and you'll lose it but to be honest my line seems to have no problem if I do that. Maybe it's just a better balanced car. People have told me that the 4 doors are more stable in this situation cos of a little extra weight back over the rear axles.

I think 7 would be my absolute earliest possible arrival time so don't make it any earlier. Are we meeting at that carpark near where Maccas used to be? I'm not sure that I've met any of you guys although I did go to the EC drift/skid pan day in December. I think I've got the only R34 4 door on this forum???

I'm from the east but I'm keen since I haven't been on one since last year when we went to... that Newport Pizza place! But since it's the only one I've been on I'm hardly complaining. I put my car in to be fixed today too so with any luck...

Yeah not a bad one at all. One issue we have and we probably continue to have is that money raised from certain areas doesn't go back to those areas; eg speeding fine money doesn't go to improving roads and the money from the Harbour Bridge Toll in Sydney doesn't go to the roads in the Northern Sydney area. We are starting to notice the limits of our democracy lately but have no viable alternative earmarked. It's not like the people profiting most from the current system (the pollies and their associated hangers on) are going to research new democratic ideas.

Sorry to sound ignorant but I keep reading everything about this 15 year rule except exactly what it is.

And I bought my 99 r34 GT-t from there for much less than that too. Great condition and good service. To me it's time v money thing. I don't have time to work on my cars anymore so I work hard to get the money to buy a better one from a place that will look after me if I have any issues.

Yeah it's an auto. Plugs were gapped to 8 mm when I put them in brand new 2 weeks ago. Might try the coil thing over the weekend.

Here's a weird one. My r34 had a miss at several points between 4 and 5 grand under load. car has 68000 kms on it so i replaced the plugs with new iridium ones which seemed to fix it. went on a trip to melbourne and... went fine down there but while there it did the same (no maybe similar). replaced the fuel filter to be sure but no change. what it does now is fart around at high revs (over 5k). it spits and farts (i'm good with tech stuff) at high revs/loads and shits me right off. it got gradually worse so that now when overtaking I never use second (whereas before I would use it it to kick me from 90 to 120 when behind a gobbler) i only use 3rd. even in that gear i don't like revving it too much much cos above 4500 it gets that old miss again. I am starting to think it's possibly heat related cos it's mainly happened on hot days after a fair amount of driving and earlier today i went for a drive and it didn't happen at all. it sucks cos i feel like i have an engine that can only handle 4000 rpm.. I'm thinking coils but surely these suckers should last longer than 70k ??? any thoughts? (other than get your shit together you blubbering fool...) :hellpisd:

I reckon south coast is the way to go. less traffic, less crime (safe for the line) good roads to cruise on but nightlife is a bit of a problem. Just make sure you go further south than nowra at least.

It would cost you more to chase it through the courts than it's worth but a contract is a contract whether it's written, verbal, emailed or whatever. I haven't finished my law degree but I have passed contracts. You could write him a letter saying that you know who he is and that you will sue him for the money plus costs and generally make life hard for him. You can use the Small Claims Tribunal or whatever it's called in your state. Be up front with him and say that you realise that its going to be hard for you to get it back but that you are willing to go to the effort just to **** him over. Was it through these forums? If so, maybe there is something that can be done????
