  1. It sounds like he's got the message guys. He's probably just an upbeat guy. Try hitting a wet skid pan sometime Ant. It will teach you a lot better control under these sorts of conditions. I think sometimes it's more a matter of getting a better feel for what the car will do as well as feel how much grip you have rather than just a blanket 'slow down' if you know what I mean.
  2. Well thanks for a great dinner guys. Had 29 people turn up in the end. Good night.
  3. I personally have 2 different shades of white on my car thanks to the job done by a very reputable panel shop. I've seen it on other white cars too. It wouldn't have happened if Louie painted it, I can guarantee you that.
  4. They are K6A
  5. I think the point here has been missed. Sure you can do it cheaper yourself but there is no way the job you do will be anywhere near the quality of Louies. What you get with him is genuine top quality work at a good price. Comparing Louie to a home job is an insult to him. As for: It's aggressive and uncalled for. Keep it to yourself or warnings will be handed out.
  6. I've got the G4 front brake kit on and on rear fresh rebuilt rear calipers with new bendix ultimate pads and new DBA 4000 rotors. I've got an annoying squeak that goes with the road speed. I can make it go away by braking, actually I only have to very very lightly touch the brakes so they are almost not slowing me down at all, and the sqeak dissappears. It sounds like it's coming from the back but I'm not sure. I jacked the car up and moved the wheels around but couldn't hear it squeaking then. What should I be checking? Cheers.
  7. Oh. Well I was right about one thing - people are talking about two differnent things. Too bad I was talking about the wrong thing. Nothing to see here. Move along please.
  8. Fo sho!
  9. People seem to be talking about two different things. You say rod ends which makes me think of tie rod ends but you pictured caster rods Troy. Which is it? Duncan just snapped his second stock caster rod under brakes. Maybe the cheap chinese would be better. I've got the JJ ones. When I asked they said they have cheaper ones but the main difference was that the ones I got have dust covers. I've only done a couple of thousand kays on them though and one track day. Hit plenty of ripple strips though.
  10. I've got the Just Jap G4 ones on my car and am very happy with the much better pedal feel. The street pads weren't much chop on the track but they stopped great on the first lap. I'll be trying the race pads next time out. This obviously doesn't matter to you for street use. I got the 330mm rotors even though I wanted the 355mm ones cos I wanted to use 17" rims. Even so, I have less than 2mm clearance although other 17" rims wont be so close I'm sure.
  11. Standard flywheel can be machined if it's a GTT. It's the R34 GTR flywheels that are dual mass.
  12. Louie from Xclusive Colours has contacted us to let us know that he has finally settled into his new shop. He has been a good supporter of the Club and for that matter of the members of the forums too really. Louie does absolutely top quality work with many autosalon winners to his name and yet for some reason is actually quite cheap. He can also do all insurance work and will work closely with you to make sure you get the best outcome from the insurance companies as possible. On top of all this he is a really nice guy as well and has had mucho bad luck with business partners and landlords in the past. He has now signed an 8 year lease so he can finally settle down and do what he does best, paint cars. His new address is 12 Cumberland Hwy, Smithfield and phone number 9756 6797. We are just working on some sort of deal that can be offered, something like a full body kit painted for $X or maybe front bar and bonnet for $Y to get rid of stone chips. We will get back to you shortly about this, feel free to suggest something. If you're worried about colour matching don't be, I used to work in this industry and Louie is the best colour matcher I have ever seen. There is no disclaimer to this thread. I am not getting anything out of this and neither is the club. If you go to him for some work, make sure you tell Louie you found him here. Cheers.
  13. I know that Hills Motorsport do this sort of thing but no idea on pricing. Ring to check.
  14. Oh well, everyone will figure it out I guess. The last one we had there was on a saturday night and we had about 30 people so I guess everyone found a spot.
  15. There is a massive council car park right across the road from the cop shop. Always get a spot in there.
  16. I used a giant pa speaker in my old car for an in car stereo. It was huge.
  17. You are uber lazy. Pm coming.
  18. I've definitely seen and heard Sydneykid say that GTR's should be slightly higher at the front than the back for best performance. You might be on to something there djr.
  19. Well I've just gone down and paid the deposit. Could those few who are still to pay please do so.
  20. To be fair they are older than the RE55's but noticeably not as good. How do I tell which compound? There's a lot written on the side of the tyre. More than I've ever seen/noticed before actually.
  21. Not really relevant to the thread but I spotted you yesterday or the day before I think. I overtook you on my bike. I remember the plates now I see them in your avatar. Car looking nice and clean.
  22. Please do.
  23. Aaaaaaaand that's where the thread ends.
