  1. Do you mean $300 for DS2500's? They don't cost anywhere near that. More like $250 +/- $10 I think.
  2. They have exactly the same compression ratio as R33's.
  3. What pads? I've cracked a few DBA4000's. I've heard but not looked up myself that RDA don't do 310mm replacement rotors for my car but considering trying to space out to 324mm to use R33GTR rotors. Are there any standard sizes a little bigger than that I could maybe space out to? What do R34 GTR's run?
  4. I think most people agree tat they are good for the money. I don't think I got more than 2 track days out of them before they needed replacing and the rotors needed machining. Still, the DS2500's seem to crack rotors. I am wondering if the fact that my engine is cooled so well now lulls me into thinking of that as my overall temperature guide. Has anyone heard of in car brake temp gauges?
  5. Sounds like a great deal mate. I'm thinking that your lighter car would help too. When did you last bleed your brakes. I wouldn't have thought that standard rotors would cause the brakes to fade so quickly although I don't know how good they are from stock. Luckily for me the R34 has great standard brakes. 310mm front rotors for a start.
  6. Weirdest thread of the year, in this section at least.
  7. first, what pressure do you have? Where are you measuring it from exactly? Have you tried replacing the fuel filter in case it's blocked? How did you mount the pump? Could there be some blockage at that end? After checking everywhere for blockages I would suspect the pump before the reg first personally.
  8. Get another couple of doors. Works for me. I've been pulled over thrice. First time cos the copper just wanted to have a look cos he couldn't work out what it was (R34 4 door 3.5 years ago was a rare thing), second time I chirped 2nd gear so fair enough but he didn't book me, third time one decided that accelarating quickly from servo to 110km/h for the freeway was not allowed. No ticket but it does show that they are attracted to the noise. My car is quiet but at redline to a casual observer it just seems to them that you must have been speeding. I mean how often has some random citizen motioned to you to slow down just cos you are doing 50 in 2nd gear? It's all about perceptions.
  9. I'll be back tomorrow night mate. Happy to look after you on tuesday. I've had a good day catching up with Andy, Anna, Noel, Shane, Dan and a few others today then Ed and Dan666 tonight. Thanks for the bbq and the drinks peoples.
  10. Yeah I think it is actually.
  11. Somebody doesn't like mobile phones.
  12. Ah right. Poor Dave.
  13. Not CAMS, AASA.
  14. I'm just here until monday night.
  15. All of the spots are left cos I haven't officially opened the event yet.
  16. Yes. Remove exhaust. Some of your intake piping may need to be removed, eg if you have stock airbox. I have a 1m extension bar and put another 30cm on the end of that, put uni joint on front with socket. Go back near the rear of your box and feed the contraption up to the top of the bell housing. Get your chinese friend or gf to put the socket on the bolts for you.
  17. Probably a few weeks cos we haven't finalised the cost, although I could just call it $100 and if it's less we can adjust on the day maybe. At least that would mean first in best dressed and it would confirm how keen people are. I'm sure that once everyone realises how cool this is they will sell out every time we put one on. What do people think?
  18. Well done man. You are a natural.
  19. The cops are no good to you here. I found Famous not to be really on my side with my claim. Again not my fault at all and the woman in that case stood by her admission of guilt. The stat dec may help. Give it a go. I had to get really forceful with Famous to get my way but still got partially ripped off. Also, ring the woman up and, being very nice and polite, tell her you are not happy she is changing her mind. Tell her you will take it to court knowing that you will both lose on costs because of the principle. Hopefully she will think you are a nice guy and do the right thing.
  20. Water pump? I did my water pump and oil pump when I did my timing belt but in the car.
  21. No worries Carlo. Luckily for me I'll be in Brisbane then though. Yeah that's it. I had to lever it off a bit. You remove the inlet and exhaust pipes as well of course.
  22. I've used some Porsche cup second hand slicks and did a little drifting. They were just like other tyres but grippier. You would want shitloads of power to keep your slides going.
  23. Yes that will fit.
