  1. I'm fine.. but I have only been up for 5 minutes.
  2. One reason why the GCG highflow is recommended is because it's a ball bearing highflow rather than the bush bearing that most places do. There are plenty of threads discussing the difference so it doesn't need to be done here but some of us think the ball bearing ones are much better. Also GCG have been doing them for a long while and they have gotten better with practice. There are lots of different turbos out there. The fun is in figuring out which one will suit you and getting out there. Oh and also, with cams a couple of us are making 250+rwkw with less than one bar of boost.
  3. I had mine tuned at Unigroup recently and the car preceding me on the dyno was that blue widebody R32 GTR that pulled something like 790awkw at summernats.
  4. http://auto.howstuffworks.com/car-suspension.htm That will help a bit. The problem with your question was that it was too broad. Once you understand the various parts that make up there suspension you can come back and say 'ok I understand the basics, what effect do heavier sway bars have on a Skyline' or 'how do I make the car grip or drift better' or whatever if you get my drift.
  5. RB30X certainly seems to have a well thought and detailed answer there and I'm wondering if his solution helps out the Malpassi. I used one for a little while but the noises and fluctuations in pressure bothered me so I sold it.
  6. To test the exhaust drop it from the front of the cat and take it for a quick drive. I am wondering if you have a split hose somewhere in the wastegate vacuum line or the one going to the boost controller. My stock actuator held 1 bar for a fair while but struggled above that after a few weeks.
  7. What car? Auto or manual?
  8. No fair, I only put it in neutral and float down the hill. Sorry I missed you Drew. I've actually waved and got a few waves back lately but forgot them all. I'm a space cadet. Training starts Tuesday.
  9. The rule is that you have to come if it's in your back yard and in this case it is. Count him in Jess. >_<
  10. That's a decent length cruise! I think some people may need a refill before making it home. I'm in.
  11. Ah ok. I wonder if overdrive is longer to compensate and reduce fuel consumption. I would interested to see all the r33 auto ratios if anyone has them.
  12. Here ya go. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=103268
  13. Also expect the valve seats to last longer with the lower lift/weaker springs. Long term, the high lift/strong springs pull the valves back into the head slowly. If you don't think you'll have the car for 50-100,000 k's then don't worry.
  14. Ok so some people seem to be getting some power out of the Walbro. The only valid conclusion in this regard then is that you can't reliably expect one to do it for you if you buy it now. I pulled the return line off my fuel rail when the car was on the dyno and at about 240rwkw the return flow had completely stopped. The AFR's had started to lean a little and we stopped the run so we didn't blow the engine. I replaced the pump straight away. So maybe you will get lucky, maybe not. Don't let us stop you taking a punt, just be careful.
  15. I'm with you Jess.
  16. Yeah I love how they build houses near OP and then the people move in there, knowing full well there is a racetrack next door, then they complain about the noise and it gets shut down. It's the same thing with live music in the city. People move in next door to a pub that has been open for 100 years and playing live music for 30 then have the hide to complain about the noise and drunk people. Then crazily the governments place massive restrictions on the pubs and they are forced out. grumble grumble
  17. Haha, well you are the best driver I know so even without soap you would win... oops just knocked another one off...
  18. I heard you can knock out a 1:30 around OPGP in a GTR... hehe ... **runs away quickly**.
  19. If you want to figure which turbo for 300rwkw then look through here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=55845 There are plenty of internally gated turbos that will get you what you want. Have a look here - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...mp;s=&f=146 - for clutches. A lot of us like the Jim Berry ones mentioned in the first sticky. Fuel pump done? Call us when you realise that pump wont get you anywhere near 300rwkw so we can laugh. Stock exhaust manifold and plenum will get you there. Stock rail will too as mentioned. Stock cams will with the right turbo but I personally prefer a smaller turbo and bigger cams. 550cc injectors are all you need. Most of us wouldn't touch an ebay turbo with a barge pole but a few people would. Good luck.
  20. Did you put a lock bar on it? Or just leave it all hanging there? I haven't looked into this yet as I don't mind my HICAS but if you remove the relevant parts don't the wheels need to be locked in place?
  21. What mods? What boost? What fuel?
  22. Also, it's summer. Hotter air gives more chance of detonation.
  23. Cool. It seems to be going into the right hands.
  24. umm 19... I can't remember but I thought it was just 7psi the whole time.
