  1. Champion Joe! Thanks mate.
  2. 5 and a half is massive. I don't know which ones I have. I am making about 260-270rwkw. 8.75:1 compression ratio, highflow turbo.
  3. Is that what you were trying to do. I heard someone yell "you have to hug him too" and then you came flying at me. Lucky I'm big and tough though. Where's my cut?
  4. I am selling this radiator which is about double the thickness of the stocker and made of copper with the standard end tanks. Copper is a better conducter of heat than aluminium. It still has the auto piping so would be a great upgrade for an auto equiped Skyline but you can just ignore this if you have a manual. It works very well but I am putting out a fair amount of power now and like going to the track so needed something more. No damage at all. Cost me heaps. Selling for $250. Fits R33 GTST and GTR as well as R34 GTT. I'm in southern Sydney.
  5. I really want to know what my NEO RB25 piston weighs but I'll settle for a normal RB25. Talking about stock. My Wiseco's weigh 406g. Please feel free to post weights of other pistons forged, stock whatever for comparisons sake.
  6. I just found out that they now make 86.5mm pistons http://www.wiseco.com/PDFs/Catalogs/SC06_Nissan.pdf
  7. Why did you rebuild it then?
  8. Yeah I was going to go 2 thou but only went 2.5 because I'm thinking about putting some nos into it later down the track. All the wisecos have teflon coated skirts now (I can think of a few girls who could make use of this) which takes up about 0.5 thou on top of the piston itself. I do get a little slap on cold mornings but it doesn't last long. Wiseco's have the longest skirts of any RB25 forgies that I know of though which means they will stay more square in the bore and probably keep the bore itself square for longer. My engine had about 100,000 k's on it when I rebuilt it and the stock pistons had made the bores oval. I went to 87mm (40 thou over) because Wiseco (and most other manufactures) don't make 86.5 which sux because you can only bore it out twice before you need to sleeve it instead of 4 times when you have half sizes available.
  9. Silver 4 door with big chromies and no wing? I've seen you a few times since the aborted southern cruise. That's Brad - blk180 I spotted a few people recently. SchmickGTR in a very clean and nice looking R32 GTR. Also Dominic I think in the sort of aqua coloured R34 GTR with ASTYLE plates. That car is ridiculously low. Got a return wave from a black R33 GTST in Burwood today too. All the others I waved to snobed me. Stoopid R33GTST's. He's a Bijon Frieze/Maltese. Can't you tell the difference? Sheesh!!!! :D Also spotted DRFTD32 just before you got there. Oh noes. All the GTT's are catching up and overtaking me. Time for a turbo upgrade methinks. That's Stan - satanic.
  10. You can be my 2nd navigator if you want. I've got 4 doors...
  11. From memory my wisecos are set at two and half thou.
  12. I would be doing that first high rev on a dyno for safety sake. I'm at 7500. Maybe I should raise it. I think my power would drop off though. Turbo out of puff I think.
  13. If you adjust them that way yes.
  14. eleventy psi I would guess.
  15. I think the stock thermostat is 81 degrees.
  16. I think there is one important fact missing from this thread. You want power? Well guess what, it comes with an increase in the harshness of the ride. Proof is in the clutch that can handle 300rwkw in a manual. We are not talking about a smooth stock like thing here. Of course the changes are harsh at high revs. They are supposed to be. You can't slip and slide into the next gear when running this sort of power. This is also how you go fast. Change gears as quickly as possible. The concept of a shopping trolley with over 300rwkw is not realistic. It was necessary so they could run a shopping trolley style auto. That style can't handle massive power. With the upgrade to the VB you don't need it at all. If you are at light throttle there is no inertia to snap your neck. You might hear it banging away a bit but you also get that with mechanical diffs and bitey clutches sometimes.
  17. I thought it was well known that there was gains to be had from an exhaust cam gear on R33's stock cams, aftermarket ecu or not. You retard it up to 4 degrees. Generally cam gears can be used to change the characteristics of the power. Ie you can swap some top end for earlier boosting and more mid range power. It's up to you, the tuner and the gains/losses involved whether this is worthwhile for you. I have 260 odd rwkw and I think I would be happy with another 100rwkw but then again I said that about 250rwkw when I was at 190. As for specs, they all do the same thing. Get a cheap one I say.
  18. I just did this job. Sucked.
  19. That's what he's saying; that it's NOT impressive. I think...
  20. It had a date with a runaway prop driven plane.
  21. Yup so you are a member already. Smoky you can come with me.

  24. And it's TIG welding that is for Aluminium in case you are interested. Greg at Autosport Engineering in Kirrawee did some for me the other day. I know Mark at Hills Motorsports in Castle Hill does it too.
