Yes it's not recommended to use stock shocks with lowering springs. If nothing else the shock will have a greatly reduced life. You could do it but expect to be up for some new shocks in 6-12 months. I've some lowering springs lying around at home if you want them, in sydney.

Hmm, I'm only revving to 7500 atm. The engine builder said it would be happy at 8000 but my power drops off a little after 7000 anyway. Maybe once I fix my boost issue it wont.

I did a search of my own posts the other day knowing that I had posted something particular a few days ago and noticed a few of the posts I remembered making were missing from the list. Well I didn't think too much about it and continued on my merry way. Now I just went to a thread which I posted in - and saw the post, yes I did click the post button - this afternoon to see what other posts had been made and my post was not there. What's going on?

It's actually called the Nissan Aero bar. I have the full kit. It's not NISMO. There is also an Altia kit which uses the same front bar but has the giant wang. This is bad, stay away from it. Altia is a separate company from what I understand but not sure how closely related they might be to Nissan. I suspect it's more closely related to the dealers. Well my r34 has one. I expect so for R32.

Have a look at my old dyno sheet here. This was full exahust + boost to 12psi. The bottom line is stock boost. In the top power line you can see the power actually drop below the stock boost line. This is "R&R" however if you look at the corresponding AFR line down the bottom you will see that it actually gets slightly leaner at that point so obviously the Rich is not there but the power drops and it's this that indicates the drop in timing, ie retard.

It is certainly not R&R. Your coil packs are stuffed. Remove them and replace with new Splitfires. This will fix your problems - both of you. The R34 will run 12psi ok on the stock ECU but you will get R&R which by the way in R34's is not rich and retard, it's just retard. All you will notice when this happens is the power seems to fall away at at 5000rpm then it picks up again. What you have described in the first post is misfiring. Taping R34 coils doesn't seem to work.

I spoke to a copper at Cronulla who was a good guy, he listened, understood and told me what to do. Then I spoke to Highway Patrol at Miranda (at the first guys suggestion). The woman there was a bit hard to get through to, seemed to have trouble understanding the concept of freedom of association but I kept at her and she finally got it and relaxed a little. Niether of them thought that our visitors from Friday handled themselves particularly well but they did explain some of their actions which was helpful. So all in all, message appears to have been received; as long as we tell them in advance who we are, where we are going and what time the worst they will do is come and say hello.

That's enough now. They have been kicked enough and that was just excessive.

I've spoken with the constabulary and we should be able to do this again but this time without the molestation.
