Once the car has been complied in Australia (has the pink plate) it's just like any other car except insurance costs more. And cops like you less... All normal rules apply make sure you transfer the ownership within 2 weeks and if buying privately I like to get the seller to sign a piece of paper stating the time and date of purchase just so preivous fines won't make their way to you after the sale

I know mines not connected as I have an aftermarket du pipe and the heatshield wouldnt fit It hasn't caused any problems But I would be interested to know what it's grounding

I love too know what hapenes to my old r32 and r33 I wish I kept the phone nu Beers of the guys that bought them. Especially the r32 as the engine was blown and the guy was going to Rip it out and chuck in an RB25 but still using the manifold and upgraded turbo. that was just over a year ago

I went to supercheap auto today to get some oil and an oil filter for my R32 gtst The salesman said something that made me walk straight out I've only changed the oil myself once before as I've only had the car 6 months and it was changed the day before I bought it I couldnt remember what oil filter I needed so I asked the salesman longstory short he said I only have the r33 and GTR r32 listed but that's because here in Australia we got our own special edition non import RWD R32 GTR! WTF? He then proceeded to suggest I use nulon brand oil in the car cause he uses in in his turbo falcon. I said cool thanks for your help and left the store what a douche

It shields heat... Not hugely important but if your running a inboxed POD filter you would be getting alotore hot air sucked in from the engine bay

I hate to say this but consumer affairs will probably just send you through some form of ombudsman service I did this last year when I had a car accident and justcar insurance decided my turbo wasn't damaged in the accident I paid their authorized repairer to fix it thinking that this would go in mg favor when I took it to fair trading and all up it cost me over 2000 bucks to fix and fair trading only gave me back $400 and it took a year to resolve massive waste of time

That sounds like what he must have been doing no other reason to crank the engine with things disconnected To the OP are you 100% sure everything is connected back up as it should be?

Dude that's absolutely ridiculas. Take it to court The only problem I can see is how you go about proving the car was fine before hand. I know it's abit late now. But if I were you the second I saw him disconnect a single thing I would have asked him to sign something stating he liable for any damage if he didnt tough luck and atleast you can sell your car to another buyer Good luck fighting it I really hope you come out on top

Hey mate I need the left and right side rear interior trim the top part surrounding the rear side windows where the back seat belt goes through I need them in perfect condition How much and where in sydney?

I am 100% sure the cat back from an R32 will not fit a R33 without chopping and rewelding it at a few points the r33 is longer and also the r32 has a rear mounted petrol tank where as the r33 is behind the back seat. You could buy a ceap exhaust off eBay for like $300 which would fit and then the dump pipe would be about $170 your going to end up spending atleast $200 bucks to fit and weld the r32 exhaust with a mechanic. But jf you buy the one that fits the r33 you could install it yourself it's not that hard
