  1. Call Nuwan. He is based in Bayswater. He should have it in stock. Tell him Keith sent you. 0422 807 393.
  2. Excellet work Mayo_85!! Lets lock in the date as Sunday the 15th of Jan. (Can't make it on the 22nd). The proposed route sounds fine. Perhaps we can go inland via some twistys on the way back to Geelong from Lorne (the curcuit outside Lorne involving Erskine Falls Rd up to Benwerrin and back down to Lorne looks good, (at least on Google Maps!). Let us know how you go during your practice run.
  3. Hi guys and hope you all had an awesome time during the break. If you are all back at work, what better way to escape that to look forard to our first V35 cruise of 2012... At this stage, the details are: Date: Either Sat 14 Jan or Sun 15 Jan Cruise Meet location: TBC - Depends on Cruise destination Cruise times: 8:30am arrival. 9:00am departure. Proposed cruise route details: TBD - Mt Donna Buang or perhaps a Great Ocean Road cruise (if Mayo 85 gets us the route details :-) It would be good to see the guys who came for the last V35 cruise in December as well as those that couldn't make it (come on Melbourne V35s, I know there are more of you guys out there :-). Look forward to hearing from you all!
  4. No worries guys, Mayo_85, time to plan us a GOR cruise route. In the meantime, attached are some pics of the meet up last week Four V35 coupes. Spot the difference time!
  5. Apparently Nissan have just released a 55th anniversary edition for the V36 coupe. Red interior leather. http://www2.nissan.co.jp/SKYLINE/customize_55th.html Something to perhaps look out for in the auctions in 3 years time when their 'Shaken' is up. Before this, I think there was a limited edition red interior but only for V36 sedans.
  6. Hope you guys had a good time today and got back safely! Thanks for turning up! Cruise up the Reefton Spur was great and traffic free, which made up for the Black Spur safety car stretch. Hope to keep the momentum going with another meet in the new year. Have a merry Christmas guys!
  7. Thanks Dreadnought! The Z meet is at the Garage Cafe in Carlton at 7pm tomorrow (Thursday 15 Dec). See you there if you decide to come along.
  8. Guys, The latest update to the weather report shows that Saturday will be rain free. Cars attending so far: 1) Thinktea 2) Interfooler 3) Mayo_85 4) Gkzlah 5) Dreadnought I will be meeting up with some of the z-club members tomorrow night and unless you have any objections, I will extend the invitation for any Zs or R35s to join us if they are keen. Other Melbourne V35 owners reading this, put your name down and join us for some fun on Sat morning!
  9. Cool! Thanks Mayo_85 Gkzlah, if you can make it on Sat 17th, we will have five cars. Weather report shows it being cloudy with chance of rain in the arvo so I reckon we should make an early start. Updated details below: Date: Sat 17 Dec Cruise Meet location: McDonalds - Corner of Springvale Road and Whitehorse Road Cruise times: 8:30am arrival. 9:00am departure. (Mayo_85, hopefully not too early for you? Traffic will start to build up if we leave too late). Proposed cruise route details: The Black Spur! http://maps.google.com.au/maps?f=d&source=s_d&saddr=Whitehorse+Road,+Nunawading,+Victoria&daddr=-37.8167,145.225697+to:Narbethong,+Victoria&geocode=FfXvvv0djjWnCCkRFratqkDWajECSuD5lbhFmw%3B%3BFYjSwv0dXouuCCkFOyqQwCUoazFwgaAwpHkFBA&abauth=42deb3ce:UlQnFAjqUMdPsAYtb1ElT71sFRM&aq=0&vps=2&ei=stDlTpq8A8qhmQXhqtjWDA&jsv=385a&sll=-37.784554,145.242004&sspn=0.09646,0.2108&vpsrc=6&hl=en&mra=dpe&mrsp=1&sz=13&via=1&num=10
  10. Guys, Thanks for all your responses. Looks like Sat 17th is looking to be the better date. Hopefully we will get a few more oks in the next couple of days. Pls pass on the word to any fellow V35 owners that you know. BTW, I've noted that GTCC is also organising a cruise to Mt Donna Buang on the following Sun 18th. (See the Vic Events section). Haven't been to a GTCC cruise before but I understand that it is for all car types. If our V35 numbers are, say below five, one alternative is to tag along with them to make up the cruise numbers while still exchanging notes on our V35s. Or I'm equally happy if we do our own V35 meet on Saturday. Any thoughts? Interfooler/Dreadnought - Can you do the 18th as a alternative? Cheers!
  11. Hello guys, 8igSky and I joined the Z-Club for their annual X-mas cruise last Sunday up to Mt Macedon and it was a blast. Total of 14 Zs, 2 V35s and 2 R35 GT-Rs were roaring up the Calder Freeway! Seeing as the end of the year is coming and the weather is getting better, can't help but think that its time for the Vs in our midst to meet up for a chat and a cruise. At this stage, the details are: Date: Either Sat 17 Dec or Sun 18 Dec Cruise Meet location: TBC - Depends on Cruise destination Cruise times: 10am arrival. 10:30am departure. Proposed cruise route details: TBC. Either Mt Dandy, the Spurs or Mt Donna Buang or perhaps all of the above!. PLEASE PM ME WITH ANY OTHER RECOMMENDATIONS. Let me know if you guys are keen Thanks!
  12. I just had my tyres changed and as part of the process, I considered getting them from tire-rack.com in the US. I was targetting the Hankook Ventus V12 and was quoted $1,700 locally and $1,100 from the US (inclusive of delivery and taxes), so the difference is substantial if you are on a budget. Of course, a certain amout of patience is required for the delivery if you go the overseas route. While I did consider the Nangkang S2 and the Federals 595s, I ended up getting a slightly lower spec Hankook (s1 Evos) locally from Donnellans near Box Hill for $1,500 fitted, balanced and aligned. Very happy with them so far. Btw, they were 225/40/19s for the fronts and 245/40/19s for the rears (which is stock for the OEM 19s, but very hard to get in a matching pair locally).
  13. I'm in as well.
  14. Haha...Glad you finally changed those cheap indonesian tyres! Good price on the RE0050As as well! Those were not going for less than $500 so I opted for the Hankook S1 evos instead.
  15. I'm in the third house from the top of the hill on the same side you are on. Feel free to pop over if you have a minute. Quite keen to check out the interior of a M35..
  16. Spotted M35WGN several times parked kerbside a couple of doors down my place in Ringwood.
  17. Sorry, would love to but can't do Saturday (have to take the family to the beach). As for location on Sunday, will probably be Warrandyte - Christmas Hills - either Toolangi Spur or Black Spur. At this stage, at least 2 members of the Z club are keen as well.
  18. Anyone keen on some spirited driving this coming Sunday morning ( 6 Nov)? Just got new tyres fitted (Hankook S1 Evos) and keen to test them out.
  19. Gents, I will be tackling the Reefton Spur (168 bends in 18km!) followed by the Black Spur this Sunday (2 October 2011) in my new V35 coupe for some 'spirited' driving. Aiming to start around 6:30 to 7am to avoid the traffic. More than happy for any V35s to come along for the drive. ChrisB, NissanRules, Alphamox? Any takers? We haven't had a cruise in ages!
  20. Manny, Nuwan's minor service is around $100-$150. Give him a buzz. Its not just the servicing but also the advice he can give you about what mods you might be interested in or whether your km's are genuine etc...
  21. Manny, Its not quite in the South East but if you don't mind heading to Bayswater, I highly recommend Nuwan from Import Revolutions (0422807393). He has complied over 50 V35s and knows them like the back of his hand. His prices are also reasonable and will definately be lower than a Nissan dealership. I've used him before for my old 2001 V35 sedan and am currently using him for my new 2006 V35 coupe.
  22. If it is an umbrella stroller, then this shouldn't be a problem. Prams however are a different story... I have a full sized pram and it just about fits in mine...you have to angle it slighly when it goes in...(i.e.you cannot slide it in sideways but diagonally). Because mine just about fits, best if you try before you buy any prams. My baby seat fits forward facing, but for a newborn, you will need that rearward facing. Again, try before you buy but car seats should be less of an issue than prams. Good luck and congrats on the baby!
  23. Mine was in Melbourne and it took a week and a half to get approved by Canberra. Now waiting for the plate/sticker from Niddrie.
  24. Ok thanks..that's what I thought...don't know about the Brembo brakes though because I though they phased those out after Series 1. Oh well, will know in 2 weeks time when the car arrives.
  25. Hi there, Just got myself a 2006 V35 (Series 3) direct from Japan. Its currently en-route. The car comes with OEM 19inch RAYS wheels. Is this an indicator as to whether it also comes with LSD?
