I've had my car to 270km on a track straight, at about 6000rpm in 5th gear with it still pulling, but ran out of track, but i'm guessing my speedo would be a fair way out at that speed, so it may of only been 240-250? i have a gps now so could use that I recon my car could crack or come very close to 300km/h (on my speedo)

i'd love to see if i could get my car to 300ks/h in safe conditions, but you are all up north

Go to whitelines website, ( www.whiteline.com.au ) has lots of info... shocks... depends what you wanna spend, what you wanna do - once again check whitelines stuff out (they use bilsten shocks afaik) camber at the rear is a bit much i think, you would definatly want it same both sides, generally -1 on the rears is the go and about -1.5 on the front (this is on GTR, assuming same for gts) its on the whiteline page go to "your car" and pick your car

funky: true you do need to restart apache if you make changes to httpd.conf, but if he needs to enable mod_rewrite he'll need to restart it anyway and your right it does look like it co-hosts saunsw.com, but don't see how that makes much difference, cept when he restarts apache, both will go down for a few moments

Roy: yeah your probably right, i can't drive for sht so i doubt anything bad will happen, but just paranoid i guess incase i get lucky or unlucky... Gojira: what do you mean oil supply up to track work?

i think maintenance and mods get mixed up sometimes... keeping a stock R33 GTR maintained wouldn't be so bad, a little bit thirsty on the fuel, 17" tyres aren't too bad, heavy duty single plate clutch would be fine... as ben said lots of parts are readily avialable... its more when you start moding, and have to do maintence as part of that ie my car is a bit lower than normal, so i have a bit too much negative camber, so i need to put a camber kit on etc... my wheels are 18" so tyres are that bit more expensive... its running a bit more boost so its a little bit thirstier.. etc.... but no matter how good you think the car is, always budget a bit for things to go wrong, its a 8-9 year old performance vehicle, people don't buy GTR's to drive them like camerys, they buy to drive them how they are built to be driven....

Orex: definatly your clutch is slipping, in higher gears, 3rd, 4th etc... you will find it just revs up without going anywhere... time for a new clutch, quick
