I just typed out a whole reply, but it ended up just describing my system - not what you asked, let me try crossover - this is something that sits between the speaker and amp to filters out frequencies that the speaker should be playing, ie Low pass for a sub, High pass for splits etc... Component can mean different things - but generally instead of splits = 2 speakers, component = 3 speakrs - bass, midbass, tweeter... Monoblock is a powerful amp that will take a stereo signal and output a powerful mono signal (used for a sub) Umm what else... not sure - definatly sound deaden your doors (or get it done) i have focal splits up front, high end clarion HU, crap sony rears, low end alpine amp 40wrms x 4 (to be upgraded), and no sub i want a JL W3V2 10" sealed ( < 1cu ft small box ) and amp to power it to finish off my system

My gf has a N/A R33 auto, it has the reverse beeping crap when she is in reverse (is this normal for all you auto owners?) its loud, annoying and gay.. anyone know which wire i can cut to shut it up?

Decent Alarms have a 'backup battery' feature, means they have thier own battery if they are disconnected from the battery and go of instantly... alarm is worthless without one... If they disconnect the battery, then they can't start it anyway?

mine had the dimmer, but no wires hooked up to it who needs one anyway

Which JL sub is it, W3V2? What size is the box?

I had a noise coming from the front drivers side of mine, i could make it happen without driving by standing on the door ledge and jumping, then to make it happen again i had to life the car up from the door arch, then stand on it again, then lift etc... it ended up being a bolt (i think that held my swaybar in) .. we tightened tht about 1/2 a turn and boom noise gone...

i think it comes down to opinion, i haven't done any tests, but from what i've read/heard optimax is 95ron engineered up to 98ron, and only has a lifespan at 98ron for 2 weeks where as synergy and ultimate are manufactured as 98ron, and last longer than 2weeks.. but as long as your car doesn't ping, shouldn't make a differnece

Yeah i'd put the officer on the stand, ask her what her story is, hope she says 'i speed up to 130, then braked to turn down the street he turned down' then you repeat what she said and say are you sure? then you explain how that wouldn't be possible in a VT Commondore etc... 'so are you still sure thats what happened, did you have a magic wand that helped you stop quicker too?'

gatty: where did he say he was hosting it from an ADSL account? i wouldn't jump to insulting him by guessing he is doing it on an ADSL account i think someone else brough up the ADSL account

1500/512 ? sounds like someone is making up ADSL plans... telstra don't offer those line speeds, they offer 1500/256 or 512/512... other providers might offer you different, but never heard of one offering 1500/512 1500/512 unlimted business grade with telstra for 180bucks? never heard / seen it.. telstra are out to rip you off, no way they would offer a plan like that... as for the hosting, good luck with it, but if you're trying to make money, i don't think you have much chance..., but good luck anyway

Even tho those guys were ****heads, today tonight warped the truth something shocking!! focusing on all the bad stuff "people get killed and seriously hurt" then they show a video clip of someone doing a donut with no injuries/deaths happening... umm hello? its dangerous, but everyone there is there because they choose to be, if they are dumb enough to stand that close to the car then its thier choice... people run with knifes as well, maybe they should do a report on that

I think all insurance companies say that - if your car is unroadworthy/illeall then they don't have to cover it...

its funny how in traffic and and a 1/4 mile pass give the same temperature to an engine ... farken traffic!!

also i'm guessing most of us here could get 20-30rwkw extra if our engines were pinging... if its pinging probbaly means it needs detuning a little which might drop you back a few kw, plus dyno may be out etc... as everyone else has said

Sounds like a good idea, but my novated lease only gave me BP and Mobil cards... i use mobil 95% of the time anyways, so i can give up one or the other but not both... then again you will probably find that some of the smaller shows buy thier fuel from bp/mobil etc.. and brand it / do what with it as thier own so we'd still be buying ther fule just not marked as 'bp' or 'mobil'
