  1. Check the SDU forums, i saw a OS Triple plate on there going for 1300
  2. Why do you care what they think? Don't let it get to you, as it's already been said, they are just jealous or uneducated most of the time...
  3. Stacey: How does it drive? Very on/off i'm guessing at 4800lbs?
  4. no need for premium as mentioned... premium is generally only needed on engines that are put under a bit of stress, to stop the fuel combusting before the spark plug ignites it... your N/A shouldn't have this problem..
  5. What brand NRB? How does it drive in traffic or when having to slip the clutch a bit to park etc...? How much/where from? thanks
  6. anyone got any picutures?
  7. very nice, gotta be happy with that... glad you didn't resort to using NOS
  8. Push type will always feel heavier meshmesh - 2k fitted - brand new? thats not bad - is that a special price? where did you get the actual clutch from?
  9. No popups on this site, its either another site in the background, or spyware on your computer install the google toolbar to block popups, and/or run a spyware scanner like: http://www.spywareinfo.com/xscan.php
  10. I've been warned away from HKS.... *shrugs* Most of the used twin plates i've enquired about don't have much left on them, no point spending 200-300 bucks getting it put in, only to have to have it taken out, rebuilt and put back in in a few months... I think i may have to bite the bullet and get a new twin Singles can be rebuilt too btw...
  11. I have an single plate exceedy heavy duty clutch in my car at the moment... i have around 270rwkw, nothing huge... but over the next year or two i will probably end up upgrading turbos/fuel system etc.. Nismo/OS Giken/ORC twin plates are going to cost me over 2k.... the clutch i have at the moment i've done about 10,000ks on, i think it had another 10,000 done by the owner before it... but its never been that good, shudders quite a bit, esspecially now its worn Can anyone suggest any single plate option? Or should i just bite the bullet and get a twin plate? 2100 delivered nismo twin plate from nengun.........
  12. Depends on the state... in victoria, buying a second hand car for 30k you would pay 4% of what you 'paid' for the car.. plus a transfer fee of about 25 dollars i think
  13. How much did you pay for the clutch? Here's another email from Brent... (nengun) Regards the ORC clutch. In order to change from push to pull you have to add converter kit and it is around 24,000 yen ( comes with a total of 11 parts ) Total ORC twin plate 114,000 Yen for the clutch 24,000 Yen for the clutch kit + 35,400 for shipping Total 173,000 Yen @ ANZ 74.95 bank rate $2308.20 AUS The Nismo G - Max twin plate pull clutch is 132,500 + 25,000 Yen for shipping 157,500 Yen $2101.40 AUS delivered
  14. Ahh ok... and your happy with it? It only rattles when clutch is pushed down to floor (ie disengaged) right? I'd like to go for a ride in your car/hear/feel the clutch if your willing mesh
  15. meshmesh - i'm confused... .. so you thought you were getting a OS Giken, but you actually got a ORC?
  16. i may end up ordering one before that, mines at the end of its life... Somone tried to tel me a twin plate wll get wrecked if you launch to many 6000rpm launches... i would think it would be stronger than a single heavy duty?
  17. L5 or L7 ? did it come out of a skyline boot? if so what model/where did it sit? What RMS rating?
  18. Size ? 12" 10" ? Size/shape of box? Reason for sale?
  19. meshmesh ahhh ok, so we still don't know how the ORC goes... 1800 delivered from nengun... someone bite the bullet and get one This is what Brent (from nengun) said to me about the ORC "700PS. I took a GTR34 for a drive today and felt very smooth. There is noise once you push the clutch in. " as in can hold 700ps....
  20. I think its the way the damper is done, solid or sprung, but generally if you get sprung then the bite isn't quite as hard since the springs take a bit of the impact
  21. As for the NA skyline - your fine to run normal unleaded, your not shoving 15 pounds of pressured air into your engine, with fuel to match, its not going to detonate before the spark goes off. Would be wasting your money on premium
  22. Perth have it so easy with speeding fines... in melbourne your screwed for even thinking of speeding... I don't think doing 100km/h over the speed limit will put you in gaol, you would have to go to court and get a huge arse fine/good behavour bond etc... etc.. license would be gone for a fair while... someone go try it and let me know
  23. meshmesh - i thought you were getting a OS twin plate? what happened to that? WHere did you get your ORC from?
  24. 'normal' fuel if you drive hard will detonate your engine - just ask MSPEC it will ping first... definatly not recommended
