  7. Are you sure bens was in shootout mode? He never uses shootout to tune cars... why would he have used it for yours? My 270 is definatly not in shootout mode.. on another note.. i was playing with my boost on the way home. it comes on around 3000rpm, and seems to be on full boost by about 4000rpm... this was playing with 4th and 5th since i was kind of in traffic... i'm pretty sure its the same through most of my gears, boost starts to come in around 3k and is pretty much on fully by 4k

  9. mesh - yeah i can guess that yours would pull alot harder than mine now on boost... i'm sure im on boost aorund 3000-3500 ... you'll have to come check it out, maybe i'm imaginging it ?
  10. meshmesh - nice, didn't realise you were doing this, now i'd have no hope against you what made you go to ice instead of back to racepace if you don't mind me asking? i'm looking for turbo replacements .. not for the imediate future, but in the next year or two (or if the turbos go) So i will be following your progess.. i'm after similar to you and Merli - more response/useable power rather than dyno/drag power.... On another note i find my boost coming on (with my stock turbos etc..) at around 3000rpm not 4500-5000... and as you know i'm running a similar setup to your 270rwkw setup (no powerfc tho)... i'm also not sure about the falloff at 8000rpm i can't notice that too much... maybe we can meet up and get a ride in each others cars to see the differences..?

  12. also be careful of customs here in aus .. if it is worth over a certain amount , when coming through customs they will sting you with tax....

  14. Its your headunit that controls it. Your headunit isn't telling it to go down(removing the power from the line) when you put on a CD... generally crap cd players do this the crap pioneer cd player i had with my car when i got it did that - kept the antena up even when listening to CD's... i replaced it with a good clarion one and it now goes down when playing CD's..

  20. Emre - thanks heaps for your help Yeah exactly right as i'm driving up the hills and/or keeping rpm up aorund 5-6k i can see the oil temp rise... I do have fully synth castrol formula R 10w60 in... I guess i should see how often it happens, if i find myself in that top 3/4 braket often i guess i will have to invest in an oil cooler... if its only rarley i will just ease off when i see it hitting that top 3/4 bracket. if that is the blow-off return line then where should it be coming from / going to?

  23. license restirctions? yeah taking the corners quick can help you keep up quite well MSPEC kept up with us GTR's at the front in his GTST, mainly due to him taking corners at very high speeds

  25. that sucks man - thats just one of many reasons why i dont like parking my car in any public car parks etc... from your avatar it looks like your car is black - did you have a nissan boot key lock badge thing that was black and a clear coat over it like this one: http://gtr.ferni.net/photos/misc/nissanbootlock.jpg If so i sent that one back to Mark Gibbsons (?) panel house in queensland because it was the wrong one... he charged me $45 + $8 shipping for it, you can replace it yourself by taking the locking barrel out of your existing one and putting it in the new one...
