Great! Have sent you a pm.

Still got the plenum and runners? And are you able to post to Perth?

Thanks I managed to find an earth bracket to connect it to but it was pretty deformed. Bent it back with a pair of pliers

So today out of boredom I removed the turbo heat shield from my 34 GTT and I found this cable dangling loosely under there. Does anyone know where it's supposed to go? I'm guessing it's a grounding wire so is it supposed to plug into an opposite end located somewhere along the chassis of the car? Edit: Couldn't get the picture attached the first time.

Cheers for the reply guys. I was wondering how I'm going to stick it back in the correct position. I'm thinking of lining up some string or tape with the tail lights to create a grid and going from there. If not, i'll work something out. I'd be interested in that offer Ricky. Pm sent.

Hey all, when I first picked up my R34 GTT the previous owner had debadged it. Now I'm starting to think that it looks a little plain on the rear so I was thinking of putting the middle Nissan emblem back on. I had a look on eBay for some Nissan emblems but I've noticed that they all come in different sizes so I was wondering if anyone could tell me the dimensions or size of the standard R34 Nissan emblem so I know what to look for? It's the one that sits in the middle of the bootlid. Thanks

Couple Of Questions About My R34 Gtt
Bu11et replied to Bu11et's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Cheers for the quick reply guys. I've always had a feeling that my car was a little low on cup holders. -
Bought my car 6 months ago and these little things have never bothered me. It's just that my curiosity has finally caught up. Car is a manual R34 GTT coupe if that helps. On the rear of the center console, just under the ashtray there's something missing. What's supposed to be there? I tried searching on the forums but I had no idea where to start... To me it's just a missing box thingy. And in the boot on the right there is a brown connection unplugged. Is that supposed to be somewhere? I'm guessing it has something to do with HICAS? Thanks in advance.

Ahahaha, I recently found myself sitting in a lecture pondering over one of these

I keep seeing this R34 GTR in the Curtin staff parking. Made a quick snap as I walked past today. Owner must be a pretty awesome lecturer/professor or something. Also spotted a gunmetal grey R32 parked opposite me in the Curtin student area at around 4pm. Paint job looked pretty mint!

Spotted a white R34 with carbon fibre hood and boot lid by the Oats Street train station at around 5pm yesterday.

I've owned my R34GTT with red P's for the last 4 months now and I'm loving every second of it. In the morning I wake up just to drive it to uni. During class, I watch the clock until I can drive it home. It's a great car with plenty of power for a P plater. The NEO head gives pretty good fuel economy too, so young people like us can afford to fuel it. There's also enough room in the back to fit a couple more mates in every now and then, cause once you get a Skyline, everyone wants to ride with you. I've got a mate with an '06 WRX STI and I can't really tell the difference between the two. The thing that stands out the most is that my car is limited to 180kph lol. Not to mention his was double the price. Personally I've never drifted or smoked it up in my R34. Before I purchased it, like you, I had the intention to. But once I owned it I didn't want to damage my car because it had become my pride and joy. Not just a powerful toy to thrash about. Sometimes I think that it would have been better for me to get an AWD for my track racing. But since the laws are a little more lenient here in WA, I'm not as confident on how an N/A would go. If you want a car to go all out on the track then have you considered a Honda Type R or VTEC? With P plate restrictions I reckon you're quite limited in terms of N/A performance cars. In my previous VTEC power to weight felt great and there was a nice little kick when the cams switched over. Shame that most of them only come in FWD besides the S2000 (and NSX but that's a little more costly of course!).

Hi Chloe Did you happen to be car shopping last month? Cause I was trying to sell my little Civic and I had a girl named Chloe enquire about it. Just a thought that popped back into my head when I saw your name and your recently purchased Skyline lol. Oh well, weather that was you or not... Nice 34 Chloe and welcome to SAU!

Cause the laws here in WA are much more lenient As far as I know there are no restrictions on the type of car a L or P plater can drive.

Cheers guys! I just drove a couple of k's around the block since it's currently uninsured so I'm playing it safe and not taking any risks. To be honest I actually spent most of the day polishing the entire car. Feeling proud of it lol. And just a quick question. Mine seems to be missing something here between the two seats. What is it supposed to be? Hope it's nothing too important. My best guess is a tray of some sort?

Hey all! My name is Daniel and I've been lurking around the SAU forums since mid January. I've always loved Skylines. Mainly because they're a Japanese icon and having got my 34, I can now officially say that I have owned one of these incredible vehicles during my lifetime. Being only 18, reading all the threads about purchasing a good Skyline have been really helpful to me. Now that I have finally found the right car, I look forwards to seeing other SAU members around meetings and on the roads of Perth. Just from reading some of the threads I can see that this is a really helpful and friendly community. Can't wait to meet you all! Here are some pictures of my fresh R34 GTT that I picked up this morning. As you can see, the cat enjoys it as much as I do. (Sorry if they're a bit big. I'll just post the direct links instead) Front: http://i97.photobuck...1132Blanked.jpg Rear: http://i97.photobuck...1137Blanked.jpg Engine Bay: http://i97.photobuck...60320111139.jpg

Here's my attempt at drawing an RB26. Not quite finished cause i'm uncertain on what the rest of the parts look like . But i'll need more computer power anyway. It's just got a simple block for now.

16L/100Kms seems like a big jump for me. I am currently driving a little 4 cylinder Honda Civic. I can spend the extra money on Premium. I even put in a little bit from time to time. My work is 20km's away from home but the majority of the trip is on a highway cruise. I just don't want to be spending all my income on fuel everyday. I've got my eye on the Skyline cause I know that I'll have the power under my foot when I need it. The civic struggles to go up hills, I have to rev it right up to get over. Having a couple of mates in the car doesn't help. That, along with the fact that the Skyline looks and sounds pretty awesome.

Hey everyone, new guy here with a quick question. I've been wanting to get an R34 GT-T for a while now but i'm a little concerned about it's fuel consumption. Some people have told me that pre '98 Skylines are terrible on economy. But with the later NEO heads I've read some improvements on this. I saw saw a post on these forums mentioning that the NEO can manage 9.4L/100km but i'm not sure if that's accurate. What is the L/100km rating on the NEO? And what is there a major difference between driving on and off boost? Thanks.
