he he. ironic isn't it. peakrpm was telling me about people who have sold their rides as they get their kicks on the track and have no need for a fast street ride. didn't believe him until i started thinking about it too but i couldn't sell my car. na uhh. if you ever decide to get one ben let me know. we can go out and look foolish together. chaos, bruises are my friends. lol

just wondering if anyone goes karting. recently got into the sport and i'm loving it. you can't see me in my helmet but this is me --> PeakRPM has taken me under his wings and teaching me the ins and outs and it's much more technical than i initially thought. who woulda thunk it, me out on a track endangering other lives.

go karts rock. i've just recently got into the whole scene and i'm loving it. have fun guys. oh, and definately go to an outdoor one unless the indoor is massive. generally more overtaking opportunities on an outdoor track as it's wider so it's more fun. and don't worry if it rains, you'll have even more fun.

when i owned the skyline everything, to me, was in kw now that i own the datto, everything is in hp. i've always associated turbos with kw and cubes with hp for some reason. oh, and the yanks love their turbos. don't let anyone fool you. they are into everything and anything over there. car scene is fantastic.

Dundan/and all, I need some help re helmets. I don't know which one to get basically but I do know what I want (kind of). Full face 2 or more intake vents 2 or more exhaust vents (vital) Removable washable lining (not that necessary but it would be good) I haven't decided on my budget yet but I don't want to spend $1k that's for sure. I like the HJC AC-11 found here. The cheekpads are really good and they come in different sizes so you get a perfect fit. I saw an AC-10 at my local bike shop and it was very nice so the 11's must be just that little bit better I guess. Beyond that I don't know what else to consider. The Arai and Shoei seem too expensive. Also, I've noticed that the helmets are cheaper in the US. Is it worth importing? Cheers

howhow82 it's called 'teething problems' and with some cars it's like pulling out wisdom teeth while with others it's a simple floss. you were just unlucky to get stuck with what sounds like a rip off mechanic. keep the car, get a new mechanic (sounds like you already gave him the flick) and ask for advice on the forums. there's always someone that'll help you. sweetr33, are you sure that car has done only 60,000kms?
