  2. i've got the 446i. not much choice in my position as my car is not fuel injected so some of the better alarms are not compatable.
  3. Sorry, I missed that. Yeah, only certain models have the autostart.
  4. I'd talk to David about doing the above as well as an alarm. You'd have a very effective security system. Cheers

  9. Autowatch does. http://www.autowatchonline.com/products/alarms.html I had mine installed at Into Sound in Bondi and am going back for another alarm in the next few weeks. David is a top bloke and always willing to listen to my sh1t and give me advice. They are an authorised Autowatch dealer too so he knows those alrams inside out. 16. now that's not true akira. are you better than them for owning a skyline??? there are other cars on the road and dare i say you will own one of them one day.
  17. Have you spoken to the original club? Maybe they can help you.
  18. i used to get around 350 on optimax. city driving doesn't help much.
  19. well, i do know that they paid out two policies which were under cover note. the story goes these two guys, unrelated, one supra and one skyline took out a cover note each and both wrote their cars off on that day. famous paid out around $50,000 for them. believe it or not, it's up to you. blitz (Nick) from sydney has made a windscreen claim and famous have a preffered company that deals with these claims but were closed on the day. he proceeded to fix his windscreen with another company and when he approached famous they said that's fine, just had to fax them a copy of the invoice and they took care of it. that's about the closest to a claim i know of for sure. i'm not here to try to convince anyone to go with famous or whoever, i just found a very cheap policy for myself and thought i'd pass on the info so that others can benifit from it. i was sceptical at first too btw. it's good to be careful and read their terms and conditions. it might not be the ideal policy for some, but for others it's all they need. Cheers
  20. then don't take out a policy. do you need your hand held?
  21. just a word of advice, don't get too c0cky and confident. it usually bites you in the ass. happy to hear you're enjoying the car.
  22. yes they do but only a certain amount of meters from your house. so you can park it out in the street if you wish. it's not covered say at your mates house after 11pm unatended
  23. yeah i did. it's suppose to be huge aparently but don't know the details. sorry
  24. aybee, there's nothing to worry about. they just don't go through all the crap that other companies do. they basically know what to charge in general using levels of mods and types of cars. i was pretty sceptical at first but now i'm insured with them. /begin rant i think most companies could do something simmilar and charge less but they are all greedy, some more than others. seriously, what the **** warrants such huge differences in price between different companies? can anyone see a standard and compare one to another? i think not. it's an industry where they dictate the price and we have to cop it sweet. there's no set standard, they love it and try to get away with as much as possible and it sucks big time /rant over take the policy, you won't get a better offer. i'd love to hear from someone who's made a claim with them though. anyone???
