anyone go to the summernationals yesterday or today? just got back from todays events and damn it was fun. 95% of the entrants were sub 10 second cars and by the end of the day an 8 second pass seemed relatively slow.
the highlight had to be the top fuelers. unfrickingbelievable! these things are scary fast. best time was a 4.8 @ 309mph by the rocket car. i'd never seen one run up close and the first time they flew past my hands just slapped my ears shut before i knew what had happened. you can feel your balls retreat inside your stomach.
track is run very professionally and looks like everything it was promised to be.
/pokes his head in
i really miss the old days but i seriously do not have the time to read so many posts. and as far as events go, i've been absent from any north shore cruises because my car has been off the road for a long time and when it's on the road i have to take out a loan to quench it's thirst if i cruise north of north.
at the time this post was made the 10% was offered to club members. at this stage i have no idea if they have changed their rules. sorry
torque, yes
tdawg, yes as far as i remember. always best to ring them up guys
bleach, that was my neighbour. i bought the plates off him a while ago and had them on my shitty r33 as charlie says. they haven't been displayed for a year and a half now.
what's everyones take on their presence and the hassle factor so far this summer? are they getting worse, better? and please don't answer me with a 'police are wankers man, they suck'. i don't wanna hear it.
cheers
xbox and ps2 are outdated hardware wise so most pc's are heaps better. there is a PSX console coming out next year and microsoft will release a new console as well. the ps2 will enjoy a 4+ year life but the xbox and gamecube have only been around for 18 months i think and by the time they update them it will only be a 2-3 year lifespan. that sucks for us gamers but it's making the corporations/developers richer so...
