skyz, he fed me some story about black reflectors and silver ones or something, I don't really remember but yeah he did say $1000 bucks for 1 headlight. I still can't believe it. Trust me if I was paying for it I would have paid more attention. btw, it's a '95 GTS25T

Prank, thanks dude. Yeah the funky bonnet vent is there. It's actually getting a respray while the car is in the shop. If you remember, it had a black finish. Will be same colour as car now in a semi-matt finish as it's fibreglass. If they don't use matt, the ripples will show too much. Do you go to BD4's as well? They are the best tune-shop in my books. Well, I might be a bit biased but they are good.

8O Good stuff megs

There you go bro. I deleted my post for the sake of your record.

megs, my killing spree has been put off as I have no license. If I did, I'd have been around to their workshop every second day. The stack. Well, I took a friend in it for the first time and like the immature little p**k that I am, I had to show off. I was doing something around 100 clicks when I rounded a slight corner. It stuck at first but then locked up, slid and into a parked Barina or something. My front right wheel hit his front right. Guys, the funniest thing was on the other side of his car. His left front wheel was flush on the ground. Bent the f**k out of his front end. My guard, lights, rim, suspension and bumper are shot to pieces.

Camshafts and Adj cam timing gears
two40 replied to akira's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
BD4's in Sydney have quoted me $280 for a HKS adj cam gear. Check the for sale section as there is a topic re cams. Apparently you can only get the exhaust shaft as the inlet has variable valve timing. This is for the R33 GTS25T. You get roughly 10rwkw from the exhaust cam swap. You will trade some bottom end response for top end power and you probably should leave this mod untill you are running out of things to do. Every mechanic I've spoken to has told me the same. -
A panel is a panel, paint is paint. They work on many cars and from my numerous visits I've seen, Porche boxters, BMW's, Mercs, WRX's and a host of other cars. They are sending it to Heasmans for the steering which is good.

This place is awsome though, comes highly recomended and the shop is undescribable. It's just that I had a run of bad luck with them. Don't get me wrong everyone, they are good. It's just that in my case they f**ked me around a bit.
-
Suncorp Metway, I called them about a month ago an had a whinge. They in return called the panel shop but that only stirred the pot up if you know what I mean. You know that feeling when you haven't had sex for a while and you get wired up and frustrated. Yeah, well this is worse.

They got a second hand guard as the insurance co told them to but it wasn't the right one as the blinker was higher up??? Anyway, they ended up ordering all new parts so all's well that end's well. Apparently, they can get second hand parts if the car is older than 5 years. Has anyone heard of this? Or are they bulls**ting me?
-
Tell me about it. They've been after a guard for two weeks now. I really gave it to them today. I asked them if they need help to get the guard as they are incompetent. Dude just went quiet on the other end. I also mentioned courtesy car (even though I've got no license) and he froze again. Aaaaargh

As some of you know my car was in an accident. Today I was talking to the guy at Panel One and he said that my headlight cost $1000 brand new. How is this possible? He was talking about some black and silver reflectors or something. I dunno. btw, I don't want to bag them out but they've been really slow fixing my car. Partly due to the fact that I, like a stupid idiot, told them that I had lost my license and partly because they moved shop about a month ago. It's been there since Jan the 3rd. I had a little chat/argument with them today, again. I'm so wired about getting it back again. Should be very soon.

I've been looking at the Porche club too. It is a good example, structure wise, for us to use.
-
No offense meant ryan but I don't think it's aimed at your average teenybopper. Younger ppl would be more into the Hot 4s and FF. But you are right, it's a car/lifestyle mag.
-
for him it's probably spot on.

Speed has a bit of a different angle on the whole car scene which I think is fresh and hip. They don't have [u:9a8aee0b54]just[/u:9a8aee0b54] cars. Yeah, their shots are good but I like the writing style. Kicks a***. Is the second issue out? If not, do you know when. How would you get them on board ryan? Do you have contacts or something?
-
Ha Ha. Try harder ryan. Some girls are easy, but no that easy
-
Bring it on ryan!!! Why would Hot 4's want to sponsor us? Fair enough on the other two. Tell us more dude. Have you guys seen the new mag 'Speed' First issue was cool. Love the writing style those guys have. Makes the others seem like booring grandma mags.
