Yeah right, that was another option we looked at. Aldi have the 500Mbps version of that same one at the moment for $60 worth spending the extra on?

As per topic, I have a friend who has an old netcomm wireless modem/router and is looking to either buy a new wireless modem/router or an extender because his xbox doesn't seem to pick up the signal as well in other parts of the house. Other devices seem to catch in the areas teh xbox can't, so realistically it's the xbox that's the problem, but hoping a stronger signal will help treat the symptoms. application is for streaming mostly, he uses the xbox's as media extenders to his windows 7 MC HTPC. he's been sold a new netcomm modem (N900) but doesnt want to open it untill he gets some ideas. I'm thinking a more powerful modem would be ideal because the N900 doesn't get super reviews for it's range, also a newer model will give him higher speeds than the old netcome modem he has currently. he's not adverse to the extender idea as he gets great range with other devices such as phones and laptops, but as above if one device will give him speed improvements as well might as well do that. Any ideas? Maybe ones with two antenna's or something?

yes they do these things overseas as well but not always as a combined earmuff thing. sometimes it's just a portable radio with headphones, not hearing protection. Best way is to get a pair of black ear muffs (best industrial ones) for around 20-30 bucks and then get a cheap pocket radio with ear bud headphones. slip the ear buds in before you put the ear muffs on and tune in to the radio station that has the commentary.
