I registered my r32 gtr last Friday after being complied and when was taking the sticker of the piece of paper i noticed it said i only have 4 cylinders. I dont know if it was just a typo or what but it means my rego is cheaper at the moment. Anybody els had this happen and what did you do? Thanks Tim.

thanks BWRGTR, i will try the steering wheel when i got some spare time. yer the boost gauge worked before hand, and the car comes onto boost exactly the same as before. does it matter if the computer doesnt know how much boost there is? or does it just read air flow to calculate how much fuel it needs? cheers.

Gday. So i finally pick up my r32 GTR from compliance yesterday afternoon and on the drive home i noticed a few things. the boost gauge was on 0 the hole time, wouldn't budge. they had to remove the pfc and then put back in, is there any vac lines that go there that might not have been put back on?? and secondly my steering wheel was on a tilt when driving straight, its a momo, also had to be removed for compliance. i think this has caused my indicator when turning left to not stay on and only stay on when the wheel is turned slightly. also the hicas light comes on after a few minuets of driving, and i think i remember reading some where that the steering wheel in the wrong place can cause this? I have an rb26 that would suit a rebuild, just seeing if anybody is intrested. The engine is at my mechanics workshop and if somebody shows some intrest i can arrange photos or to come have a look. it came out of a R32 GTR with a build date of 11/93 so it should have the long nose crank, it didnt spin a bearing it blew a turbo and now no3. or 4 cylinder is at about 50psi compresion and is scored relativly badly. i dont have the turbos but have the rest, the block hasnt been opend up so dont know how it looks inside. it had 60k km on the engine when the turbo went. $1800 for everything but can seperate if have enough intrest on most parts. send me a pm or u can text me on 0403764628. so if my vin/chassis numbers are in the system with a defect to there name, when they add onto the numbers for compliance it wont show that it has a defect on it when i go to get rego? Thanks.

Thanks for the advice, i think i might just leave it on and if i cant get a permit to drive it to the compliance work shop i will just have to tow it. Im sure whoever complies it will know what to do about it, i hope.

I just got defected today driving my uncomplied unregisted r32 gtr from the mechanics back to my house on a permit. I had no front bar because it was at the crash repairs getting some cracks fixed, and whilst i was driving it home my front right indicator fell off unknowingly. the officer deamed the car unroadworthy and defected me. the car will be getting complied sometime in the near future maybe 3-6 months. will this defect have to be removed (rectified) before i go to get complied or when its getting complied or after? or is it just nothing to worry about? Thanks.
