  1. Saw that. good price....but way down on power for -5's...but it wasn't exactly seeing much boost. Also, don't know where you got the rb28 info from.
  2. it's on pg 19 towards bottom of the rb26 results
  3. i would like to see the -9 result. There was someone from victoria recently that made 379kw with n1's & e85 on his nur.
  4. All of the above :-) and makes the rb sound angry at idle
  5. http://nissan4u.com/parts/skyline/er_r34/2000_1/type_1/body_front_roof_and_floor/front_bumper/illustration_1/ that should give you the part numbers. can purchase through: http://www.amayama.com/
  6. Damn. I liked the rumor that the rod bent BEFORE the autosalon dyno run. lol It's sounds like you have had alot of 'fun' with this car over the past two years and i'm actually keen to see you install the 3.2 and poke it with a stick. I look foward to seeing furture updates with this car.
  7. You didn't get stuck out in the middle of nowhere again? lol
  8. yes definatly requires a re-tune unless it's set-up to run different maps for varying ethanol content. Weird thats it's been tuned to e42 and not a specific e70 or e85 blend.
  9. I agree with this, but it should be noted that Nissan supplied an essential ported manifold for N1 engines (r34 at least anyways)..which may indicate they started seeing restriction at much lower power levels.
  10. Righto - little update, Picked the car up from garage101 a few days ago. Danny only put a run-in tune on it with no timing advance and 4400rpm cut off. I'm still waiting on some parts (still runing stock cat and front pipe), hence i didn't go the hole nine yards with the tune. Anyway, just took the car for a spin then and the results are looking promising. Got 0.8bar of boost @4000 rpm and i'm not feeling a hole lot of difference in response from the stock turbo's. The updated clutch/gearbox took abit to get use to, it's a more on/off when cold then before and shutters a bit at low rpm. However, once it warms up...whle different story, so easy to drive with and gear changes are so smooth. I don't expect to get time to finish the car off until sometime in the new year, but i can't wait. Oh, one more thing - apprently my diff's might not be standard...when we push the car a few meters in neutral, the both diff's lock up and it becomes impossible to push the car any further...i know nothing about diff's, so doe's anyone know if that is normal?
  11. Fast if he got to melbourne and back that quickly
  12. Stock blocks have been proven reliable well past 800whp, so unless your building a dyno queen or drag monster... why bother.
  13. You won't see any increase in HP if that what you mean. The metal gaskets apparently create a better seal than stock and as such can take more pressure.
  14. The admins ususally lock topics that have been done to death (e.g. what power can my stock engine can take?). The forum is over ten years old now, theres alot of info on here and most of the basic quesitons have been answered several times over...you just need know how or where to find it. In saying that, the search function attached the forum is pretty crap. The best bet is to use google and limit the search to skylinesaustralia.com.
  15. Yeah can be a bit of a lottery...mine was meant to go via enclosed transport. Somehow, they got it on the train dispite the lack of ride height (measured 115mm...train is meant to require 150mm) and now half the Nullabour plain is stuck to my car. I blame my removalist for this rather then CEVA as they failed to convey to CEVA my stipulations for transport. I did however have 4 minor marks on my front diffuser where they obviously mis-judged the ride hide when they were trying to get it up a ramp. In addition to the GTR, i've had a 4wd go from perth to newcastle and back with CEVA and have got no complaints about that.
  16. No major reason, someone recommended them & they can tune Haltech's....so i thought i'd give them a go. The car's still there atm due to some part issues (it appears i've ordered or received some incorrect fuel related parts/fittings)..I'm away for work and there sorting it out for me, so i'll post up how it all pans out once it's all fixed next week.
  17. This is what i heard to. Also heard it happened before that 1072hp run . Also heard there is a nitto rb32 being built for when the current bottom end gives way.
  18. The toy looks like a alot of fun . Big and yeallow too lol
  19. how's your motor coming along Martin?
  20. Congrat's on the trophy Matt, well deserved.... & happy birthday :-)
  21. Ah yes, i stand corrected.
  22. hi Ant, can you send me some info on the sl centre caps. i've just about talked myself into buying set :-)
  23. nismo z-tune (style) front bar
  24. 56xxx on a 18yr car from a sydney dealership....assume it HAD a 1 in front of the 56. If the car didn't come with papers, assume the worse....but in saying that, it doesn't mean it wasn't well looked after.
  25. apart from the dumps (and turbos), it's all exactly the same....
