  1. Aftermarket attesa computers have been around for a while. The Ruzic units are reportedly the best - alot of high HP drag cars run them... This is incorrect. It is a g-sensor that responds up to 30 times faster, This allows the attesa to receive a more precise (quicker) signal, but does not affect the physical torque transfer speed at all (The g-sensor signal is the slow point on the attesa system hence it does work, but i thought i better clarrify the exact reason)
  2. Not all the speedo's have been wound back. There still are still nice, well maintained skylines out there with low kms. Unfortunatly these are in the minority and usually sell very quickly.
  3. Thats the only picture i've seen of it. It could be just a sticker though. Was shown in that other thread that jason was talking about: http://www.skylinesa...-color-options/ Source regarding the MNP nur's was just google...hence it's only a rumor. This is where i orginally came across it: http://forums.gtrcan...rification.html Just to spread some more rumors, I also read somewhere that nismo was doing aftermaket MNP paint jobs for a while...this could be the source of that MNP 'nur' rumors.
  4. Stock BNR34 covers are APO - cinnabar red. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/81202-r34-gtr-cam-cover-color/
  5. yeah, but that kit doesn't come with the adjustable acutators to support higher boost. The -7's & -5's kit's do. The actuators are about $200 from memory. Still a nice price though
  6. People rekon -9's are better for track then -5's too. Personally, i think it would be more in the car set-up. -9's are superior to -7's just so you know (newer design), but more expensive
  7. That's the spirit Adam lol
  8. Thats a little over priced for -7's. should be arounf the 2200-2300 mark
  9. Thanks Andrew. It's a little disappointing to hear that fabcar weren't fully set-up. I need to book sometime dyno time for about 2 weeks time, so i still mighttry them out.
  10. You could also look at twin gtx2860 or gtx2863 just to throw a spanner in the works. But just so we're clear - what we're really saying is that you can't just spend $3-4k on an ecu and -5's, slap em on and expect 400awkw. If that were the case, everyone would be doing it. (I wish it was lol)
  11. -9/-7 ( on e85) 2000cc injectors, 3+" full exhaust. Upgraded fuel pump(s), 3bar map sensor and haltech/vipec/link ecu. Link ecu would be cheapest. This will net you 330(-7) to 360(-9) kw on 98 and you may crack 400(-9) if you go for e85. E85 would provide -5 power, without the lag. E85 also requires a ethanol sensor and fuel line upgrades. TBH, I rekon see if you can go for drive/ride in a -5 and a -9 powered ride and see what suits you best.
  12. Very true. Look at my build thread if you want to see how much... google 'bakes' r34 gtr and look at his build thread for minimum mods required for -5's and how ordinary looking (IMO) the results were...and that was with one of the best builders and tuners in australia. Wrong! Jim berry twin plates are where it is really at. Yep rattle was amusing for 3s with mine....cause is was been made by the spigot bearing
  13. where you been chookie? you haven't be on in ages
  14. Mmmm that looks familiar.... I believe pitcrew at Thorton stocks it too.
  15. Active red was available in series 2, at least on the nurs it was. Must of been pretty rare though if you haven't come across it though.
  16. Oil cooler is in the way on mine
  17. Sorry to report, thats looks all stock. You had me excited for a mod for a while. That thing that goes into the fender is a little resonator, it can be removed for greater airflow.
  18. can you take a few photos. Thatt don't sound stock. (the vent is and the hole in the fender is there for a seperate reason).
  19. ive been assured they don't become a restriction to ~400kw I'll soon see :-) Adam, ive sent a msg to paul asking for the price. i'll let you know.
  20. If you can get hold of some dead AFM's ant, that would be best. That way your good ones are somewhere safe, so when you do put them back on the car, they actually work :-)
  21. No, gut. Remove wire mesh and sensor. For your car, you won't see a difference. Its only really the big HP set-ups that will see an improvements. We I was talking with Paul the other day about it, and he showed me some flow results he had. Red R racing catch can water bottle combo. I know he has one ready to go too.....
  22. This man nailed it The answer to everthing in life. More boost. If in doubt - 30+psi and RWD is the answer.
  23. Proven 6% better flow when you gut them. DONT GUT WORKING MAF's THOUGH!!!! Follow the lead - where does it go? it's definatly o2 or MAF though and the other end should be around that location somewhere.
  24. big lotto jackpot tonight...so it might if you buy a ticket lol
  25. AFM's do funny things - particualry if there on the way out (i.e. speratic voltage reading). Down low they aren't really doing much, up high on the other hand....
