  1. You should have left the stock dumps on Adam, Those hks style dumps can cause turbulence issues and hurt response
  2. Matt, just read your comment on the jb clutch. Haven't driven with my yet, but engaging/disengaging = worlds of difference. Just more feel to it already with the modified spring.
  3. Check the speedflow catalogue and head out to pitcrew at Thorton to get the right fittings. Do what Matt said - do it right or don't do it at all.
  4. ^^^post whores lol
  5. Just grab some 2000's and have the capacity for later on
  6. Thanks martin, but amazing what can happen in an hour. Due to anunfortunate family matter I'm now in newe/Forster for a few more days.
  7. Well guys - last day in newe and the Gtr is still not together. Got a busy couple of hours ahead lol. Sucks cause I was hoping to catch up with you guys before I left.
  8. A couple of 250 shot nos might get him there...briefly.
  9. Keep an eye on it Jarad. It may be just conensation build up. if it appears to be getting worse, take it to a dyno and get em to drop a pressure sensor into the cooling system. They will be able to pickup the pressure spike if you have a leaky head gasket.
  10. Martin and Luke are correct. i've never heard of a blown turbo causing white smoke...Even that link you posted was unconfirmed. I'd say the s15 you looked at had a leaking head gasket in additon to the blown turbo.
  11. IWhite smoke = burnt coolant. You may have a leaking head gasket.
  12. At this stage they will be going back on the car temporarly as i don't have time to sort the recirculation piping. But in a month or so they will be coming back off. (btw - there HKS SSQS - they have a bit of gasket goo on em, but i'll be giving them a service before they go back on the car, so they will be in great condition mecanically)
  13. or ebay for a 2nd hand engine. you would be looking at above $20k for the 2.8L after labour, and supporting parts etc - more likely around $25k
  14. spotted a black r33 turning onto donarld st from beaumont about 10am. and also spotted a bayside blue r34 gtr turning onto lampton rd from bridges rd sometime around lunch time.
  15. So…we started assembly late today Picked the engine and crane etc from Paul’s – ute’s come in handy Gearbox first – jack the car back up Getrag’s are f’n heavy - We had to develop a bit of rudimentary scaff to get it in. (that’s Paul under the car doing up the cross member bolts) And then as we forgot the engine crane brackets for the engine, we decided to put the fuel pump in – Rear seats out (sorry for the dark photo - forgot to turn on the flash on the phone) Expose the fuel pump and change over for nismo unit. Just a note on my seats - They have leather covers that fit like a glove. They look pretty good and keep the original seat trim in awesome condition. After the fuel pump, it was getting a little dark to work so we called it quits till tomorrow.
  16. We started today - didn't get as far as i wanted cause we keep on leaving parts at Paul's. Should be turning to the key tomorrow though. I'm writting an update to the build thread atm.
  17. Maybe, but i like to think that we're much shrwder at business then them. We do dig dirt out of the ground and sell it a ridicolous price to them :-)
  18. I'll be around Sunday, would love to get a couple of shots of the car before i go :-)
  19. ^^ ha LOLZ
  20. Hot side on. Gearbox has also been picked up so everything is ready to go in. Should be installed and running by end of next week, just in time for shipping to Perth. Piggaz - Paul didn’t do that intake mod you sent through due to time restraints. Next time i add some mods that require a new tune, i'll do it then. Cheers, Joel
