  1. ^^^ saw that lol. Just don't impulse buy or swap... lol
  2. Does look alright. That rear qtr panel knock, could be the reason why it isn't selling, but if it chassis is o.k...no issues.
  3. With Adam's build list, he definatly will be able to handle some more power pretty reliably. But i was mainly refering to the knowledge that the engine was going to be in good shape once finsihed i.e.'solid'
  4. Questionable 2nd hand r34 engine's...yes Solid rebuilds....No But good to hear it's coming along Adam. Unfortunatly build budgets never go to plan
  5. Martin, that doesn't have a RB!!!
  6. http://www.ultimatecarpage.com/car/392/Nissan-Skyline-R33-GT-R-LM.html http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/401599-1996-r33-gtr-v-spec-le-mans-limited/ Pity ^^ that went pretty cheap IMHO.
  7. yeah i'm only joking lol. See if you can get a nice series 3 r33 or even a LM. I've alway liked them :-). But on series note, take your time to find decent one.
  8. Imposing aren't they :-) Another one converted to the dark side...and don't by a boat. :-) Why's it going in storage
  9. lol yeah i thought it was pretty funny. I'll get Paul to send me some picks/video when he has it running.
  10. Another Update Engine has been stripped. Paul reports 3 pistons had some cracking (2, 5 & 6). Everything else was in pretty good knick. The turbo’s had almost zero play in the shafts and no damage to the blades. Not bad for 11 yr old ceramic turbs – and good to know the car hadn’t been flogged to death via over-boosting. Paul’s been working on an early 90’s v6 Camry and found, with a bit of experimenting, that GTR exhaust manifolds are virtually a direct bolt on for this engine. So my old turbo’s have already found a new home. Torque steer anyone? No photos as I’m away for work.
  11. f*ck. i have RE001 NOT RE01R's. got the names mixed up -sorry. http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Bridgestone/ wear rating on the RE001 220 wear rating on the new RE002 is meant to be the same, but bridgestone claim its better. http://www.bridgestone.com.au/tyres/treads/RE002.aspx It should be mentioned that the RE001/2 are the successor to the bridgestone tyre that was developed/released with the r34gtr
  12. oh yeah there directional. :-) and i should mention that they were bald too at that stage. But getting back tto why i was looking for the wear value is that i'd heard these grip like FED RS-R's and wear like the RS's so i was going to say these might be an option for Ant (well the RE-02 anyway, which have repalced the Re01 and are apparently better again) From memory the Re-01R's were about $360 a corner.
  13. When i had the rears on the wrong sides they were shit. Epic wheel spin in the wet lol. But after i corrected that, i found they griped fine. They floated a bit on the highway during the wet, but i think that was just due to the width.
  14. got it. My bridgestone RE-01R's are rated at 140-180 lol. I knew they were sticky, didn't relise they were that sticky lol. A few people i spoke too rekon you would get 15-20k kms out of them.
  15. tread wear
  16. where are you getting those numbers from?
  17. Buy the feds. It's a waste to have the nitto's wearing on the street You probarly don't want to take your 37SL's on the track too...so it maybe worth buying a cheap set of track rims and fitting the nitto's to them....best of both worlds then.
  18. they should host nats in WA
  19. Benji's build thread http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/409507-bakemono-nissan-s15-build-thread/
  20. i can un-install your cigarette lighter for $100 plus $50 for disposal.
  21. who's your mechanic?
  22. Lol I like the sound of that. I’ve still got some toluene floating around in the lab at work. Around 360awkw seems to be norm for -5's, so it will be good when you get there. Adjustable gears will help alot. What clutch are you getting? And while we’re on the topic– my clutch & flywheel were pulled off the engine – Clutch tuned out to be an Exeddy Carbon-D twin plate and billet fly wheel in very good condition. This explained the 1st gear slipping sometimes when the engine was cold. I’m pretty ecstatic this clutch is in a good condition. It felt awesome to drive with, so I’m glad I don’t have to get rid of it. However, I’ve sent it to Jim Berry to work his magic to ensure it’s up to scratch for the expected major increase engine torque. Also, the gearbox/transfer case was dropped into Terry @ Award Gearbox & Diff for a full rebuild. The gearbox/TC didn’t really need attention other than the spigot bearing and TC clutch plates, but figured it made sense to give the whole thing a re-fresher for peace of mind. Also, some parts have also started to arrive at Paul’s - Tomei pon cams, springs etc and the -5’s.
  23. That's just wrong
  24. Lots of smoke is ok :-) Through some info bout the rims inthe build thread.
