  1. Going to the pub always sounds good
  2. Come on, it will be fun, plus we need 'responsible' mature adults to make us look respectable lol. (Also, you have that black Tommy K 34GTT right?) you sound like me lol. Are your kms geniune? i havnt been out there either, it could be interesting. If the cars finished or not on a truck to Perth (mooving soon), i'm in. Otherwise i might have to hitch a ride or bring something considerable slower along. lol
  3. I'm sure Paul would love to continue his crusade if the mods would reinstate his account...hell, that la bumba idiot's been hit with the ban stick about half a dosen times and his still on here. But i dont know the history and that decision is for the mods....now back on topic.. Interesting ideas. If this can be set-up, i'm sure guilt toy knows how to do it, but have you spoken to your tuner directly as to whether they are confident to do it? Also, have you considered the haltech - from memory it has accepts all of those inputs, although its a little pricey aswell.
  4. I think that pretty much sums it up. $20k for JDM 32gtr aint to bad considering those prices.
  5. The engine is at red r racing and The dirt man himself is on the case - I have upmost confidence in him. I'll look out for the update 34s ftw
  6. Terry, do you remember the name of the site by any chance ?
  7. Sounds good!! lol...a phone call to Jim may be worth while either way - he likes to talk clutchs and he may be able to offer some advice on what caused the faliure or your proposed selection. The drivability was why i made the suggestion - i hadn't heard about the welding issue (bit worried about mine now )
  8. Huge fan of this build look foward to seeing phase 3. Did you consider the carbon D clutch? or have you thought about giving Jim Berry a ring to see if he can do something with the current clutch?
  9. yeah i know the original aussie Z got sent overseas, but i thought another guy in melboune imported one?
  10. in that case if your not pushing say >350kw, then the 75mmx2 - 85mm type front should be fine.
  11. stock is 60x2in to 70x1out or there abouts. I found the similar thing a few weeks ago, so i'm getting one custom made.
  12. Can i volunteer my services and take it for a test drive to ensure it is truly a Z-Tune. does that mean there's going to be three in the country?
  13. Did Terry find Nismo? (Z-tune)
  14. Jack/George Paul @ Red R Racing is doing me a sump extension/baffle kit as part of my engine build at the moment. PM me if you want me to see if he is interested in creating a few more.
  15. That was last year.... It was confirmed earlier this week that big bird was indeed crushed. Pretty f*cked for the owner, especially considering most skyline owners in the USA have been getting notices giving them 28days to send the car overseas.
  16. What a nice polite letter saying f*ck off.... Did your photo of the pot hole show the white mark around it? it may be used as proof saying that RMS had identified the hazard. I would be replying asking for: proof of road inspection before time of incident proof of 'repair interval' i.e. time from indentification to repair prior indentified hazards at location proof identified hazards were repaired Although a long shot, it would be worth checking if pot hole has been fixed.
  17. Terry, Was this thread just to show off your car???? Awsome photo's nytsky My fav nismo gear is the speedo, cause we all like to see a speedo that goes to 320kph when we're driving down the hwy.
  18. 33 owners just look at u funny when u wave at them. 34 drivers are much more friendly. Since we're short on 34gtr owners, a general 34 owners cruise maybe more suitable...I remember there was one a few years ago to foster along the lakes way. Matt, I know how u feel bout the car...mines missing an engine and gearbox atm.
  19. ahh the other white gtr...Very clean car mate. I was devo when i found out bakes had sold it, it was the same time i was looking for one and i would have grabbed it for sure ( i was on a secondment in perth at the time and i didn't know it was for sale ).
  20. ahhh. learn something new everyday... Maybe a call to the previous owner or racepace might save some time and labour...
  21. Me Too!!! I think your next investment should be an EBC. Its strange that the previous owners have spent $20k+ on support mods and yet no EBC has been installed. Also, +1 for ditching the MAF's, go for a vipec/link or haltech MAP setup. Remember, a good safe tune will is the best thing you can do for relibility. IMO if you plan to keep the car off the track, installing the above two items should get you ~500+rwhp, which is ample for the street. If the plan is to track the car, an upgrade the oil system is a must with an extended sump, baffels and new pump. This has been covered in mant topics so i won't go into further detail
  22. Could be contributing to the problem. But jez pointed out the main factor that needs to get fixed.
  23. Nice car :-) The search button is your friend.(check out the general maintenance section too). But for starters, get your mechanic to do a complete fluid drop/replacement and replace the timing belt if there is no proof of previous change.
  24. Makes sense, i didn't know what they we're called. Forget to mention earlier; the car looks smick, especially with the new rims :-)
  25. that could be your tune^^^ i.e. never tuned for cold start. Simon, i defintatly say its your BOV's, particualy if you are runing a/m atmo with afm's (no map tune). Stock BOV's are the best anyhow. There are usually a few GTR (compatible with the gtst) ones floating in the classified for ~$50.
