Not too sure with this sort of stuff. But is the BOV plum back or not? if it is leaking and not plum back then the engine would think it would be getting more air than it actually is causing it it run real rich. But idk cause yr not hitting boost at idle lol.

HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to Sciclone's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Don't know if these fit GTR but work well on my gts. Not genuine nissan but fron nissan they are about $200 a side. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2-RACK-Tie-Rod-End-NISSAN-SKYLINE-R32-89-94-/180565625216?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2a0a8cc980 -
Rb20De To Rb20Det Conversion In S.a
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to Rev limmiter basher's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
You gotta take it to the pits they check engine mounts and things like that. You don't have to get it engineered cause the mounts are the same and just bolts straight in. if it were an engine with different mounts, like a 2JZ-GTE, you would have to get that engineered. -
I bet their first reaction was to put that defect notice on all the cars.

An Error Occured
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to ssxRicho's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Not meaning to be a smart ass, but how did you post this then? wait i read it again. I thought it said the post doesn't go through -
It makes the noise in neutral and when driving (can't hear it much cause of loud exhaust ) birds, ill check with the clutch only slightly pushed in like you said. I hope it is the thrust bearing cause i really can't be bothered replacing the isb since I am planning on putting a turbo motor and box in within the next year or so.

4 X 114.3 Cheap Stockies With Tyres (No Tread Needed)
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to GTEES's topic in Wanted to Buy
ahhh... upullit..... -
Hi all, I have an r32 gts and it makes a sound coming from around the bell housing. It makes a noise similar to the sound of a spun bearing. The noise only occurs when the clutch is out and stops when the clutch is pushed in. Wondering what is causing the noise The Thrust bearing or the gearbox input shaft bearing?
-
Yeah no joke man this is bullshit. A cop can just defect you for suspicion of being detectable even if its not. There is no point on even driving even a slightly modified car. eg having a pod filter or even just having a seat belt which doesn't retract properly.

Bad Driveline Vibration
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to HR32GTS 4DOOR's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The bit that goes into the gearbox only can go in one way. Its just where I unbolted it in the middle since it is a two piece tailshaft. -
Ok so a couple of weeks ago i replaced the center tailshaft bearing on my r32 gts. Not thinking properly I forgot to mark the tailshaft so now i put it back on in the wrong position. So now it vibrates when I accelerate. I know I have to unbolt it and put it back on in the right position. Just wondering how many different ways it can go back on. it looks like just two ways (how lucky am I 50% chance of getting it right and I get it wrong lol). But the gearbox had been rotated when the drive line was removed (long story don't ask) will that make a difference on how the diff and gearbox are ballanced or can I just unbolt the tailshaft, rotate and bolt back on in the correct position?

Can You Take A Turbo Out Of A Skyline?
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to Tianie's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I you just take the turbo out and replace exhaust manifold with a non turbo one and replace where ever ur intake plumbing with just a pipe going to ur airbox you could do that. But don't you will end up with an engine with less power than a non turbo engine since the lower compression ratio. just swap in a new engine and sell ur old turbo one you might even make a a bit of money if you sell the turbo engine. -
R32 Child Restraint Mounting Points
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to HR32GTS 4DOOR's topic in General Maintenance
Nah I Got defected for it at regency and in South Australia you have to have them... -
Just go to woolies or coles they should have it. I just used my mates mums lol
-
They check the seat belts if they don't retract properly, I got done for that, Just unbolt the seat belt in the boot (should only be one bolt) and just squirt a bit of sewing oil into the mechanism DON'T pull it apart tho. then just bolt it back in and pull and retract it until it retracts by itself. That worked for me. My thrust bearing is pretty noisy too and they didn't say anything about it. and the guy i had had was a wanker and even defected me for not having all the steering column surround so the thrust bearing wasn't an issue

Rear Control Arm Bushes
HR32GTS 4DOOR replied to boostn0199's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Iv only used polyeurathane ones like nolthalene ones. They are heaps easier to fit cause you only have to cut out the old bushing and push in the new one. Instead of pushing out the entire metal Thingo that goes around the rubber bush. Unsure about the price for the control arm bushes but I'm getting a set of rear subframe mounting bushings for my r32 for about $80 on the weekend. Hope that helps a little
