Bubba thanks for this link...seems you get the opportunity to make some changes via the plmsdevelopments product rather than just monitoring. Is that correct? $85 is the right budget for me at the moment (having cleaned myself out for the car). But if this plms thing is hugely beneficial, I'll go with it.

OK I read this and I'd like to say I'm understanding everything but being honest, I'm not! From where do I get this $85 cable? And then, is it a simple matter of plugging it in to a laptop and running ECUTalk? This is very stressful, a gauge that reaches the middle at 60 degrees and doesn't move again until after 100 degrees. I am certainly not capable of modifying the gauge and whilst I will install an aftermarket computer at some point, until then, how does everyone else with stock gauges monitor their water temp? I mean, are there any other signs to look for or preventative measures to take? Scary!

Couldn't agree more with you GT-R32 re the duty of disclosure and utmost good faith. It is time though for insurers to recognise this parking arrangement and rate it against the other options.

I live in an apartment block which has swipe card access to the underground carpark. I can describe this type of parking as neither a carport nor a garage. It is also not on street parking, or driveway parking. Famous' policy wording excludes my overnight parking arrangement (which surely is more secure than a "carport"). What's the right thing to do here? Call it a garage and hope for the best?

What sort of money would you consider a lot? I'm certainly not paying $45,000 - $53,000 (like the fine Aus delivered examples sold as part of a Sydney auction recently). I am being overly optimistic that the kms are genuine, call it wishful thinking amongst other things. But I am having the car thoroughly inspected and I am expecting to part with a pretty penny.

Hi all I am finally approaching R32 GTR ownership with test drives and vehicle inspections arranged over the coming fortnight. Having returned to the SAU forums (after approx 4 years absence), I have been reading a lot, again, about HICAS on the R32 GTR. It seems to me the vast majority of R32 GTR drivers prefer their cars without it. So my question is: when the R32 GTR begun its domination of Australian Touring Car Championships at the hands of Mark Skaife and Jim Richards, did that particular variant of R32 GTR have HICAS??? For the record, I am currently looking a 1994 R32 GTR recently imported to Australia from Japan with approx 90,000 kms on the clock. BunsenBurna
