Stock Gtr Seats For Track Work

I never did really quick times in my GTR either but even doing that the difference between a stock seat and bucket seat you will be amazed..I had to do the bracing with my leg leg thing in the car! If you going to do a stock seat maybe try and use a harness with it..Not sure if it will work with the stock seat but will be loads better than just a normal seat belt holding you in! -

I didnt like doing track work in teh standard GTR seats..Found I moved around to much with teh G forces If you had a harness aswell as standard seats wouldnt be as bad..I found the standard seats break after a few decent trackdays too.. I just brought a "cheaper" grade of bucket seat one that was deep for my bum to sit in so I couldnt move around at all. -

I know that car!! Was in the Skylines Australia NSW Photo shoot a few years back , His mate gave him a custom spray job..Not sure if he gave approval for that exact Paint job tho.. Each to there own it's only paint.

Why would it matter when the tyre was made? If it was kept out of the weather and not gone through loads of heat cycles there still good What was the tread percentage?? If the rims are worth the money the tyres are a bonus...

This is exactly my concern as well. I have seen Wakie with 32 cars on the track at one time and they were racing and it was hairy So what happens in Wakefields eyes if there was an " incident" (rubbing) on the track? Warnings given, sort it out yourselfs? I just need to reassure my Team mates and hope there still willing to particpate..We are used to the same crowd at our super sprints and everyone knows their boundrarys and there is a level of curtosy... I guess one way of putting it is" a really big super sprint/track day with just excessive traffic more than what we are used too"

Can you tell me how many cars will be on the track at any one time?? I know under Cams L2S its a maximun of like 8 cars can be on the track at any one time..some of my team mates are bit concerned about the 36 teams all having up to 6 drivers. Thats alot of cars that you need to get through to do there laps.

I prefer the mechanical oil pressure guages as well its more of a true reading. Only a tiny line that goes to the guage Cronic Each to there own on the oil warm up theory.. haha Nah I had Cusco short arms in my GTR that gave me -6 camber. The top of the tyre was pulled in under the guard and the bottom stuck out more so gave it this look " \ " Was awesome on the track as I didnt get understeer. But bad on the road as chewed all my tyres out on the inside as was only using the smallest amount of the tyre..Castor is when you move the strut and pull the tyre more forward or backward in the wheel arch..Is that Correct?

The 94 model still has the early crank issue...Even on R33 Crank I have in my car I still put a bigger crank collar on it to drive the oil pump... Cool, I am glad you are aware of GTR issues...You hear of so many horror storys and GTR being off the roads for years Just the way you sounded it was like you just brought the car a week ago.I do apologise I mean no offence I opened up my R33 engine and it look like brand new inside..I only pulled my engine out as I had no idea what it was or what was in it and we were bored one day I know my car had been tracked as well in Japan as some of the suspension work was not standard and I had negative-6 Camber on the front haha..

Yeah your right those guages can be crappy but if the red light goes off after start up and it doesnt come back on your all good!! But you do understand that oil pressure needle moves up and down while driving, with cornering and idles at light and just normal paced driving should sit around -4 ? Its if it goes under -2 then worry Get a aftermarket pressure guage installed

There would still be a bit of oil sitting in all the bearings from when you turned it off last and in probably some sitting in the crank and oil galleries, when you start it up we are talking about a millisecond of "no oil" .Once the car is started there should be oil pressure and the pump is working immediately as it runs off your crank. Your crank moves the oil pump gears move...There are too many myths about have to warm up the car before you drive it..I think pish posh but each to there own There would only be a problem arising if you had low oil in the car... Cronic you worry me..you have brought a GTR but do you know the price of unforseen outcomes that are out of your control that come with owning a GTR They have a proorly designed Sump from factory and the R32 have a crap oil drive on the crank If you are as worried as you are about oil issues I would be pulling the engine out and putting in the neccessary precautions to put your mind at ease!

Yeah I run 280kws and thats plenty for me on the road and track If I got the N1's could run more boost and get more of a rush The 2nd hand R34 N1s do come up on teh forum often for around $2k...Just need someone that knows turbos to go with you to check there condition see if the wheels spin freely and no noise and see if they have shaft play CRD where selling the 2530's -5 for an awesome price a little while ago...check them out here on SAU. So was another trader that Luke (heslo) was going to buy through, Wonder if he ever got his turbos??

Yep -5s are still smallish turbo can handle up to 350kws and nice and responsive ( Thats what I was reccomended cause that's the power range I wanted to reach without getting LAG) I HATE LAG!!!! I was looking around for some 2nd hand R34 N1s.. I would put some drop in cams with the -5s and off you go -7s are lagger but put some cams with them and it helps. -10s are even bigger and lagger again. Same as GTRSS

+2!! 2530-5s are the goods and sames as R34 N1's Very responsive turbos and make good power
