  1. Great call, Boss. I'll do just that, anybody had dealings with Auto Italia in Morley or Allstar Garage in Malaga? Their website lists gtrs and they'r close by, two pluses..?
  2. Yeah I remember you mentioning a few places, I think I'm out of options though so this is the direction I'll have to take. What were the names of them again? Was there a place in Ozzie park? The closer the better as I'll need to truck it there. Also Nak, what sorta numbers are we talking about big $$$? Will 1500 cover a service and diagnosis do you think? I know I'm being presumptious asking these questions but I was just wanna get a rough idea to work with. Thanks for the advice Peeps. Jess.
  3. Hmm, I see. This sucks. I'm going to have to just book it in somewhere I think, somewhere with a scantool and preferably somewhere with an autosparky on site, can anyone recommend such a place? This is my last resort unless you guys can suggest anything? I just want my car back!! :'(
  4. Hey all, I've been told to do a compression test as the symptoms apparently represent those of a done gasket. Do you guys agree and does anyone know how to do this? A mate told me it's a fairly easy test I should run before spending big bucks. Any(more ) help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers. Jesse.
  5. What are the pros to taking the engine out? I'm sure my vacuum lines that I can't get to are buggered, not sure about anything else. I guess it's worth it just for piece of mind if nothing else, and to make sure I don't need to worry about much for a while. I'm not sure Ross is the answer, what do u recommend doing? Do I spend a bit more now and attempt everything or just get it going then tackle the service? More logical in one hit huh?
  6. Thanks for all the advice guys, all this being said would we suggest getting this done in a shop? What do you think Boss? Also, any clues on how much that'll cost(not talking about whatever issues I'm having right now with it) and what are recommended Nissy mechanics about? Cheers again. Jesse.
  7. Cheers Whitenight27, does anyone else have any suggestions? I figure while we've got our heads under the bonnet, we do whatever else we can. I'll have to book m'mates place for a few days and storage, thank farrrk for tax return soon huh??
  8. Well it looks a tow job to m'mates place unless anyone has a better idea or offer. So I guess while it's there and in pieces we might as well get as much of it's 100k service done at the same time as possible huh? So guys, what do I need to start buying up? Filters: fuel, oil and air filters done. Belts: p/s, fan, water pump, timing. Fluids: oil, coolant, trans, p/s. (Mainly @ Boss)- what of these can we do easily with the parts out that you suggest inspecting and what am I missing? ..does that make sense? Thanks guys. Jesse.
  9. I dunno anymore guys, I just need to get this sorted. I'm in Maylands so if anyone can help out with some tests or with a diagnosis would be much appreciated. Otherwise I dunno what my next step is..
  10. I just taped the wires, didn't get out the multimeter or solderer coz I'm sh*thouse with LX and will probly more harm than good. Call out auto sparky?
  11. I havnt tried swapping a working fuel pump in yet, knight. I also better stress the problem has taken the car from fine to unstartable in the space of 12minutes gentle running time. :s It turns over and after 6ish seconds it starts coughing like it wants to start, a few secs later it might start and as Bubba said, runs like a tractor..
  12. Well I dunno, I just resealed the four split wires and took the bigass battery outa my V8 to try but still no good.. I can't help but think we'v overlooked an important factor, when the keys are turned to 'power' in the ignition, u don't hear the fuel pump prime, or if it is, it's alot quieter. Back in the day(a few weeks ago) you would hear it buzz loudly for a good 4 or 5 seconds. What could this mean? Oh, and it's got worse, Mike. A struggle to even start now.. :'(
  13. Well still no good. When you guys get a chance(bubba and boss) can u guys post up your take on it? Maybe you will describe something better than me. I'm gonna trace some wires to check for leaks but other than that I'm at a total loss..! Jesse.
  14. Sundi arvi then? I'll make sure I have jumper leads, some beers and maybe a few cheeky snags to burn. Anything else I'll need?
  15. This is so crazy it just might work! what day should I make sure I have off work guys?
  16. Awesome Bubba, when can I organize someone to pick you up? If your free to come along and lend your expertise thatd be helpful, otherwise I'll leave a deposit and borrow them? Up to you. I have a mate coming this weekend to have a look so it'd be great to syncranise that sheyat. I'll pm u my number and leave it with ya to tee it up. sick!! Cheers for the headsup Trav, We'l be sure to take a good look at the pump and it's earthing. Any help is good help! Keep you all posted. Cheers. Jesse.
  17. Nope, I can't find em. Got some new sparkplugs so I'll check the old ones on the way out. Still need to find those parts though. I'm open to all suggestions. Jesse.
  18. Well disappointed I'm not gonna get the Gtr to the rising Sunday. If anyone is yet to hear about, facebook search the rising Sunday. Should be good.
  19. Well ideally I wanna try before I buy so I don't end up with parts I don't need. On big-boss-zilla's recommendation I need to test my crank angle sensor and my ignitor pack. I need to replace my coil pack loom as plug to coil pack one is annihilated. If anyone with a 32 Gtr is close by maylands with a bit of time I'd massively appreciate borrowing some parts for a few minutes. Cheers Nak and all others helping. Jesse.
  20. Well this sucks,, anyone know where I can buy these parts?
  21. Hey guys, as my "help" thread suggests, I need to swap some working parts into my 32 gtr to find out what my problem is. Required parts are a working crank angle sensor, intact coil pack loom and an ignitor pack. The parts just need to be fitted and then the car started to test so it's not long term borrows. Any assistance is much appreciated. Cheers guys. Jesse.
  22. Hey guys, I still need these parts if anyone knows anyone..? Cheers. Jesse.
  23. That'd be great Mike, when you have some time(im free most days) I need to swap those parts in to find out exactly what's goin wrong. I also havnt tried your afms coz I dropped my 10mm socket into my engine bay and haunt recovered it yet.
  24. NEEDED- coilpack loom for 89 gtr. Cheers all. Preferably message me if u have my number. Jesse.
  25. Great, I just dropped my 10mm socket into a dark, uncharted corner of my engine bay.. The best size to lose! >
