Just the reassurance I wanted. Thanks. It's close to touching the housing but it doesn't.

Measured with a vernier as good as I could with the turbo on the car. There will obviously be a bit of error
-
I would like to know what peoples opinions are on how much shaft play is normal for a turbo to have? Mine is about 1-1.5 mm total. It just feels like a lot more than what it should have. I have a SS2 with 0.82 rear. The car is also driven hard all the time. But does get good warm ups and cool downs

yeh sorry i keep forgetting i have ext gate and t_revz is internal, but he will still see gains non the less without at cat.

My dyno sheet is on page 292. that power and psi i stated was actually at 6200ish rather than 6000, mind you its did make just over 290 before some timing was backed off. Based on the laws off physics.. In an Ideal world nothing after the dump on the turbo, will obtain the best results performance wise. any restriction in the exhaust is going to result in power loss, thats inarguable, its just when the gains don't become significant enough to worry about. Please dont get hung up on numbers, it might not be exactly 20kw... As with your exhuast, it must be a good free flowing one

I got 280kw at 16psi at 6000rpm. I had no cat. If im correct u had a cat in ur exhaust system?.....Get rid of the cat and I can almost guarantee you will see around 20rwkw gain and response gain as there is less back pressure on exhaust wheel.

4x D1R 2x 17x9 +17 225/45 2x 17x10 +15 235/45 $850 front tyres have roadworthy tread depth, rears are not roadworthy tread depth. few things to mention... they have a few MINOR scratches here and there, and the 10inch wheels have some scratches around the wheel nut area, 9 inch wheels have different tread pattern tyres and one of the of 9inch wheels has some gutter rash, i can send a MMS of the defects if you give me your number. Located Bundoora... 0422334013 ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ 2 x Enkie RP03 18x9.5 +38 $400 pretty good condition they have 265/35 tyres good for skids, different pattern tyres on each and different tread depth on each, 1 probably isn't roadworthy condition

I believe stao was running around 20-22psi hence the power difference. And I was running. 18 down to 16psi. Mind you Im running straight off The waste gate with no boost controller at all. Stao was right External gate makes a huge difference in power figures. I think my car could make 300-320 on 18 psi (at 6000rpm) considering. It made around 290 on 16psi (6000rpm)

Just did a winton drift practice day and may i say, the turbo ran really well, not one problem and is the perfect amount of power for third gears slides, car did not loose one bit of power thrashing it all day and was very consistent. Had to learn to keep the revs up but once they were up, i was like furk me this is good.

I didn't get a printout for the 295kw run, but if i remember correctly it wasn't much difference. It was between 180-190kw.
