  1. No one seen this leak before ? Or heard if a fix ?
  2. Also there is a self diagnosis check that can be done to check your sensors etc in the service manual maybe that can help u fix yours
  3. I was going to say hello but wasn't sure u were the owner . It seems its a over pressure valve , maybe we put too much gas in? I didn't give it a squirt to 7k when it started leaking , how much gas did they put in yours? Did they feed just high pressure or low on the firewall as well?
  4. Mmm hard to say what happens if you grab both shafts in each gear? If second is is markedly different than other gears myself I'd give it a miss unless u can internally inspect it, check the drain plug for metal, I had a Subaru box which was similar and when pulled apart teeth were missing, go with your gut is probably best answer I can give Scott
  5. Hi guys, Had my Aircon regassed and all was fine (thought it was too easy for a Gtr) anyway got home and heard a hissing sound and thought it was coolant boiling in turbos . Fast forward 2 weeks went for a drive and air con clutch won't engage. Went back to carbon to look for leaks which we couldn't find so I changed the compressor o rings . We started to add some gas and I heard the hissing again. Dave said to take it home and add air from compressor to find leak which I did. Anyway after about 45 minutes I found the leak was from rear of compressor where the wire comes out there is a brass screw with a tiny hole in it. I checked in my spare compressor and it's the same. Under the screw there is a spring and a seat, anyone know what this is? Clearly it shouldn't leak normally but it must be there for a reason. Can't find it on google, I'm thinking if pulling the rear plate off the old one to see what it is but my feeling is it's an over pressure valve or and bleed hole if something fails? On vw's with zexel compressors they change some sought of valve as part if conversion to 134a could this be needed on Gtr? Scott
  6. Good luck mate hopefully someone can help you , looks clean but it was 4 years ago hopefully it still looks the same
  7. Certain gearboxes are prone to rattling but if you think it doesn't matter all good you diagnose it then
  8. A pic for you
  9. I re sprayed mine satin black and you can actually do most of it engine in, for me I preferred it to look factory but depends what your after
  10. What colour is engine bay now, I have blue Gtr and bay is black from factory .. Just curious
  11. Some things are only learned from experiences like how much it sucks removing a Gtr engine and then doing it again when it blows and messes up your nice engine bay lol
  12. X2 , we have all been at this point before and once engine is out so is your wallet lol
  13. Are you upgrading rods and pistons? If not you will be soon, seems like a lot of work not to freshen up the whole engine
  14. The problem with the carbon clutches is not kw but torque read the excedy spec sheet the twin isn't capable if a 450kw Gtr max torque I think was 800nm and actually is over 1000nm in reality
  15. What turbos? Don't get fpr unless. U need it and walbro e85 pump is much cheaper any read dyno thread to get more ideas
  16. Pencil me in provided my tune is finished the Tuesday before drama free Scott
  17. For street use and not rebuilding engine I'd say it's not necessary , however an unknown rb26 could last a few years or a few days just depends, i would place the 3k on bolt ons and tune and save for a rebuild which you WILL have to do one day. Give dvs jez a call he can do the work for you and won't tell you crap you don't need for what you will use it for. Search him on the forum or pm me I will send you his number Scott
  18. They are just being careful , no it's not completely needed but is advisable, how old is engine?
  19. I really liked my carbon twin but the issue with carbon clutches is they need to be warmed up before a decent run but other than that the twin at least was nice to drive so I assume the triple would be ok too but as u say there isn't much info around about then in the real world.
  20. If it has tomei lick kit there will be a little box with tomei written on it attached to hicas ecu
  21. Wow I think that's a few months before I originally joined! Good work ... Feel old like me? Lol
  22. It does ... Especially since I now have a daughter it's almost like I can see the years flying by
  23. Wouldn't the abs being removed cause all sorts of issues with the 4 wd system ? How. Much has been removed? Just the unit or all the sensors as well?
