Apart from a wrecker go to Pirtek either milperra or smithfield they could bend one up for u

Hi guys, I posted this in nsw thread in reply to something else but thought here is a better place. Just went to install gearbox onto new engine that has rear oil drain and twin plate clutch. On previous installs I usually angle engine down so gearbox can be attached but with the rear oil drain so close to my freshly painted engine bay I'm pretty sure it will hit. The only option I can think is lift engine off mount which isn't an issue as its just sitting there nothing hooked up, and move it forward then connect box and move both back or is there another truck in missing? I've searched a fair bit on the web and sau and can't find the answer. Scott

Just had a quick look and tried to do it but just ended in a fight, baby crying etc. usually when I do these I can tilt engine back a fair way but this new one due to rear oil drain I can't. With proper help would it be feasible to lift engine out of mounts forward a bit? Attach box and lift both back in place?

I can't help u on which bolts but get thread gauge or small screw driver and measure the depth and that way you will know pretty quick

Hi guys , As some of you know I removed my previous engine before my brain surgery (with help from father inlaw) about 8weeks ago and now I can't locate the long m10 bolt that goes through bracket and pump even though everything was bagged and tagged but clearly not enough, I got a new 75mm from repco but its still a bit short. I also tried bunnings but theirs are m10 x 1.5mm I need 1.25. Anyone know where to get one in south west Sydney other than nissan? It's the last bolt I need before engine can go back in. Thanks guys Scott

Does it have idle air control valve like stock ones? If it wasn't single throttle body it would be the seals only other possibility is u blew a intake manifold gasket? Get some brake cleaner and spray around the inlet manifold while running and see if idle changes.

Hi guys I'm just about to install my built engine, I already had installed an oil cooler on my 32 Gtr in passenger side in front of wheel well. It's -10 and with last engine oil pressure on both factory and after market gauge read a bit low at idle. I did another Gtr (albeit after changing bearings) with -10 lines and -8 cooler (owner supplied) and it has perfect oil pressure. I'm aware this may be all due to bearing clearance but I was thinking should I add a reducer to -10 to -8 then back to -10 or just leave it as is? Scott

The car was clearly sold in both of their minds but in the end it falls on integrity of seller. Another example say if something is marked incorrectly at my shop and there's been a price rise or its even below cost I feel I must sell it at the marked price, sucks for me but my integrity is important too me . If you get a quote from e-go couriers that is better than $150 to Sydney depo ill take 2 if you still have them ( tyres only) I sent engine to Adelaide for $150 so should be heaps cheaper based on weight

I have looked it up and it explains her tone, yes there are drugs etc that can be used but my gut says to trust the specialists as they have been brilliant. I will do some more research but really the only thing that will stop it is radiation if it were to come back but they don't "think" it will, and my age is the main reason they don't want to radiate. I can't really explain my feelings but I havnt really worried so far and it's harder for my family emotionally than be and I was at peace enough that if I was to die then its gods will and to that end I kind if think if this thing grows back quickly I'm screwed if it takes the ten years or so that I feel it will ( if it does) then I just need to go through this again but at least will survive. I still feel ultimately lucky in my life I have much to be thankful for and there are many that have it much much worse even on this forum .

Cancer specialist called tonight apparently my tumor is quite rare as although its a grade 2 menigioma it also has rahboyd cells which are very fast growing, she said just wait for MRI in 6 months but if I have any issues to call her, to be honest her tone wasn't great but I have to trust her so time will tell, fingers crossed again I guess. I believe when mr parish sold Oran park the deal was that the track must be relocated at that time it was supposed to be Wilton but never happened so I agree something is better than nothing as Oran park was used 364 days a year I'm told.
