  1. Well the only logical conclusion I can draw from this, is that the standard ones have been replaced by shorter ones for whatever reason. I might just buy a set of standard ones, or at least take a look at them...
  2. Nope, no spacers. Maybe someone has used shorter ones on this hub? Should I post up some pics..?
  3. Hey everyone! I was wondering for those of you with bigger/wider wheels on your Stagea; did you have to change the studs/bolts to put the new wheels on? Mine seem to be too short, to fit my 17x9 +22 wheels on.
  4. More details needed! Destination in Bunbury? Approx stay time in Bunbury? And yes, a date/day would be very helpful.
  5. Does anyone have a part number for longer wheel studs for an S1 RSFour? The stock ones are too short and I want to chuck my other wheels on. I've posted in the 'Wanted' section in WA also, but it would be nice to know exactly what to ask for...
  6. Postponed due to lack of interest. I will be organising another one regardless in the near future. Keep your eyes open, and be ready to commit ASAP...
  7. Not the sort of response I was hoping for. If you're still keen, and you haven't already messaged me, do so before 12pm, or I'll have to postpone it for another day.
  8. Not restricted to Skyrines. Bring whatever you want to drive fast. I'm taking my MR2...
  9. It will be an Autokhana/Superkhana style event, which essentially means driving really fast around a series of tight corners and short straights. It will be a FULL day event, but obviously you can come and go as you please. You will need your own, or access to the following things; Licenced & roadworthy car Helmet Long sleeve shirt and pants (cotton is best) Closed in shoes Your car will be lightly scrutineered before you are allowed to drive it on the track. Basically, make sure the following things are done; Battery is secure Seatbelts lock under tension Tyres are not completely bald Loose objects are removed from cabin Your car is not falling apart Your car is not leaking vital fluids Cost is $140 - payable before the day. Price will include Hot Dogs and drinks for the drivers only. Spectators are most welcome, but will need to provide their own food and drink. You will need to bring your own; Seats/blankets/cushions to sit on during the day. Sunscreen, just in case Insect repellent, just in case. Don't forget your tools, and spares just in case! There's plenty of room to make a mistake, so rest assured that the worst that will happen is your car might get a little dirty. It'll be good fun, and it'll be at mostly slower speeds, so drive at the pace that you're most comfortable with. Your times will improve the more you drive. There's a chance of some professional instruction on the day too. The money is non-refundable, so if you can't make it, find someone else to take your place. Make sure your car is reliable, and will last the whole day. The price is the same whether you drive for 1 run or 20. You may drive someone else's car (with their permission of course!), but that car will need to scrutineered also if it hasn't been already. Lastly, the track is for everyone who is driving on the day. Each run takes about 1 minute 30 seconds. Don't dawdle, remember who you're after in the running order, and standstills are for Motorvation. If you're deemed to be unsafe on the track, you get 1 warning only. After that, no more driving for you. You will need to let me know via PM or e-mail, if you intend on driving by 5pm this Thursday the 2nd of June, so that I can advise and pay the venue, and sort out your running order for the day. Contact me with any questions Thanks
  10. The 12th of June is confirmed. Cost will be $140 per driver, and will include a bbq lunch and drinks I will paying in full before the day, so you will be paying me back directly. There are 18 places in total, with 5 already allocated. First come, first served. Post your definite intentions to participate below...

Who is making/providing the cake? What sort of cake? Maybe I'll bring 2 cars..?

    Rising Sunday

This sounds good! A stock Stagea wouldn't represent the Datsuns very well though, so I'll bring something else. Hmmm...decisions...
  13. Sunday 12th June? This is looking like a good day to do it. I've had word that the venue is available, but I need to confirm the day/date soonest, so that no one else books it. There will be 13 spots. Post your replies here ASAP...
  14. Ok guys, the weekend of the 4-6th June might be a go, with the day being either on the sunday or monday. I'm in the process of finding out the schedule for the next month or so, so the final date is TBA. Watch this space!
  15. Still waiting on an answer regarding the availability of the venue. Lame slowasses! I check this thread regularly, so don't for one second think I've forgotten all about it. I'm keen to get out there again myself!

  18. The roads to the right of the dome is what we use. It's a short course, but it's a lot of fun. It suits people who are new to competitive driving because there's a lot of space to make a mistake. It's quite good fun, with a few different track variations available. Quick cars do most track layouts in 1:10 to 1:20. Short runs, but you get to have lots of them so it's good practice.
  19. Yes P plates are fine. As well as Go Gear, Cully's Yamaha on Wanneroo rd in Balcatta also do cheap helmets. Will advise on a suitable date once I hear back from organisers... Keep a close eye on this thread!
  20. Ideally I'd like to have 15 or 16 drivers to make it good value for money = The price may come down a bit... Just to confirm in this thread of those who are keen, and are prepared to make the commitment; Me + 4 of my mates Razor36 PewPew Socrates Grifforelli Skyline'zor Bren444 (subject to date) BreathLess Jonno34 V8or4x4 (subject to your conditions approval) Put simply, all you need is a licensed and roadworthy car which will scrutineered on the day. Long sleeve shirt Long pants Closed in shoes AS (Australian Standard) approved Helmet Cash I'll also need to check with the organisers to see when the track is available. I'll do this, and in the meantime reply with your confirmations... Thanks! J
  21. Yep! Although through certain sections it wouldn't be advisable! They're a bit narrow...
  22. Hi all, I recently ran a Track Day at the Midvale Speed Dome, and it was great fun. It was informal, there was no requirement for a CAMS licence, and all you needed was a roadworthy car and some basic safety gear. All who attended informed me that they really enjoyed themselves, as it was a good opportunity to get their car out on the track, and poke it with a stick. A few drivers also used the day to test out various settings and additions that they'd made to their car. I'm planning on running another day like the previous one again, possibly either at the end of this month, or in the beginning/middle of June. The previous event was a full day (9am - 4pm) and included lunch in the middle. The cost was $150 per driver, and there were 12 drivers. I'm asking for expressions of interest at this stage, with a date, final numbers and final cost to be confirmed. Please let me know in this thread, and I'll update as necessary. Thanks!
  23. Mine did this too on a recent long distance trip. I would wind her up, then go to overtake only to have this surging nonsense, and the speed only increasing marginally. It was definitely pissing me off. The last time I drove a car that did this, it turned out the cooling system was partially blocked = Not flowing enough coolant. I will investigate!
  24. Hey dude, have you still got the coil pack cover? Is it for an SR20 Red top or something else? Please let me know...
  25. Tyres will be 235/45/17's on the aforementioned wheels...
