Thats a little strange, i have a mate who is a copper and he informed me of lots of defect stations around the Glenelg area. Good that they target the dickheads only hey and not the sensible enthusiasts.....

Just done a little while ago... Shannons - 24 yrs old - R32 GTR - All mods (i dont really know what they are i just told him heaps of gear) - Premium $1300 - Excess $400 insured for $25,000 Due to having limited drive time and being locked in a shed like fort knox it came down a bit. The guy on the phone told me to re-negotiate the premium etc when i turn 25 (3 months) Not too shabby

No worries!!! I have a new plate idea "MARTIN" LOL!!!!!!!!!

A track day sounds awesome fellas. I would love to see how the car goes around the track but as i said to Martin when i bought the car, i am too afraid on breaking it!! The little bit of banta between me and Dumpe (Ninja/Quentin) is all it is. He is a good mate of mine i work with. Just a quick question, if i get new plates will the car still be Martin's Ride?? Cheers Matty

For sure mate. Would be an awesome sight to see heaps of skylines (sensibly ) cruise through the hills. Have to organise something soon. How do they operate? Having never been witness to a cruise or something similar, how are they organised? Any heat from Police (ish) looking cars? Cheers, Matty

My missus got home and rang me as soon as i got off the plane to tell me the GTR made it home safely and was snoozing in the shed.. Only 10 days to go until another drive encounting...

Yeah that would have been my missus coming through Woodside. Rego plate is SK....something!! That was very hard to let it go today but she is an ex speedway racer so she should be fine!! It has been put to bed for a couple of weeks until i return. Anybody else live in the Hills on SAU?? Cheers Matty

Hey SAU SA, I have fulfilled one of my dreams to own a 32 GTR. I have bought Martin's (HOSTILE) GTR and couldnt be happier!!! Awesome being a GTR owner, i have wanted one since i can remember!! Big ups and respect to Martin for being an absolute legend and making the whole process easy and awesome and alowing me to purchase such a fine example of what GTR's should be. It is a sensational car mate, you can rest easy, she will be VERY well looked after. Anybody see me around, I live in the hills (Lobethal) feel free to stop and say g'day. I work in Roxby Downs so i will only be back every 3 weeks so i will try and drive the zilla around as much as i can as well as get into cruises and other events SAUSA puts on. Hope to get to know all of you other Skyline owners in the near future, and i i said before MASSIVE respect to Martin for his help! Cheers all, Matty

Hey guys and gals I am looking for a clean R32 GTR with a REBUILT MOTOR with mild to moderate mods. Actually the more mild the better!! It will stay in the garage and sleep for 3 weeks a month and only driven 3 times a month as i work in Olympic Dam and only come home for 1 week per month. I am looking at buying one within 10 days, but if anyone else has one they would like to sell, please let me know either by PM or on this thread. I am 100% serious too, not just being a tool and dreaming.... PLEASE IF YOU LIVE IN SOUTH AUSTRALIA AND YOU HAVE AN R32 GTR WITH A REBUILT MOTOR THAT YOU WANT TO SELL, PLEASE LET ME KNOW ASAP!! Cheers all, Matty

Whats The Difference Between Skylines?
GTAAAAAAH32 replied to GTAAAAAAH32's topic in South Australia
No worries CRoNic, Lots of pros and cons suggested on that forum. Some say they last for ages and some say they die within 1000km... I will have to make a decision once the purchase is done. How much are we talking for an upgraded oil pump? Is it how much you push your car or they just die for no apparent reason?? The forum again states this but i dont quite understand why... Endless pools of money GTRs aren't they? I dont care.... GTR..(like HSV)... I Just Want One!!! -
Whats The Difference Between Skylines?
GTAAAAAAH32 replied to GTAAAAAAH32's topic in South Australia
The rest looks awesome mate, (dont wanna give to much away unless some bastard gets in before me!!) i think its a goer. The only question i have now is the N1 oil pump. Our mate above thinks they are bollocks, but im not one for thrashing my car at all. (in saying that though, i do love the sound of a RB26 at 8000rpm!! ) Will have to discuss this further. Thanks for all your help, i literally know nothing about cars. I can put more oil and water in and change the tyres but thats as far as my mechanic mind goes. Cheers mate -
Whats The Difference Between Skylines?

these are the following mods to one i am looking at with a fresh rebuilt motor with 240awkw Nismo Twin Plate Clutch, Nismo Engine Mounts, Nismo Baffled Sump, New Drive Shafts, N1 Oil Pump, R33 Snout Crank, Recon Head, 600cc Injectors What the hell is a snout crank? Is that what you were talking about trick? What do you think about the mods? -
Hey SA SAUers, I am still fairly new to this forum, and are getting extremely close to buying one of my dream cars in an R32 GTR. Which brings me to my question. I am generally looking 1992 to 1994, however i am accepting earlier with a rebuilt motor. What are the physical differences between 1989 to 1994 GTR's? I have seen some 1993 models with side indicators and some without. Is that all? Please advise, i will be making my purchase hopefully within 10 days.... Cheers Matty
-
dont worry.... upon further inspection of your rego plates, i can see queensland..... DAMMIT!! Why cant someone in South Oz have a car like this for sale!!!! AGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
-
what state are you in mate? Please tell me south oz....
-
so all in all what you guys are saying is,... As long as the car has no outrageous mods (massively too low, 20's, 1000db exhaust, etc,) and all the chassis/engine/compliance items line up, it all should be sweet? anyone had experience with this??fill me in???
-
Thanks for the info mate By inspector i assume you mean taking it to regency? How much is all the paperwork if it gets the all clear? Is the guy checking the car have any idea about modified cars? i mean im not going to show him a skyline with a 454 chev with a blower but how much do they know? How much mods can you hide or get away with? Sory bout all the questions just want to know to be safe and secure!!! cheers matty

Hey SA SAUers, New memeber on SAU, just wondering about a couple of things. I am about to buy my dream car in an R32 GTR, however i will probably buy it from interstate... Just a little cheaper and much more variety. I m being quite picky in what i want. Here is my question. How hard is the changover process from NSW, QLD, VIC plates to SA? If i buy a modified GTR how hard will it be to change the rego? What is the process? Does it go to regency and get thoroughly looked over just due to being a turbo jap car? How much are we talking? ANYONE OUT THEE PLEASE LET ME KNOW... Cheers, Matt
