  1. Well guys, even though i used about 1.5 tanks worth of petrol today, I could definitely notice the reduced knock levels, a result of the 100ron fuel. Id be happy to use it often, but its a pain finding a petrol station that stocks it. Most of them are about a 10 minute drive away, at least
  2. I had an absolutely AWESOME time. Myself and PORTS and Jeff/Geoff stayed there pretty much until the end. The track was absolutely dry, and we had a great deal of fun. Those mod cars were absolutely awesome. They were damn quick around the track, and probably did about the same down the straight as me about 210km/hr Bloody quick little things if you ask me. But I forgot to take any photos. By the way, where was UAS John ???? I suppose he couldnt find a big enough anchor to stop the zed from leaving the track . Just jokes.
  3. id also guess the 180 But who here really drives stock cars ?
  4. Depends how you drive really For example, with stock turbos i had full boost around the 3000 or so rpm mark. So the engine would chew through more fuel because i would be making more power at 3000rpm than with my current setup. Therefore, better fuel economy. However, At the moment, I am at about 85-90% capacity of my 700cc sard injectors at full throttle/boost, over 6000 or so rpm, so fuel economy goes through the roof
  5. holy moley that is pretty big. Check out the compressor maps to see if that turbo meets your needs ?
  6. It really depends on how you drive it. While i have a gtr, i do have upgraded turbos. and i can say effectively, that if i proceed to rev it out, such that i am at full boost @ 4500+ rpm in 4th, then it chews petrol like anything. however if i stay on minimal boost at lower revs, it probably chews less than it did standard
  7. at idle, it should be ideally 14.7, which is stoich While on boost, it should be around 12:1. Bear in mind, the a/f meter you have isnt very accurate, because it probably feeds off the factory o2 sensors ?
  8. I just tanked up some for the track day tomorrow. I think i still had about 15L of optimax in the tank .... so we will see how we go tomorrow. if it doesnt like it, i will just add more fuel or reduce timing
  9. What time does it start ? Anyone want to meet up and cruise to oran ?
  10. Probably bland in terms of factory styling, compared to this day and age - to something like a 350z, or any of the other 'euro-styled' cars. And I do agree. But whack a kit on there and they look awesome. I think someone should take one of those guys for a spin in their gtr, and do a launch from 7K. Then see how uninspiring the car truly is
  11. cmon Adam Dont go a high flow. get something bigger. At least a hks 2835
  12. I have that, and the difference in spoolup is quite dramatic. The difference does lie in the top end though, T04z > 2x2560 I have the sheets on my pc at home. Will endeavour to post em up. Bear in mind, Morgs made more power in a different run, so the only real relevance would be the spoolup and torque curves ? EDIT - I have Morgs' run from Bel on the same sheet as my best run, not the CRD one. But at least this way its a more accurate comparison
  13. Marko, Im running the garrett '2530s'. Im also waiting for a retune. Car pulled 315rwkw on a dynolog with coil pack failure. Since then, adding a new fuel pump and coils, the car feels quicker than the 315rwkw run. Adding more timing (4 degrees more) and more fuel the car feels a load MORE quicker even, without any knock issues. So im very keen to see how we go also. But look very forward to see your results. 400awkw shouldnt be too far away. I hear Nick just bought a T51R SPL LOL
  14. Marko when will it be ready. Gimme a date please
  15. turn the music DOWN
  16. so what was wrong ?
  17. That was during the cooler periods With the oil cooler, not once have i seen the oil temp hit over 90 degrees. Prior to this, it would rise to about 95-100 or so degrees after a long highway journey (1hr+), continous revving @ 3k in 5th. Now, it goes down to around the low 70 degree mark Oil pressure gauge at idle is close to 2, bit of throttle gets it up to around the 3 mark and the highest i think ive ever seen it is around the 4 mark
  18. i got my pipecross filter from the guys @ lakemba (or is it belmore?) www.fabre.com.au I think is the website. You can order it off the site as well if you want to.
  19. Hey guys What is the deal with spectators/passengers. Im thinking of bringing someone/a few people along ? Oh, and out of curiosity, who is going from here?
  20. I will be there But the outlook for sunday looks like pretty crap weather. If its raining, what happens ?
  21. Hks doesnt sell kits. Their dealers do. But these kits have been discontinued. As far as I am aware you cannot buy 2530's anywhere brand new ? Correct me if I am wrong. Some of the guys who have been to japan have been unable to locate brand new hks 2530's Do you guys know how to read these maps ?
  22. No more boats are coming Just another gtr. Hopefully it wont blow up. Ive taken nathans spot. Hang on a sec, this isnt nathan from "Grey Imports" is it ?
  23. After much deliberation and a few emails yesterday, garrett has finally updated their website with the compressor map and turbine map for garrett's 2530 lookalike. http://www.turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarre...0R_707160_5.htm I am becoming more and more happy with the performance of this turbo. Since hks no longer sells the 2530, the garrett is a perfect upgrade option. Looking to hear opinions, particularly from SK in relation to reading the compressor map
  24. interesting i will be running this while i get my car retuned. Results will be interesting. If I ever move back to 98ron, timing can always temporarily be retarded. Power FC software can always be bought
