what g-tech do u use im considering getting a toy like this to play around with ? It would be nice to know what 0-100 times im getting with the sort of launches im getting at the drags (ie 1.7 60ft)

Good question I'm not actually sure anymore Gut feeling says anywhere between 4600 and 4800 Reaches actuator pressure at around 4200 - 4400 i'd say Will double check on saturday when i take it out on the freeway

Hey mate, George was right about my gain being WAY too high. I think my gain at the moment is about 15 or so. I played around with the ratio, while i had the gain set to 0 to determine the maximum boost it would hit. Once i got about 1.28-1.29 bar i stopped and then set the gain to about 15. It overboosts to about 1.32-1.33 bar, and settles on about 1.29-1.3 bar as intended I think i will be at the drags again next week. Feels a LOT quicker. I was probably running no more than 1.2 bar that night, even on the quickest run ! But we will see Mmmmmmmmmmmm drags

Emre, Im not quoting any kw figures here. I'm comparing my previous 1/4 TS to my current quickest TS. Based on the same equipment in the car. I dont know how many kw my car has, and i dont care. Once i have the boost properly configured to hit 1.3 bar, I will have another few runs and see how we go. But based upon what i saw: My 60 ft time on the 11.9 was 1.8 My best 60ft time was 1.72, which was done with more boost My quickest mph with 1.2-1.25 bar boost was 117.5mph. If i can do a 11.9 @ 114.5 mph, then if i launch with a 60ft time of 1.72 @ run 118-119 mph, i should be down to 11.6 ? Geez im cluttering up this thread. Sorry Ben

highest mph was 117.5mph I ran that with the same setup but different tune. I gained 3 mph compared to my quickest run with crd's tune (306awkw) My clutch is brand new and doesnt slip I lost mph through the night once i started 'adjusting' my boost controller Gee theres a lot of people in this thread?

Just got myself a set of toyo proxes T1-R. Damn they are good. At the drags they dont spin (too much) compared to the ziex i used to have. They are excellent in the wet, and i am a much more confident driver with them. They dont squeal like the ziex did So for the T1-R, id say 9/10 for dry, and 9/10 for wet. Ziex 326 - 3/10 for dry and 1/10 for wet

Yes I did at Bel. My AFR's were 13.1-13.2 @ full boost. Which is a bit scary. They are now a more healthy low to mid 11. I think for anyone doing just a dyno tune, you would be better off also doing a road tune.

no graph of the latest tune, just a general seat of the pants feel, and a quarter mile run. Power feels smoother. Has more punch up top (too lean on CRD's tune) and more punch down low (too lean to spool the garretts). Different tuning philosophy between the workshops. The way it is setup now, it feels a lot more driveable

Mik, i did clean perfect shifts all along. Which is why i was surprised at the mph also ?

Hey guys, just got a quick question Quickest time last night was 11.9 @ 114.5 mph. That mph seems a bit low. I ran a 118 previously. Anyone have any ideas? I think i actually dropped (accidentally) the boost level to 1.2 bar or lower for this run.

Guys I have poncams !! My boost controller makes absolutely no difference until after the wastegate actuator pressure of 0.9 bar. Now I have a blitz DSBC spec R. It spools quicker in the lower gears, but 4th gear is comparable to the original controller. So ultimately, the gear is the same. FYI i am running the following gear: Poncams 260/9.15 ex/in larger injectors gt2560R garretts nismo AFMs exhaust + front pipes + hiflow cat power fc dsbc spec r think thats about it

I would also like to see what he has to say (but i probably already know) Adjustable cam gears would probably be #1 And my dodgy boost controller be #2 I honestly dont think that adjustable gears would improve spool by *THAT* much.

Guys this is not negative feedback. I think that Jim mustve tuned my car with something else in mind. The car was meant to be streetable. With full boost at 5000 rpm, I decided that it was time to get it tuned by another workshop, just for curioisities sake, to see if there would be a difference at the end of the day. My turbos (which are comparable to the 2530's should not be as laggy as they currently are on my car. Lucien - the boost controller WAS playing up, but regardless, it still takes close to 5000rpm to reach wastegate actuator pressure (0.9 bar). Jerry (wrxhoon) had a drive of my car and tended to agree. The car was blowing a fair bit of black smoke, so the tune is definitely out by somewhat. I will give feedback on both CRD's tune and BEL's tune. My posts and opinions are based purely on my car and its setup at the present point in time. I think its always good to get a second opinion, even if it is going to cost me under couple of hundred $$$

Lucien - I do believe I posted one up a while ago. Check for posts by me in the NSW section. Mind you - I am not happy with my CRD tune. The car is laggier than i would have expected with these turbos. I am going in to BEL tomorrow to get a road tune done. Full boost @ 4800 rpm in 4th is comparable to Mik's tune, and he's running GT-RS turbos . Not happy! Will let you know results tomorrow (hopefully)
