  1. S1.5 has the best of both worlds S2 rear, S1 interior, S2 engine and turbo. Single driver airbag. I quite liked mine. Definitely a nicer car compared to the S1. And a fair bit cheaper than the series 2 Good luck !
  2. Im seriously considering placing it in front of the radiator. The cooler is about the size of half the intercooler Ill have a look at the passenger side also, to see if theres any room down there Cheers guys
  3. The GTR really isnt that bad. But a lot of people have loud exhausts, stiff suspensions. My Vspec suspension on my 33 isnt that bad. Its stiffer than my GTS-T factory suspension, but its still comfortable. Ive been up on long journeys down the highway and the thing is so comfortable. More so than even my GTS-T. The seats are buckety, but they are still comfortable
  4. Problem with a 2nd hand one is that the internals of the cat will be demolished by now
  5. Hi guys Just got hold of my oil cooler + relocator, and I had a quick look as to where I should mount the thing. Some possibilities -> In front of the radiator, or where the brake intake ducts are passenger/drivers side. Does anyone have any ideas where the best spot for it is ! cheers
  6. Batmbl sells em for $280 I got em for cheaper than that, because I have connections
  7. Just bought my hi flow cat for GTR Its the catco one off batmbl heres a pic, comparing my compliance cat to the 7.5litre hi flow Cheers
  8. I had the same dilemma I chose a 33 gtr Theyre about the same sort of money - the GTR is really only 3 years older than the first incarnation of the GT-T in 1998. For that, you get much better performance and handling. Choice is yours. While there may be a fair few R33 GTS-T's around, there are far from few GENUINE GTR's
  9. I reckon just get a 34 GT-T Thats a sufficient upgrade
  10. Funky When are you sending out those pm's for the jaycar gear ? Can you let me know ? Cheers
  11. Yep as above Something like - as long as theyre within 5% of each other, then as far as the compression test is concerned, the engine is in good order. Remove all your spark plugs, screw the tool in, and crank the engine. Measure the maximum reading on the tool, and move to the next spark plug well
  12. okay GTR solenoid works Order 4 me too please
  13. Hi guys Im going to be doing some considerable performance upgrades to my stocker I need some advice as to what I should do for cams. Ive been advised by a workshop to look into cams rather than getting cam gears. A list of mods going to be done to my car : Full exhaust system Power FC Boost controller I know theres not much, but apparently you really dont need to do much to these engines to get a fair bit of performance. Im looking into the tomei poncams, but am really confused by the lift and duration. Ive been advised to get stage 1 cams, but youve got various ones with different types of duration and lift. Can someone advise me what I should be getting ? Also, if there are any other upgrades you guys deem feasible (not pod) then please suggest it Cheers Tom
  14. Also interested if its 2wd or 4wd
  15. i assume you mean cluster? It should work, its all the same really. Might not be calibrated. But so long as you see what the problem is .....
  16. You will find that there is often a problem with nissans factory instruments. My tacho died in my 33 gts-t. Basically it would flicker up and down, and then stay at like 200 rpm. This is a common problem. Try a different tacho - that should fix the problem Good luck
  17. email sent interested in a PFC pro + other things Hope for a swift reply. Thanks
  18. All done Cam cover is off. Compression test is done. Im happy. New spark plugs coming soon, once I get my PFC, cam gears, exhaust and oil cooler :D
  19. Is that for both ? If yes, then me and Benl1981 will take em both PM me
  20. Shan Ill be up for the Boost control kit + hand controller + cable + book PROVIDED I can use it with my GTR solenoid ??? Sorry for the late notice ALSO, would it be possible to get one of those soldering irons for electronics kits at your trade price Shan? Cheers
  21. SK Ive been reading this thread with a fair bit of interest. I think i'll be purchasing a boost control kit fairly soon. MY only question is - Can I use the factory GTR solenoid ? I dont think It would be any different really to the GTS-T one ? Cheers
  22. I have a slight problem I know how to get the cover off, but one of the screws is buggered. The allen key just rolls around inside. How can I get the cover off if I cant get this one screw off? Im considering drilling through it. Alternatively, I can just let my mechanic worry about it Any ideas?
  23. No problem When you do decide to borrow it, give me a shout by PM Cheers
