Hi guys I've just imported a 180sx but it looks like it wont be hitting the road Here are the details: Its a completely stock white auto 1989 180sx. Its in immaculate condition except for the dent on the left door It only has 48,000 kms, and the interior condition looks it (if you dont believe me come have a look) Unfortunately for me, this car isnt going to hit the road The car is currently uncomplied, and it does not have rego. I can arrange for the car to be complied (or you can do it yourself) All up for compliance and rego you're looking at approx $1800 on top (unless you do the compliance work yourself, then its a bit cheaper) I just want to recoup my costs for the 3 months I spent importing this thing Im looking at about $7400 for it. Hi guys A few days ago my tacho started doing funny things. It currently sits at approximately 500 rpm at idle, and doesnt move much from there. Occasionally it will bounce around, or it will just remain at 0 rpm I have absolutely no idea whats wrong with it. Ive taken the cluster out and tried to find any dry solder joints, but it all appears to be working. Only once has it gone back to normal, after a few minutes of 'gunning it', but it later reverted back to 'not working' Im going to purchase a multimeter to try and see if the signal coming from the ECU is buggered, or whether the actual tacho cluster is stuffed. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, Id really appreciate it. Cheers Tom

Very nice GTR Think the price may be a bit high .... Plus the import market is pretty poor at the moment. Its only worth what someones willing to pay for it. Ummm, try polishing the headlight with something like cut & polish. Worked for me when I did mine Cheers Tom

Youve got a point. But parts will always be expensive, and hard to come by. Dairyboy - Imagine all the tyre-kickers youd get with trying to sell a porsche ?:throwup: My 33's as low maintenance as my previous car (apart from synthetic oil) At least so far so good.

Personally I dont think its worth it. Servicing is way too high for a car of that age. For example, one of the porsche's at a local auction in sydney had a repair bill listed on it, before sale. It was an 80s model 911. Repair bill was in excess of 10k !!! Close to 15k i think. Stick with nissans

LOL Of course you do mate. Its located above the front left tyre well. You'll see intake pipes comin up in the front left part of the engine bay.
