I think the pressure signal is fine, because it goes to the map sensor up the back. Must I have one hose connected directly to the wastegate actuator, and the other directly into the nipple off the intercooler pipe going to the turbo, thus getting rid of the factory t-piece ? Hi guys Ive just installed my boost controller. I took it for a spin, and everything *seems* a lot faster. However, when I go to calibrate it through learning mode, it says that my stock boost level is actually 0.64 bar ? And it doesnt seem to want to boost over 0.7 bar, even When i adjust the EBC to 1.1 bar Now im not sure that ive connected it correctly The HKS EVC 4 has 3 lines. One of the lines ive connected to the stock boost sensor right up the back where the black box is, off the line coming off the plenum. As per this photo here Now, the other two lines off the EVC are meant to go to the actuator, and the other to the line between the turbo and the intercooler (or something like that). What ive done is disconnect the stock boost solenoid, and connect up the EVC in place of it. ie one line goes to the wastegate actuator, the other to the line (i think its the BOV return line ?) As per this pic Now Its not adjusting the boost properly, and I have no idea whats wrong ? I think ive connected it up wrong. If anyone can post pics/tell me where I should hook up the hoses to, it would be much appreciated. Cheers Tom

Yep same with me Had to go to the inspection place when i got my skyline. Took about 15 mins all up and it all cleared. nothing to worry about

All fixed I havent checked to see the colour of the globes - they look a bit yellowish. But theres definitely light illuminating the dials, which is all I really need If I get bored of this ill either get covers for the globes or go EL Cheers guys

Ah ok Thanks guys I think I'll do that then. Id rather drive with the yellow coloured bulbs, than something which is so dark that you cant see Are the red pointer things meant to be illuminated as well ?

I think i'll just leave it at - my compliancer is dodgy :headspin: No dimmer switch anywhere to be found. Trust me on this one. rs73 - I noticed that the bulbs had green 'condoms' over them. When the dash lights up, its dark green. What colour is it meant to be normally ? Thanks for all the help so far guys Tom

I havent checked the fuse But then the back of the dash lights up green, albeit a very poorly illuminated green, so I dont THINK its the fuse. Keep the ideas coming though Id probably just need to find the right wire for the power/illumination to the dash, and rewire it with a different impedance ? Although I really dont wanna do that in case i f u k things up Cheers

The right hand stalk itself only has the parking lights, low beam, high beam options. No dimmer switch on there. Ive checked everything, pulled the whole dash apart, and nothing - no dimmer Are the red thingies which indicate which speed you're goin at, rpm, etc, meant to light up ? Coz mine dont come on AT ALL (i dont think ?) Or if they do, theyre really dark

Hey guys, Just got my skyline yesterday, but while driving at night I noticed I couldnt see how fast I was going, nor at what rpm or anything else. The back part of the dash lights up green, but its not very bright at all, and the red pointer things dont light up at all ? I dont have a dimmer switch, looks like the workshop didnt fit them. I've taken the dash apart, but I really have no idea what to do. Any ideas ? Thanks heaps

Hey ppl Ive just gotten my R33 complied, blueslipped, greenslipped, BUT ive been 'selected' to go to the pits before the RTA gives me rego Am I allowed to drive to pits plateless and unregistered, or can the coppas give me a fine? I have all the paperwork, including all the engineers certificates, import approvals, etc. Do I need an unregistered vehicle permit or something? Really need to get this sorted for tomorrow.
