  1. oh - and the hand break was on when i left the car!! its a natural thing to do - stop car - handbreak - turn car off! so really - it was a natural instinct loose-loose situation
  2. as much as i love the R34's - and with all respect to you - i wanted something "different" - altho, i will be looking at the nissan camp for my next car for temp purpose, but the magna - was to show the world a "old mans car" can be something - atltho, it isnt much now, it did draw your attention didnt it Regards, Ben
  3. Hi guys, was just pointed out to this thread altho, its the worse day of my life - i think im safe to say "it could of been much worse" a good point taken into consideration is when a guy from the boostcruising.com forums made this comment - and then it clicked - so maybe guys with turbo timers - have a bit of a think Thanks for the kind words guys RIP BOOYA
  4. not this particular engine. this engine has stock internals.. no shit. its stock inside bar the headwork. the other engine is getting bored as we speaka. :headspin: believe it or not. its a completely stock engine thats done 115,000km.. haha.. damn, and who said mitsubishi dont make tough engines..... when is the next time you SA guys are having a dyno day BOoya
  5. well, if you still remember me; this is the latest. 266kw and 500nm from 3000rpm up :bonk: turbo; GT40R custom hand made and developed manifolds; OLD FIGURE; (black line) 249.9kw/425nm torque NEW FIGURE (red line) 266.2KW / ~500NM torque.. the old girl is spooled by 3000rpm from there on in - you just hang on for dear life!! lol more info here; http://www.aussiemagna.com/forums/showthre...ead.php?t=10327 pic of the car for those intrested; more pics can be found here; http://www.booyamotorsport.com/v2/sep_pic/index.htm
  6. hence why i didnt we didnt do more then 13psi. and i did write on the dynosheet "max injector flow"... we didnt just strap a turbo on and say "its good enough" we found a faulty earth to the pumps, which in the end killed both bosch motorsport 700hp pumps.. :Bang: ... which *may* of had a negetive effect on the final HP figure, as the computer was asking for more fuel, the pump just couldnt supply because of bad power system to it... i will only find out once i replace the pumps so not happy there. im currently building the new engine with bascally every internal component replaced. aiming for 400fwkw. dyno and stip only. on the street, the 250kw i already have is a killer!!!.. my 19's just smoke up when i lauch too hard  ... still have to refin my lauch style Cheers for the comments :headspin: Ben. www.booyamotorsport.com
  7. is this in australia yet!!?? if it is, then.... maybe we can work something out
  8. oh, and to clarify, if they wanted to be cops about my car, simple defects would include, too low (58mm clearance front bar) too dark tint too big rims (19" - stock = 15" / 4" over regs) so in theory, thats enough for me to get raped over, then they could start on the engine / interior *rolls eyes*
  9. i heard you are immune to defects from other states. i regulary travel to Adelaide, and ive been pulled over NUMERIOUS times and when they look at the rego, and the licence EVERY single time they have said "no point going over the car" or something to that effect... this has happened at least 8 times in the last year of travels to Adel. so im under the idea that im 'immune' to your defect laws.. im sure if it was a rust bucket etc etc they might do something (if they bothered to pull me over in the first place) but for the majority of times ive been pulled over, ive had no problems as so ever
  10. ok, we'll leave it. its going no where. also perhaps consider a power to weight ratio. the magna comes in at a lean 1570kg + driver, so its around 1610ish or so. what would a line' weight.. 1200ish i think is what my s14 was + driver. so again, a good 300kg advantage at the very least. compairing the ET's from the time slip thing at the top of the page, a 91mph is around the low 14's for your lines' its definately off the line where FWD and not decent drag tyres fail me. ok, so perhaps someone has played the 'x' factor game on me, thats not ME to blame. i can only relay what ive been told. so if you think its unrealistic, and now that i think, achieavble not but driveable, perhaps the end figure is slightly lower, but im more then confident of 220+hp over. yes elf does play a big part but we all try to show what the most we can. in this instance i got a reading of 260so hp. so ill use it. im glad most of you matured during the latter posts, but like i said before, why im here is cos of my late s14 that died and i enjoy a passion for all vehicles not just a car in particular. perhaps ill watch the SA thread for a DYNO day, and pay a quick holiday (anything to get me out of the NT ) down there just so THEN i know i can get a equal chance at the dyno. Thank you all very much Ben.
  11. im sure there is a few variables that killed my times a) air temp, still in the 40's (36 or something on my quickest attempt) B) running on 28kg-a piece 19" rims all round.. i know silly.. c) lack of traction (and cant be deny'd it did wheelspin outta control!) on low profile 19" tyres. if i could of sourced 2x 15s and put 12psi in em then im sure it would of been a lot better results. d) driver in-experience - my first time ever doing such an event.. this also has a lot to do id say, and at least i can say this honestly.
  12. if you want to know the full extent of the mods then here i go. NO BS for f--k sake. Cams - degreed, extensive ported polished intake manifold extensive ported polished heads with redesigned combustion chambers custom twin throttle body haltech e6k ECU custom designed extractors fuel (for this hp figure + 4,6 rotary day) ELF LMS 2:1 - 2parts lms to 1 part premium 3" exhaust (altho 4,6 rotary was running with dump pipe) Compression upped to 13.1:1 with high compression pistions dudes, i didnt come to this forum to sturr the pot. and if i did, i wouldnt be defending myself. jezzus. common. dude, EnricoPalazzo, i see where your comming from, and if you dont believe me, well, there is nothing i can do to change that, perhaps and YES i would be more then happy to participate, to prove my innocence, next time im down in adelaide, perhaps set up a small dyno day, with you and a few of the other people who think im talkin out my ass. you pick the dyno, you dont even have to tell me where, ill just follow you from a pre meet spot, and then all you will see is raw figures. no BS. no talk. just figures. and yes, altho un-nessary to 'prove' i have no problem facing people if it means i can earn my creditablilty by proof that any of you cant deny. ill uphold my challenge to a blind dyno date. if you see me in adel one day, pull me up and we can go from there. bottom line, oviously there is nothing i can say/show to make you guys think otherwise, but im not BSing.
  13. if you had spent the sort of money that has obviously been spent on the magna, it would be a serious beast - yes, i know this... and it keeps roll playing in my head all the time oh well, it would be a very boring world if we all had the same cars and same mods - then this takes the last thought from my head. common, who has magna like this? its different, its something you wont see every day (and i think most of you appreciate that even more LOL) gotta give me credit for that =)
  14. http://www.autospeed.com/cms/A_2048/article.html is the actual article. www.booyamotorsport.com/autospd_magna.pdf if you dont have online access to the article.
  15. Any reason why you chose the older 3.0L rather than the more potent 3.5L engine? - they rev better The reason I ask is I know a girl with a dead stock 3.5L Magna that ran 14.8 - i know angela. 4.N1 Style Exhaust (did i mention on a MAGNA?!) - wtf? Firstly your car isn't even a nissan, let alone a skyline but why u postin on here? - like i said, im a car inthusistist. i dont just like nissan / mitsu - but all cars in general. hey, im one step ahead of somepeople who dont even have cars and post here. Secondly why did u choose a magna of all cars to modify? - to be different. after writing off my s14, they popped up like mushrooms, so i decided to do something different. is that a crime? On another note, anyone see a silver VRX or VRX kitted Magna with twin exhaust at the back and 17/18 inch wheels.. I saw it and though nice... classy cruiser.. then saw a HUGE FMIC... wooooooo..... nice. - yep, its only got 125kw at the wheels too *sigh* dont believe me, think im talking BS again? www.autospeed.com and in the last week or so its been the featured car.
  16. *sigh* i never said it "jumped off the dyno" they way Street Toruqe has its dyno is mainly for RWD vehicles. so when a RWD vehicle "rolls" forward it is still in full contact with the measuring roller. because my car is FWD, when it moves forward it actually looses contact with the measuring roller. as for making BS bout the power and whatever, when i get to work, ill scan in the dyno. i know, why bother, cos most of you guys dont/wont or care about what ever i post, but im not talking out my arse as some people on some forums (not saying here, not saying anywhere) do for a living. i do take pride of my car. as a "car - enthusist" id appreciate if most of you looked at me with a bit more maturity. i have a lot of respect for skylines (myself once owning a S14 - honestly, before i wrote it off - then jumped into a magna) and any nissan as they are great cars with such more potential then my magna - i know. so hows about being a bit more mature - ok, i do realsise adding my comment might go against the flow - but was purely wanted to know if anyone actually saw the car - more again - opinions. Cheers, Ben.
  17. "sponsorship" something i drive, and they pay for

  21. yay!!! well dude, if you go to andrew pattersons pannel shop you'll see my baby.. in pieces, lying there hellplessly.. being raped over and over   in the mean time, its due for release on Friday :headspin: so we will see then.. i reckon its gonna be a whole new car so ill find out when im next free and catch up. id like to see what a skyline looks like up close, as ive never actually seen one inside or upfront :ghost: so keep intouch my email at work is [email protected] email me anytime. perhaps you can email me some pics of your new ride See ya round, Ben.

  23. its a 3000km round trip. but can be done in less than 10 hours of driving (one way) if your wallet can afford the fuel bill
