  1. I prefer holden stockies over Meisters. Come at me bro,
  2. ^ Yeah. They are very weird offsets to have. You almost have both extremes on the scale, too far in and too far out. You would be better off running the +22 because the +40 will most definitely rub. Running 10's on the front will also present issues with turning on full lock in regards to the front liner. Your rims will sit around 10mm outside the guard on the fronts, and about 5mm on the rears. Decent fitment, but you will need to run camber up front and stretch the rears.
  3. On the right car it suits. I think if I was running 265s on my 10.5s, it just wouldn't sit as nice. I don't see why there is need for discussion here - it all comes down to personal preference. If you don't like it, whatever. If you do like it, whatever. Everyone is going to have a separate opinion on the matter, but no one opinion is right. I dislike Work Meisters, I think they are disgusting looking rims. Doesn't mean someone else can't love them and put them on their car.
  4. Cheers dude! I have to admit I was worried when I was selecting the fitment without test fitting anything, and buying them outright. But I was so glad when I saw they were almost 100% perfect! Hope everything goes well for your car and fitment!
  5. Depending what kind of conversion, if any conversion at all, you have, depends on how easy or hard this is to do. This can be as easy as a $5 globe from supercheap, to having to special order a D2R globe from jappyjap. I would be more then happy to look at your car and help you with your problem, but living in the Swan Valley, you have a nice 40 minute drive to where I am. That being said, I do have a plethora of stock parts from my car that could potentially fix a few issues you may have. (every part I have modified my car with, I have kept the stock as a direct bolt on, for when the yellow devil attaches itself to my windshield  ) The other option would be taking a gazillion photos from heaps of different angles and hopefully get one that I can see what kind of globe it needs to be to replace. Then if you touch the xenon globe with your fingers, say goodbye to your lights and hello to an $85 globe.
  6. So they did the D2R to H1 conversion on your low beams? I have a feeling they converted mine to H3, but I will have to check. Either way I have stock high beam globes, and depending on your lows, I may be able to help with them as well. If not I can source some cheap globes - as in, I will 'borrow' them from work. That was the only thing they defected you for? Xenons? Hahahah, that sucks! I have been running 35w HID's on my lows for a year, and 55w HID's on my highs for 6 months. The ballasts aren't even secured under the bonnet, I kind of just wedged them in there. I am getting a yellow soon, I can just feel it.
  7. Safe but as flush as possible fitment with those rims, I would go 25mm fronts, (30mm if you are daring, still won't poke as much as my rims if you do go 30, but you will be close.) and for rears 35mm would be very close to my fitment as well. Factor in some camber for when you drop the car, and she should sit quite nicely. And yes I do know my car is dirty and has swirl marks, etc etc. Working on it.
  8. Yeah they are. I have a track day today. More then likely there will be some nice shots of the car from afar. I will get some good ones up later on in the weekend. Fitment is almost perfect [=
  9. I said IF (->IF<-) you wanted that EXACT fitment you would need camber arms. Sorry for me trying to help you, ungrateful douche.
  10. Skyline model = R34 GTT Wheel diameter = 18 Wheel width = 9.5 fronts, 10.5 rears Wheel offset = +22 fronts, +30 rears Tyre size = 225/40 fronts, 245/40 rears Modifications to fit = Guards rolled all round, coilovers to drop - not needed though. Can probably afford to slam the car a little more, but happy where it is for now. Poking about 3 mm all round. Perfect fitment in my mind. No scrubbing issues, except on full lock - fronts hit the liner, which is no issue in my mind. Will upload better pictures when I get the chance.
  11. The post is right there, how can you not read.. You will need camber arms for this exact fitment, if you don't, you are going to have to raise your car a lot for your fronts to clear. And he said there were no scrubbing issues except for the front liner. If you are lucky, you will have coilovers that allow up to 2deg camber, then you can do this without camber arms.
  12. The tyre that you want to run comes to personal choice, not down to offset. If you want your rim to sit in the guard nicer, you should get a better offset, not worry about what tyre to run, it should be your last issues. Get an offset that will fit, then get a tyre size to fit around that. I am running 245's because i will be poking about 5mm and need some stretch to bring it inside the guards, so I don't have to raise my car to get it above the tyre. The issue may be inside the guard, rather then how far the guard pokes.. But I guess if you are getting a new guard, the interior lining will need to be removed anyway.. 9.5+12 will sit fine inside the guard with pretty much no issues, then yes, you can use spacers if you like to bring it out to your desired poke, but if it is at the offset you want, you will be fine, I am running 9.5+22 fronts with issues only on full lock. Make sure you get some pictures up when this is done, it sounds beastly!
  13. To my knowledge, the offset didn't effect the width of tyre that can be run on a rim.. Just the width.. If you could elaborate on this if I am wrong, I would gladly appreciate the knowledge. I am running 245/40/18 on my 10.5+30's. As for your issues, running a 10.5+30 on your fronts you will have major issues, and I don't even believe it will fit inside the guards without hitting the suspension arms/front strut. From where the stock rim sits, the new rim will sit 30mm closer towards the suspension, I would check that you have ample clearance first. IF you have clearance, you will have scrubbing issues on turning, you will most likely need to remove the liner from the front guard and reallocate the harness, and the guards would need rolling, that is a given.
  14. So you did 75 in a 60 zone and didn't get a fine/pulled over and you are complaining? Yes it is true that cops profile people by the cars they drive. The reason you probably did not get pulled over is because they wouldn't have paid any attention to the car, possibly scanned the plates and realised it belonged to a 25(or whatever) year old woman with no prior fines. If you are in your R32, there is a certain stigma, and they will go out of their way to run your plates and check your car, it is the way it is when you own an import. Trust me, Holdens have it worse then us, because most of the f**kwits who do up those cars don't spend the time and effort we do, and dodge everything, like cutting/heating springs. The only example I can think of right now. It all comes down to the way you drive. I have had my r34 for over a year now and I am yet to be pulled over, (with the exception of booze busses) and it is by no stretch of the imagination legal. I even had my underglow (yes, I do have it, come at me bro) earth out on something and turn on without the switch, and still didn't get pulled over. Cops have U-turned at lights and cut across lanes and turned the wrong way, basically gone out of their way just to get behind me and run my plates. After running my plates to find out I haven't got any infringements, then they pull up beside me and eye off the car. Then the most amazing thing happens... THEY f**k OFF. Yes it is true, if you were in your 32, you probably would have got pulled over, but certainly not hoon lawed. You would have got $150 and 3 demerits, and when you talked shit to the cops, then they would have started to look around your car and possibly canary you. You get these idiots who say they get pulled over for nothing (and I'm sorry to the people that this actually happens to, even though it is a very small %) then abuse and be straight out dream boats to the police, and then complain they get a yellow sticker and have a cry against hoon laws. I know a lot of people who are police, and I have had the opportunity to converse with their partners and others in the force. They are just doing a job, and 99.9% of the time, if you are nice to them and not a prick, they will let you away with obvious yellow stickers. They also said this: there are "cops" in the force, and even they (the police) label them as cops. The ones that will pull you over for no reason and find any tiny little thing to defect you for and make your life hell, no matter how clean or defect-less your car may be. And the police hate these cops, because it gives them all a bad name. You see!?!? There is a small percentage of import owners who give us decent drivers a bad name, and cops have exactly the same problem!! Moral of the story here is, if you don't drive like a tool, and don't modify too excessively, you should be fine. I have a straight through exhaust, no cat, no mufflers - it is extremely loud. You know how I don't get pulled over? I don't redline it in traffic.
  15. Rain is just all like "f**k you and your nice car"
  16. Touche my friend, touche.
  17. Turned out to be power steering pump.
  18. Yeah mine are buckled as well, I have just been dealing with it for like 6 months haha. Do a stand still on the buckled rim and it will generally shave itself down to a flat point. Wastes rubber, but makes the ride more comfortable. I do have rims on order though. You can still get away with that offsets reverse and SHOULDN'T have any issues. The only issue you MAY have is with 9's on the front with such a shitty offset, it may potentially rub on the suspension, and on full lock it may scrub on the guard. Just running through my little file on 34 offsets, no one that I can see so far has run a 9 with a high offset in the fronts. You are better off having the thinner rim on the front as that is the wheel that does the turning, and will be the one to give you issues. If you want a decent, safe offset on drifteks, assuming you want 17's, and concave, I would go 17x8+20 fronts, 17x9+22 rears. You will most likely need to roll your guards, but that is safe, easy and quick, and will save you hassle in the long run. You won't poke outside the guards, nor too far inset, the only issue you will have will be running 2 different sized rims, and that (if the cop can spot it) will give you a canary. In that case go for 17x8+15 (the lowest offset I can see for drifteks), it won't poke as much, but it will be safer if you fear coppers or don't want defects. That being said, I am running 9.5 fronts and 10.5 rears. If there is anything else I can help you with, feel free to ask. And don't worry about being noob, everyone has to start somewhere. If you look back 10 pages you will see me noobing it up as well
  19. Absolutely no problems at all ever with that fitment. You won't even need rolled guards. That will be no stance, no poke, no dish or concave. It will be very uninteresting in my opinion, but hey, it's your car.
  20. Dude that seems like a fairly safe fitment. It will be close to flush, but more inset then poke, which I think is what you are going for. 235 on 9.5 will offer a fair amount of stretch, but it will remove most of the scrubbing issues you may have. Why are you going to run 255's on the rears? You MAY just scrub on full lock, but you shouldn't while driving unless you hit a canyon. I would say roll your guards (for the sake of 1 hour and $100, so worth it in the long run), and no need to run camber.. If you want to run camber, I suggest a more aggressive offset. I have seen a gtst with 18x9+22 and they poked by about 5mm on the fronts, and rears were inset slightly. If you were to run 255/265 on your rears (as my friend was running heavy stretch) then you have chosen what I believe to be the right offset. You seem to have done your research and I applaud you. Have fun with your fitment, and make sure you post pictures.
  21. If you took any sort of time to actually read this thread, you will realize that I am doing that exact fitment. I wish people would actually read the thread before posting. I went through 95 pages of this thread before I asked any questions. Took me a few hours, but at least I know what I am talking about now. Anyone can tell you it will fit, but you want to get the fitment that YOU want, not what other people say will look good. Either way. With that fitment, you will NEED the guards rolled, front and back. With no camber, you will poke fronts, and hopefully poke rears. Only by about 5mm, but poke none the less. Run stretched tyres, and lower the car onto them, and you will get some nice stance. I have a black gtt, going varrstoen 2.2.1 (te37 copy) rims. 225/30/18 fronts, 245/35/18 rears. You will get scrubbing on full lock on the plastic lining inside the front arches. If you don't have coil overs, get them. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/index.php?app=core&module=attach&section=attach&attach_rel_module=post&attach_id=396593 That is 18x9.5+20 all round. With that fitment we are wanting, fronts will be inset 2mm, rears will poke 3mm more. I have ordered my rims already and I plan to have them on in 2 weeks on my R&R week (I am up on site for 2 weeks). Pics will be up immediately. If you want to wait until then to see the fitment, and judge for yourself.
  22. I am about to buy 18x9.5+22 fronts. The way I see it, I don't full lock often. I am looking for form>function. But yeah, if you go the 8.75, you will be 12mm LESS poke. Depends if you want it to look good, or be functional. But I would go wider on the rears or think about bolt on spacers if you want some flush. I am going 18x10.5+30 rears, I don't think that is poke enough, but I haven't bolted them on to see, I am going off a mates car that has 18x9.5+20 all round and his rears are inset.
  23. 18x9.75+20 will poke fronts, inset rears. Won't need camber, will only scrub on full lock.
  24. Most coilovers have around 2 deg camber built in. Nar mate I just got mine from justjap, and they set me back $350 for all round, and they have been fine so far and I drive pretty hard.
  25. I own a 34, and because 33's are close, I can give advice. If I was you I would go through the thread yourself. Not hard, and you can make the decisions yourself, and you get to learn more.
