  1. 10+35 SHOULD fit rear, I had 10.5+30 and it fit no issues. Other than that, the 9+27 would be near on perfect.
  2. I have a spare VCT ring (good for dialing in cams on 30's) for the intake side if you would like to purchase. Apparently they have about 4 deg of movement.
  3. Oh are we encouraging this? So we can shotgun parts from the blown motor?
  4. Hektic sounds are great. Throwing a rod is not. What do you want more, a running engine? Or some flames to impress your mates.
  5. Can a mod please close this thread. Full of garbage.
  6. I would have thought most electrical stores would have had them. Jaycar/Alanco? Not sure where you live. I believe just as long as the terminals are completely submerged in fuel it should be fine.
  7. Hence why I said he should reconsider the offset as the tyre size is way too small IMO. Easy for me as I am running 9.5s.
  8. I believe they just have to be insulated? Or a special material so the fuel doesn't eat it?
  9. With that setup you are quite literally just moving the whole rim and tyre outwards by ~30mm. Honestly, I think it would fit but I would get your guards rolled as depending on the height of the car, it may rub. But if you are leaving stock suspension on I don't think you will have an issue. But you will be poking a fair bit, like 10mm outside the guard if you don't have aggressive camber setup. (Form > function) If running a degree of camber or 2 is ok with you, run some stretch on the tyres and you could lower it to your hearts content (after rolling your guards) and you could pretty much have the chassis on the ground. It will be low and aggressive, if that is what you are after. (Function > form) If you can go with a less aggressive offset (+10/+15) it would sit inside the guards flush, then you could run normal tyres. For reference, I am running the same poke as the wheels you want to buy. I have stretched tyres on the front, and it lowered as low as it could go. And rears I have left decent sizes rubber on and left it a little higher.
  10. Above is correct. Front and rear camber arms set me back $120 and $100 respectively, fairly easy to install but bolts will more than likely be rusted/seized and will be super tight to undo. But still I did myself. Plus another $70 for a wheel allignment. Just factor that in because you will destroy your tyres quick, and a new set will cost far more than a decent set of arms.
  11. SMH. (in agree-ance {is that even a word?})
  12. Oil light? You mean the MIL or "check engine" light? Car would have thrown a code, use self diagnosis to confirm what it is. Could be a number of things, and being intermittent, it will be hard to find unless you can narrow it down with a fault code.
  13. More of a joke rather than a serious consideration. I am making fun at the fact that he stated he wanted responsive 400hp but ended up going with a 800hp turbo. I do realise that there are many better turbos out there to consider, just like when people say they want to use a t04z.. Very outdated..
  14. Check battery voltage + terminals @ battery and starter.. Report back.
  15. Off topic, sorry. But holy hell that is one damn fine looking machine. Custom paint?
  16. I have myself used ksports and tien super streets. Ksports offer much more adjustment (can go REALLY REALLY low, like chassis on the ground low) and fronts are slightly camber adjustable, but they also felt very hard and would be a good track option, but as a daily at the time, was not functional - you will feel everything on the road. I now have tien SS. No where near as much height adjustment (I have them set as low as possible, and it will only lower by about ~30mm or so) and no camber adjustment, but on the "hardest" spring setting, they are still very soft and perform well for street use (now just a weekender, but have taken it on a skidpan and felt very nice) Below is the fronts on lowest setting, rears raised by around 20mm.
  17. I have recently put on a new boot as my old one was filled with expandable foam. New boot seems to be in good nick, but on the left side sits a little low (not very much) and the right side is sitting high (about 2-3mm). My question is: is there any way to adjust the boot so it sits flat, or does this mean the boot I have bought is warped? Cheers.
  18. New boot is painted and is on. Turns out 4 bolts wasn't enough to hold on the spoiler according to the previous owner - he has also glued the spoiler on. A LOT of glue. I actually can't pull it off. Will search around for a new spoiler while I am trying to pull this one off. Master cylinder stopper has been bought. Will fit up this week. Also bought high mount exhaust manifold and freddy plenum, will ask someone in my family to buy me a fuel rail and throttle body for christmas. Hopefully that will get put on early next year, and retune with the q45 afm. Got the HICAS elimination kit going on later this month, got a mechanic booked in. Will get him to lower my coilovers at the same time on the rears.
  19. And I wouldn't expect it to be cheap either. Mspec Nur in Perth? Imported or?
  20. ^ This guy. I like this guy.
  21. Great minds think alike? Old: New: Sorry, I really should take some decent photos haha.
  22. Looks clean and unmolested Peter. Nice work. Black on black works great when it has the polished lip to break it up. Top effort
  23. Definitely.
  24. Skidpan was heaps of fun. Learned how to control my car out of a slide which was nice because I don't do anything that stupid on the street, so this was the first chance I've had to really push the car. Oil cooler was the greatest idea, took a long time for the oil to get up to 105deg, and once there, a quick drive around would cool it back to ~85. Car felt great, brakes didn't fade and nothing broke so win win. I put 235s on the rears and they were good enough to get traction when I needed, but also gave me the ability to slide when powering out of corners. I did about 25 laps around the skid pan, and only 3 laps around the 'track' because I had to leave early due to family commitments. All in all it was a great day. I chose one of the better videos and uploaded to youtube. I think it may be time to invest in a gopro so I can take some better videos. http://youtu.be/Vo01IsJ3PnI
