  1. This one I'm looking at is still internally gated, That being said the same turbo setup for external gate is like $30 cheaper I'll pm u after work Scotty to discuss my options. If anything needs modifying I would definatly get u to do it again
  2. Probably a stupid question to some but you don't know if u don't ask. I'm looking at a td06 20g 8cm kando dynamics turbo for my 32 and it has v-band which I'm not familiar with, how do I make this work with my current 6bolt split dump? Is there some form of adaptor plate? Any feedback would be great, cheers guys - trent
  3. Thanks for all your input guys, still yet to have a proper look tho because of work. Will keep you updated for whoever is interested
  4. Yeah I will go all over that on the weekend cheers, I wound the boost down on my controller and my gauge still reads 15psi, I'm going to check the hoses off the solenoid aswell
  5. It's a Garrett and no I wasn't going to run both, you can keep your cake mate
  6. Between me,a mechanic and a boiler maker I reckon it's do-able, just read your write-up on modifying the standard manifold, sweet job dude.
  7. Is it a hard mod to DIY? I have access to a workshop. Hoist/tools/welder etc
  8. ^Hi-jacking thread* I have a gt2835r on my rb20 r32 tracky and my internal gate is jamming on the dump pipe, I've had the dump pipe off about 10 f**king times shaving more n more out of the dump and it is still getting caught, I'm thinking of changing to a external setup just to avoid this issue. What are your guys thoughts? Unsure of rear housing size sorry. Cheers- Trent
  9. I went pretty hard at winton over the weekend and once I got my car home and drive it I noticed it is only hitting 15psi compared to my normal 18psi. My first thort was turbo on the way out as there was oil all over that side of the engine bay, but turns out my catch can was full and my drain plug wasn't done up properly. I did rip out one of my bolts from a flange on the decat pipe and the arse end of my exaust is just hanging on. Is the lack of back pressure enough to make boost drop by 3psi? I think the spring in my actuator is 15psi, possibly stuffed boost controller? What lines/hoses can I check that may have come loose? I havnt had a chance to look over the car properly because of work I will get stuck into it over the weekend. I will check cooler piping and fins/shaft play aswell just want to cover all bases. My car is a r32 gtst Cheers guys - Trent
  10. From memory the water return is at the back of the engine? Can u confirm that warp3d? Any chance u can get a breaker bar onto it? And soak the bolt in wd40 or equivalent might loosen it up abit
  11. Yeah I used a brass reducer with thread on either side one to match the thread on the turbo, and the other to match the braided line
  12. My dump pipe had 5x12mm nuts and one 13mm :s also I had just enough room to use my 1/2 inch breaker. Something smaller would have been easier tho, As for the banjo bolts are u refuring to the ones on the turbo? I MIGHT have my old ones laying around. If u have the time and money I'd go braided lines tho. Edit: just read it is for the water line, if I remember I will have alook after work, u may still need to replace the copper washer tho
