  1. But wait, there is another... the Billet Coil Kits (Godzilla Motorsport) R35 kit is a decent option, looks the part and performs as advertised - speaking from experience.
  2. Nice! Which turbine housing, 1.01 or 1.21? Time to locate a local Mainline hub dyno
  3. Cheers. Sounds like a good plan. Might even give a hub dyno a go at some stage.
  4. Yokohama A050, I think they're M compound.
  5. Well they were quality thumb sucks [emoji4][emoji106] It made 533kW at 26-25psi. Not sure what it makes at 20psi. I remember it making 421rwkw at 19psi during early tuning a year or so back (posted info in the RB30 results thread) but it was far from optimal and it was prior to properly setting up the boost control. Shaun's Dynotech DD dyno is a bit stingy too, having ran both my 33 (345rwkw at the time) and Stage 2+ Golf Pirelli GTI (193fwkw) on Shaun's and then a Mainline roller dyno across town, where they both picked up 21rwkw (366rwkw) and 19fwkw (212fwkw) respectively. I think another 1psi and a slightly more optimistic roller dyno would put my 33 right in line with your theoretical 569 figure.
  6. My real world result is quite close to your theoretical numbers, Lith. The GTX3584RS with 542 at 25psi and 569 at 30psi vs mine with 550 at 29psi.
  7. Video of one of the dyno runs: It made 525kW at 27-26psi. We then turned the boost up to 29psi and on the next run just as it passed through 545kW the compressor outlet pipe clamp let go at about the 6000+rpm mark. Probably would have gone close to 555ishrwkw on that run. We quickly replaced the busted clamp and fired off two more runs at 29psi, both in the 549.Xrwkw range. I still think my GTX3584RS 1.01 combo is capable of 560-570rwkw on this dyno, with boost set to about 32-33psi. But the fuel system is completely maxed out at well over 90% DC and I'm not willing to increase base pressure any higher than 56-57psi. Close enough to call it 550rwkw will do. I have a Racelogic Traction Control system installed in the car and on the drive home I quickly discovered the previous setting of 5% slip is not enough to prevent excessive wheel spin in 3rd gear as it ramps up to peak torque. Lowering it to 4% was a little better, but 3% might be required. 0% is the wet weather setting through to 25% is minimal TC input.
  8. Upgraded the main and head studs, switched from Splitfires to an R35 coil kit to solve the misfiring above 25psi, and added a few other things. Upped the boost to 29psi and made a few extra kilowatts and more torque. Boost control and area under the curve is a work in progress, response was better before the upgrades so no doubt it can be improved upon again. Feels good on the street and makes peak boost in the 4+k RPM range.
  9. Sounds like you've got some kind of inferiority complex over this stuff. They've made Fast and Furious movies for years and featured some the most iconic tuner and enthusiast cars from around the world, everything from US muscle to old school British Escort. If the R32 was "the" Skyline of the R32 through R34 era they'd have featured it. They haven't.
  10. It's interesting to note that the most famous car movie franchise in history has featured the Skyline as one of the "hero" cars on a few occasions. Both the R33 and R34 were used in the early movies when the cars were as much a part of the storyline as the characters. The R32 has been overlooked as a featured car. I wonder why...
  11. The Godzilla Motorsport / Billet Coil Kits R35 kit fits under the coil cover too - same kit as fitted to (was fitted to?) KING32 and the MotiveDVD R32 GT-R. BCK have their own custom R35 coil available now - tested to extremely high boost, RPM, and power levels. My kit pictured below:
  12. Shaun/Boostworx is one of best bang for buck in Adelaide. You will be very hard pressed to find anyone else with the same level of knowledge and skills, particularly when it comes to more involved modifications or fault rectification. And good luck find anywhere that offer a complete in-house service at such sensible prices.
  13. 140mph is about right for the weight of an R32 GTR and the peak power figure on a hub dyno.
  14. Same turbine housing as mine. Your dyno figure kind of matches my results. All things being equal... 580ish @ 32psi hub dyno figure vs. 530ish @ 26psi on a roller dyno. I'm looking forward to seeing what mine makes at 32-33psi. Looking forward to seeing your dyno sheet to compare response between the RB26 vs. RB25/30. Also looking forward to seeing what MPH yours runs at the drag strip.
  15. 1.01 or 1.21 rear? 32-33psi?
  16. Come to think of it the last dyno session was the same day I saw your beast had been on the dyno earlier in the day! Yours has probably got more mumbo now but at the time it was 385ish and 600+ Nm vs 533 and just shy of 900Nm.
  17. Wow! Shows how out of touch I am these days, family life and kids sports will do that. I would've been willing to take that challenge, and still am. Racelogic Traction Control with launch control and boost-by gear will certainly help me. Power is unknown at this stage, it was making 533kW at the wheels on 26psi. I should have a fair idea next week how much it makes at max boost (30-35+psi)
  18. The workshop I'm associated with has done a few RB25DET and RB25DET Neo + GTX3076R .82 combo's, in fact they've got a Neo + GEN2 GTX3076R there at the moment. From memory the results are all in the 380-400+kW at the wheels range, the highest being 417ish at 27-28psi. The dyno is a current model Dyno Dynamics Dynotech 2WD roller dyno.
  19. Yes mate, it's a friends VL.
  20. Not a DET [emoji6] See original post.
  21. It's a dedicated drag car but running H-pattern for something a little different. 9.81 @ 142 with high 400s. New set-up should go a fair bit quicker. More boost still to come. Plan is up to up it to around 40psi.
  22. RB30ET with GTX3584RS 1.01 Aftermarket H-pattern 'box 28psi increasing to 34psi Roller dyno
  23. Nice find mate [emoji1303] Can report that the car is great to drive. Still plenty of urge below 4000rpm, more than enough to get in trouble. Above 4000 in 3rd it will do a rolling burnout. TC is back from the UK and hope to have it running soon.
