  1. Spotted YOU today, Hampstead or Bridge Rd, somewhere like that - can't remember exactly where it was.
  2. When it comes to annoying Shaun and Troy (especially Troy) nobody does it better than me. Next time you're at Boostworx casually ask Troy if the following words make any sense to him: 'Matt and stainless allen key fasteners' ;-) lol
  3. A simple yet highly effective way to slow potential thieves down is to modify the ECU bracket (holds ECU in behind kick-panel) so that the ECU can be removed and refitted as required. With this kind of set-up in place it's a 1 minute job to R&R the ECU. Kind of hard to start the car without the ECU fitted. Of course, thieves can simple bring their own ECU along, but hey, at least it adds to the time they need to successfully steal your pride and joy.
  4. Ha-ha. Harsh, but oh so true. Me too mate! See you soon.
  5. G'day Simon, Thanks mate. We will have to catch up at Autosalon. Yes there's been a few changes since those early days.
  6. G'day Andy. It's been a while mate. Love your 'new' car. A Bridgestone VIP hey, Pauly. Hmmm... I'm in need of a fresh set of RE55S Dan, you have e-mail. I found you on the work system (unless there's another CFN Dan SXXXX at 16AD)
  7. From what I've seen of the cars entered, there is a good spread of power and cosmetic mod's. Something for everyone Well, we're fairly closely aligned then, Dan. I'm a RAAF Avionics Technician - pretty much the same as an ET in the Army. I'm at DSTO (near RAAF Edinburgh). The unit I'm with is Tri-Service (Army, Navy and RAAF) and surprisingly enough we regularly liase with the guys at 16AD Woodside (RBS70 sim' and info').
  8. About 95% of it has been done here in SA. There's a mix of chrome, polished alloy, mirror polished stainless and some of it is silverchrome ceramic coating. You can't really see that much in the pic'. I did some of it but most of it is professional work. A1 Metal Finishers Ceramic Coat Australia (part of Pacemaker Headers) Stan's polishing (or something like that?)
  9. Thanks, Luke. As I wrote above, that picture is a little old now. There's still a bit more work to do - the engine bay should be looking a bit better and much cleaner by Autosalon time. Yep mate, I remember you
  10. My car has been entered as part of the SAU entry. Is my engine bay to your standard, Dan? (Picture is a few months old and taken via camera phone) RWKW? I'm not sure yet... hopefully 60-80rwkw more than it had last time I hit the drag strip. Thought I'd add an interior picture too. *EDIT* The engine bay was far from finished when this shot was taken... there's a lot more bling to come yet Completely off topic but, Dan, are you a weekend warrior or are you a regular? And where are you currently based (Keswick, Woodside, Hampstead or the other one - Oaklands Park area - I can't recall at the moment) ? I'm guessing you're a PTE. Been in very long? Me: SGT. Been 'in' for ~18yrs.
  11. Dropped in to see Ang from Ang's Audio on Sat' (on my way to BW) and saw DIRTY2 getting it's 'alarm and that'
  12. C'mon lads, there's no need for anyone to get their knickers in a knot. Having seen most of your cars in the flesh, you're all guilty of varying levels of 'rice' anyway And hey, there's nothing wrong with a decent sized serving of power and a side dish of rice.
  13. Haha! Hey Will/Daz/lads Yes I'm still here every now and then. The car has been a stationary display since Mar 06. These things take time... and you know how much I love my detailing But not long to go now! Should, no make that WILL, be ready to go by Autosalon.
  14. But you've got to laugh at the irony of your signature block ;-)
  15. Die-hard Crows member, with a small soft spot for the Swans (12yrs in Sydney does that to you). But I'm a realist and will readily admit that we have a real chance of missing the 8 and any chance of playing finals this year. We are 7-6 so far with games against Geelong at Skilled, Essendon and Collingwood in Melb' and the Hawks at AAMI to come, plus our form at home this season sucks badly! We will probably finish the season with 11 or 12 wins and miss out on the 8. Too many injuries at the tail end of last season and early this season, and too many players playing unfit or out of form (i.e. Roo). And to make matters worse we just lost one of our best defenders for at least 2-3wks. Port look to be on the rise again. The next two games will be the big test, a down but not out Bulldogs and then the big one... Eagles at AAMI. Should be an awesome game!
  16. Daz, tell the real story. It was 471.3rwkw - that point 3 can make a big difference Three 450-470+rwkw runs, back-to-back and in 40+'c heat. Impressive stuff.
  17. Hey Dan, I'm guessing you want to keep the answers to my questions (see my post above) a secret.
  18. Sinistagtst, I had a quick look at your 33 last Sat'. It looks like it has all the required 'goodies' in the engine bay. Is it a GT3540? And what cams are you running?
  19. Ah Will, you know me mate, I love thy bling Yeah, between your wheels and my engine bay we've got it all covered It sounds reasonably tough for a 6. A bit loud though. Thanks Brenton. I haven't forgotten about the BB PM either mate!
  20. *Mr Burns Voice* E-x-c ssss-e-l-l-e-n-t!
  21. G'day Joel, Getting pretty close now mate. It's running. We've still got a dozen or so smaller tasks to complete (mostly asthetic) and we 'may' end up having to swap the exhaust housing & wheel over if it shows in tuning that it's too large. See attached pic, taken 2wks ago. Ha-ha yeah mate that A/C install is a classic! But it works. Yeah good to meet you too. The wheels on your 33 look awesome!
  22. Good to hear it all came together in the end Andrew Sorry I didn't get back to you on Sun'. My humble apologies mate, I did ask Shaun on Sun' morning, but he forgot to check his spares pile - and I forgot to remind him. I owe you a beer!
  23. Boost worx is even better, now the boys have an A/C unit 'mounted' in the overhead framework I spent a fair part of both Sat' and Sun' down at the workshop working on the R33, in the prime location... right under the A/C outlet *aaaahhhh*
  24. Yep mate, that IS the plenum I've upgraded to. G'day to all the old school people I can't recall exactly when I started logging onto Skylines Down Under - the Kiwi Skyline site that led to this site - but it was about the same time that I bought my 33 (1999ish) I think? Hey John, the drag car is looking awesome mate - as it always has. Best of luck with running the numbers.
  25. I'm still on here... but a lack of spare time and the 33 off the road undergoing a small upgrade has me laying low these days.
