There's a few different types of Redline g'box oils, Shockproof Lightweight is probably the best option for the R33 GTS25t g'box. Redline gear lubricants For a full rundown have a read here - www.redlineoil.com The Aussie site isn't much good but here it is www.redlineoil.com.au

S&J Automotive (I think that's their name? - WRX specialists) sell Redline products too.

Awesome piece of machinery, but I have to say... those wheels look ghey

I agree Steve. I've lived in and/or had long visits to all states & territories of Australia at one time or another, and without doubt SA/Adelaide has "THE" poorest quality city and suburban streets/roads in the country. Melbourne might have "some" bad ones but nothing compared to here in Adelaide! Traffic light speed camera fine (revenue payment) - 3wks till it arrived in my letterbox.
-
2km/h less and the fine drops into the mid hundreds, speaking from recent experience

A CLK GTR and a F50 (& I think I see a F360 in there too, yes?) yeah just your average daily drivers - NOT! Awesome post and pics Chappy

And farm machinery comes in AWD

Hey Irish, I thought you switched to using contacts mate? Your avatar photo is exactly what you look like except for the glasses The 33 GT-R belongs to trick (SAU nick) or Mick. Shane's was the 32 GT-R.
-
Sorry to hear it Steve, and I don't just mean the car If you ever need a hand with anything you know my number mate.
-
Naa I've got no plans to sell my 33 But I could handle having a GTi-R no prob's, people would get used to the ugly "rear end" soon enough
-
It was a reasonable turn out considering the weather: Mick's 33 GT-R, Shane's 32 GT-R, a couple of Familias(sp?), a VR4, a couple of 33 and 32 GTS's, Stu's WRX wagon and Irish and I in his wicked little GTi-R I want a GTi-R! Irish's little Pulsar is so quick point to point. And talk about grip!!! I can't believe how well it can accelerate, stop and corner on a rain soaked road!!!
-
Yeah I might come along... PM please trick Edit: PM sent to Nismostu.

YES!!!!! I will CERTAINLY be in that - not right away, but soon. Say in a about 4 weeks time.

Whilst I do agree with the general vibe of my fellow Adelaide SAU members (driving experience and performance comments), I still thank you for including us in your invite Marlon Hope it turns out well mate.

Ok, I contacted Aust Post and for two seats it will cost the following: Adelaide to Sydney - ~$19ea (~$40 pair) Adelaide to Canberra - ~$24ea (~$50 pair) Adelaide to Brisbane - ~$30ea (~$60 pair) Adelaide to Melbourne - ~$18ea (~$36 pair) Much cheaper than I thought! EDIT: Too cheap in fact - AUST POST WERE WRONG. PRICES ABOVE ARE "NOT" CORRECT. WILL FIND OUT CORRECT FREIGHT COSTS SHORTLY.

That lawnmower runs 10's Dean.. on nitrous and ELF fuel. It'll cut through steel star pickets too! NOT FOR SALE - sorry cul202, I'll find out how much freight costs when sending large items from Adelaide to wherever. To get both Recaro fitted and good to go (they have rails but don't suit an R33/32) into an R33/32 I have been quoted ~$250 to $350. Bride rails will also suit these seats, but Bride rails cost heaps! I paid ~$250 for one.

Awww c'mon guys... you're all being a bit harsh, but I have to say I love the honesty I know I have out dated tastes, but I just can't stand those UGLY (and heavy) chrome rims on that Silver S2 GTS25t - YUCK!

10.8 - awesome!

Big difference from Sydney Lach! I recall many a minus 2 degree morning out in the west (Richmond/Penrith areas). It would warm up to about the same as (possibly more than) Adelaide though. At least in Adelaide we don't get the freezing subzero mornings. I don't miss them one bit.

Building trust, hmmm... trust, good idea for a number plate

Your not bad are you Steve, I make a post about a bit of decent service (that is all too rare in this day and age - in ANY field!) and you have nothing but negatives to say. *Sigh*… I guess it's fair enough, as everyone is entitled to his or her say. You say that, "very few others here on the forums would get the treatment…", I can think of at least 5 people off the top of my head that have had the same level as I have. What you have to remember Steve is that a level of customer - workshop loyalty has to be forged. If you go from one workshop to another and then to a Japanese tuner and then back to another workshop and so on, then I guess you will never form a decent connection with any one workshop/tuner. I don’t think you’d see many workshops charging much less for the same 5min job, it was actually closer to 15mins Ok so maybe he should’ve charged you $30 or $40, but what about when Shaun did 4+hrs worth of tuning for you and charged you ~$300, I’d say that wasn’t too bad a price wouldn’t you? For what it’s worth I usually pay $30 for a few tweaks and sometimes I don’t get charged at all – but I have always returned MY business to him! I return my business to him because his is good at what he does, is honest, and as far as I and others are concerned, charges reasonable prices. I dare say you would get better treatment from James and D1 than I as you have connections with them, so feel free to tell all about your positive experience with them. Finally, you must have seen something positive about Shaun and Boost Worx otherwise you wouldn’t have asked Shaun if he had any work for you.

I know I plug Shaun and Boost Worx a bit on here, but it's for good reason, read on... On Saturday night I was heading out for dinner in the trusty Sigma, I had just turned onto Port Rd when all of a sudden the clutch decided it didn't want to play the game any more The pedal almost went to the floor and I couldn't get it into gear at all. I knew the Sigma's clutch was a tad worn, but I wasn't expecting it to die completely - and so suddenly!. I rang a mate who was only 5mins away (working on his GTi-R) he and another mate drove out with some tools to see what they could do, I wasn't dressed for getting my hands dirty . After a few minutes of trying to suss the situation it was decided it was time for a new clutch and I'd be best leaving the trusty Sigma and returning the following day to tow it This is where Shaun/Boost Worx come in... That night I rang Shaun and explained the symptoms, the next day he drove down and picked up the car on his car trailer, took it back to the workshop, found the fault (a bolt had come loose holding the clutch cable bracket and the bolt had jammed preventing the cable from freely moving) and had it fixed in ~10mins. He's got the clutch feeling better than it ever has Shaun's wife even drove the Sigma back home for me. For all of Shaun's assistance he charged me a grand total of $0 Shaun - you are a bloody legend
